People are commenting on the yelling. He's just energetic with his delivery and honestly I support it as it definitely kept my attention while studying for a philosophy quiz.
Well laid out I guess but really hard to focus on the concepts with all the yelling and energetic delivery. I wouldn't take a college course with this guy.
I agree !! It's soo intense... !!! Great if it helps people to learn and great people are testing new methods but this isn't it for me lol. It's so hard to pay attention to this
A little rushed, perhaps is nice to slow down enjoy the language and words, mull thoughts - These were thoughtful men who chose words well, and presented them as orators and teachers of kings... I don't want to feel so rushed,
Same, and I still only half understand, Aristotle seems to be near-incomprehensible to the layman, like I’ve read sections of Plato, and it’s not nearly as dense
Russell, dont listen to these losers in the comment section, the way that you deliver this is AMAZING, and we are all so thankful for what you do!! You've saved my grade more times than is probably healthy 😂 Thank you Russell!
I understand your energy in the video, but it’s a bit too loud to concentrate on what you are teaching. Perhaps you might consider lowering the volume level or getting further away from the mic and speaking slower and calmly. This will get the message across smoothly for all your viewers. I hope my constructive criticism doesn't offend you. I am simply speaking from a viewer's point of view and not at all mean to insult your translation of the dialogue. As I still find it valuable and helpful. I really appreciate the help you provided for me today.
I loved the content and the graphics modality but the reporter is quite irritating to due his pitch and the speed. It would be better to atleast know when to pitch and adjust the volume and to slow down a bit to better understand the content. Still, loved the video.
Because the they teach the noblest thoughts, and compassionate ways of thinking which are still relevant!. Aristotle's ethics, or study of character, is built around the premise that people should achieve an excellent character. Aristotle emphasized the practical importance of developing excellence (virtue) of character, as the way to achieve what is finally more important, excellent conduct. As Aristotle argues in Book II of the Nicomachean Ethics, the man who possesses character excellence will tend to do the right thing, at the right time, and in the right way. Bravery, and the correct regulation of one's bodily appetites, are examples of character excellence or virtue. So acting bravely and acting temperately are examples of excellent activities. The highest aims are living well, and eudaimonia - a Greek word often translated as well-being, happiness or "human flourishing" Like many ethicists, Aristotle regards excellent activity as pleasurable for the man of virtue. For example, Aristotle thinks that the man whose appetites are in the correct order actually takes pleasure in acting moderately. Still good advice in any age. and probably replicated across successful cultures from confucius, mencius to buddha. The cultivation of a person to become everything they can be.
I would have learned so much better in high school if my teachers shouted the whole lesson like this guy does

Great content! I found the delivery helped me focus on the material and not drift off as is so easy with these types of texts!
A little rushed, perhaps is nice to slow down enjoy the language and words, mull thoughts -
These were thoughtful men who chose words well, and presented them as orators and teachers of kings... I don't want to feel so rushed,
Then read a fucking book and don't watch a 5 minute video on Aristotle
Fun fact: "telos" literally means "end" (eg the end of the road), and both words have the same second meaning as well
dude oh my god can you not yell at me
This is a good summary 👍 thanks. I was really misinterpreting my textbook I guess
Same, and I still only half understand, Aristotle seems to be near-incomprehensible to the layman, like I’ve read sections of Plato, and it’s not nearly as dense

I am only watching this because I am helping someone with an assignment and I wonder why people study these things

im failing this paper bro
Bro is high.
something about you pisses me off. too damn excited..
What’s he so souped up about? His artificial exuberance distracts from presentation, and gives new meaning to the term “talking head”.
Why is this guy shouting!!! Im outta here.
Now do it in one breath, no balls.
Change your voice. You mess up using your voice that way. Anoying!!!!!
Any Indian here mate😅
bro why are you yelling
He is more like my math teacher. Nothing but a lot of yelling
why do you talk like this dude lol you're like yelling at me... i get that its exciting stuff but lay off the coffee.
