Went to my first glow disc last Friday. Threw into a gorge. Scariest funnest moment climbing down to get my disc. Anyway, I loved it! Gonna go out again!
I think I shoot better in the dark than in the daytime. The guy who runs our glow leagues always packs extra discs and lights for people who are trying it out for the first time. I have a mix of glow disks and snickered discs. Too much fun!
Beast UV light is boss. Eclipse Lift is beyond the brightest disc I have ever seen. So excited for the Eclipse Crave as well as MVP crushes it for glow discs. Also, Firefly glow tape is awesome, so you can use any disc.
Depending on the manufacturer, the glow can fade fast (innova) especially if the discs are a year old or more. They're also difficult to find in snow. I suggest putting a light on the glow disc as well. Last glow discs tend to be a but on the over stable side compared to the same non glow mold.
Was in Australia recently and came across a Moonshine (1.0) Stag. Since I had never seen one, I grabbed it. It’s not a great glow plastic, but it is a Stag that I can throw at Glowie rounds.
would love to see a video where it is mainly focused on the discs glowing at night! i haven't had a chance to get out and try and i would bet it would turn out great on video like fireworks!
I haven't played a glow round myself, but I have to say, putting a UV flashlight in my bag was a game changer. I finish a lot of rounds in the dark, and those UV lights will light up glow discs (obviously), but also a lot of non-glow plastic as well if it's a bright color. I've found a ton of discs with it on my local wooded course, returning lots of discs to locals, and finding some free no-names as well.
One piece of advice i have is to clean or scuff up a new disc if you are putting glow stickers. I've had stickers fly off mid flight or after hitting a tree. Also put a small one on the underside as well.
SAFETY TIP: if you don’t have one of the traditional metal disc retrievers, bring a Swiss army knife or something small like pepper spray that can be used to defend yourself on glow rounds. You NEVER know what kind of nutjob might try to run up on you in the dark.
Just started the video and saw Adam was on and had to comment. "Adam is the man!" Great guy... exciting to see him on the channel!
You are!!!
I’ve been waiting for someone to do a glo vid! Thank you sir!
After finally experiencing my first glow round, I think i'm in love😂
Love playing glow golf. Play better at night when I cant see the low branches I worry about😅

Hey thanks for this video❤

Sweet! Two of my favorite people. Love the glow events, top notch. I will be lighting up the baskets around my property from now on.

Glow rounds out in Las Vegas were amazing. After a super hot day and at a flat grass course, it was perfect.

I use a 2 USB ultraviolet led light strips for $10 on Amazon that I stuck on cardboard and use a small reflective cooler for a bag.

On the underside is huge. Played with a guy last week who only stickered the top and we struggled some times!
hey.. i just played that course!!! :)
You picked the wrong daylight savings time for the glow video but fun subject.
Hahaha I definitely thought about that after planning this one!
Also: I've seen the front edge of tee pads marked with glowsticks and UV paint on fairway trees/trip hazards.
We do that. That course has glow tape on the front of the pads! And we have some lights we set up for bigger events!

Really good tip.
so are the solar lights at civitan permanently for everyone to use now? i had noticed them on the baskets but didnt realize what they were.
Permanent feature yep!! They honestly glow all night, the sun is turning them back off in the morning!!
Have at it!
Good job editing that spitting out. I almost turned the video off, but saw the jumps, and realized you were aware of how this offends some.
I am a bob and I'm not ready for glow golf.
Well then today's video is for you!! :)
Takes 10 minutes before they actually start talking about "What You Need to Get Started with Glow Disc Golf" smh
