Robin Olds PWEEEEEEZE
Yarnhub, can you please make a video about Robin Olds?
Your are my fav youtuber I love watching the dogfights in the air like the old dam buster vid!
4:28 how come nobody realized the ode to Mr. Tyler Durden? YARNHUB this is a best Easter egg I've ever seen in a You Tube video. #fightclub
I never agree to ppl that the old animation was bad at all. They were good, in another way simply. I enjoy everything from then to now.
Those who complain clearly then aren't nearly as interested in the story being retold either.
Me too buddy
The old animation were not bad for what the team could do at the time. People who say the old animations are bad are definitely newcomers.
I would watch this channel even if it were just a PowerPoint. It feels passionate and is unique. The better animations these days are just a bonus.
Id like to see most people do better than this simply you probley can't
Thank you for making these videos, it’s so important people never forget about WW2 and the incredible stories that came with it
My great uncle served in ww2 but unfortunately was in the Wehrmacht and was a major.
@@ApeElijahwas he evil?
@@MessiGoat.amp10 you wanna know more about him?
@@ApeElijah sure
Imagine being drunk, then a Canadian shows up, tells you that you're surrounded. Then he has a shot with you and then convinces you to drive him around town while he proceeds to throw grenades and sprays random houses is amazing lol
Fascinating tale about the Soviet cook, the German tank, and the tarp. All the tankers needed to do was reverse out of there, but the kept shooting blindly…weird way to get yourself into the gulag
Гулаг ещё заслужить надо. Немцев ждала менее счастливая участь
Back into a Forrest? Where they might have battled Soviets?
@@MaxTheLegend_YTgerman tankmen were all issued with a walther p38 pistol and the commander would have an mp40 sub machine gun too. I don't know why they didn't fight back considering they could have either drove forward a bit or reversed a bit and then opened the hatches and probably shot the Russian lol I guess the element of surprise and the illusion of more than 1 Russian soldier being around the tank made them think otherwise. That was some mad courage and calm thinking from the Russian.
@@leesaunders1930 They truly believed they were being ambushed by 50+ men probably..
cut the music to lowd can harley hear the narration 🎉
I’m gonna agree with Lancelot’s comment as well, the early videos had their own personality with their art style. It never took away from the story being told. I loved watching the art slowly improve as you guys tried new things over the years. I’ve enjoyed it all.
My grandpa was a navy aviation mechanic during WWII. At 19 years old he was changing the out guns on everything from Mustangs to B-17 Fortresses, during fights he'd work loading up canons or directing the ammunition resupplies for the gunners. He really didn't like talking about his time in the Pacific but the scene in Black Hawk Down where they had to clean out the blood and empty shells off the back of a Humvee made him tear up and walk out the room so I figure he must've seen alot of that during his service. He also reupped during Korea and worked mainly on bases. When the war ended he worked as a gas station mechanic. He lost 4 fingers, pinky and top two kuckles on his ring finger on his left hand while changing out a gun and middle and ring finger on his right when a red hot machine gun slipped and just melted them off when a chain broke and it slid. His entire back got charred during an out of control oil fire so he walked with a slight limp and hunchback during Korea. He recovered and went right back to work, but the war "ended" literally 3 days later. I wish more attention was given the unsung heroes of wars who make sure the weapons and equipment our soldiers use are working properly.
Respect to your grandpa
LET GO YARNHUB thank you very much for your amazing videos , graphics, and stories I hope you guys get to way over a million subscribers
29 likes and zero commenters let me fix that
Thanks
I hope yarnhub can make a deal with the history channel to let us see his video's on real tv. It wil be realy good and i wil wach all of them.
@@tjn5058 that would be great
@@tjn5058cant.
Not enough propaganda
Hello Yarnhub.. I am from India.. It is my privilege to let you know that your contents and it's presentations are outstanding. I admire listening to war stories of all era. Thank you so much..
Every soldier was a hero in ww2
Edit: I meant every soldier that wasn’t evil you guys know what I mean
Including the Germans, Japs, and Italians?
Yes except the SS
Yes agree that was the greats genration we have or will ever had ❤
@@fnafy-4859thats just one division also italy and japan were bad arguably Japan was the worst
@fnafy-4859 what about that one guy who joined em to fight the Soviets and also became a Green Beret?
this will easily become a 10 million subscriber channel. All of your videos are well made and have a lot of effort put into them, and for someone that loves hearing stories seeing a video from you guys in my notifications always makes my day.
not really 10 million but i think it'll at least get a million or 2 subs because the storytelling is way better than the animation
I've been here since your earliest work. It's the stories that people love, the animation in the old days had massive charm, your present work is impeccable, but it's the stories of real people in real circumstances that are so appealing, you're a great storyteller and a visual poet..your depictions of flowers and vegetation are just beautiful..to this day the white lilies blooming all around Lydia's wrecked airplane still get me..that was lyrical as hell...
Who said their (g)old animations are bad? They are great just more cartoon than realistic but equal as good
I saw monteiths grave in normandy, never knew the story till now.
Phenomenal content. The amount of work that goes into this must be insane.
Its not often you get to sub to a channel that is so clearly going to grow massively in the future. I'm glad to be here for this one
Gastello, Matrosov, Talalihin, Kosmodemianskaya,Golikov, Sirotinin, Kozhedub, Kolobanov, Burda, Lavrinenko, Gintovt, Marinesko, Pavluchenko, Pavlov, and over 20 millions Soviet soldiers which named Petrov, Ivanov, Sidorov , this is really Heroes of II WW !! Don't forget this!
my grandfather loved hearing about Desmond Doss, a great Christian and war hero.
I've never understood what his deal was, being a good Christian doesn't mean being a pacifist, Jesus was far from a pacifist. "If you have no sword, sell your cloak and buy one" was said by him, and he drove the money changers out of the temple with violence. The Bible says that lethal defense of self and others is OK. It is OK to pick up a weapon and fight for a good cause.
@@jordanhicks5131 right, David was the man after God's own heart but also he was Israel's GREATEST king and warrior
4:27 how come nobody realized the ode to Mr. Tyler Durden? YARNHUB this is a best Easter egg I've ever seen in a You Tube video. #fightclub
What amazing heroic stories.... Beautiful narration, animation and amazing slowmo shots.... Just awesome❤❤❤❤... Thanks yarnhub
Паглядзела да канца. Вельмі спадабалася! Дзякую!
Thank you for these stories. I love the live stream. It's like a history Channel stream but better. 😂
Early animations werent bad perse, they were in development for me. Plue i loved seeing it evolve
Agree and seeing the animation improve shows Yarnhub has stepped up a notch
Hi mr. yarnhub I love you and your teams work. It is so high quality now, that I genuinely have a hard time deciding if it’s from animation or the real world. I remember when it was a 2d cartoon. It has evolved so very much. Well done! These videos are criminally underrated
thank you YARNHUB i am sad you don't have 1000000 subs plus your old animation was great pls do a story on rodger young
Спасибо за рассказ о героях Середе и Литвяк!
These are the only old animated documentary I've like so far great work👍👍
I love your Content no biased opinions or conspiracy theories or crapping on anyone's beliefs just stories of amazing humans and amazing events god bless you
-USMC 2015-2019
Made it to the end and I just wanna say this is amazing to watch when chilling and wanting some action. Thanks for making this!
Definitely made it all the way to "Come out fighting!"
You have great storytelling. Keep up the fascinating stories.
I love how it is the most realistic animation you’ve ever seen and then you just see a cartoon cat out of nowhere. 😂
it's not the animation we are here for we are here for. We are here for the story and the way the story is told (Great Work)
Yarnhub purposefully forgot Michael Wittman and Erich Hartmann
Why?
@@ShortKing678 Perhaps they were more heroic than their American counterparts....
Yarnhub featured both of those men in an earlier video titled:
“8 epic stories from the axis side”
@@LilyFisher4 But this video is titled WW2 heroes. Seems like Michael Wittman and Erich Hartmann weren't in it. Anyway, it wouldn't look good for any regular history reader if there would be more axis than allied heroes in it.
Desmond Doss is probably the MOST GLORIOUSLY EPIC SOLDIER EVER TO GRACE A BATTLEFIELD
Phenomenal video as always, I had previously seen only some of the videos in this compilation but enjoyed every one!
This was bad ass. 🤔 We should do this more often. 🇺🇸🤝🇬🇧
I just finally got the fight club reference lol good one. Right in the ear.
I love your character animations and stories that’s what got me watching you 😊❤
people complaining about old animations style seems really weird to me. i am envious of the amazing assets you guys get to work with
Watched the entire video. My father and his two brothers were in the service in WW2. My uncle landed at Normandy, was in the Battle of the Bulge. My father served three and a half years on a destroyer in combat scenarios. Got it? They were all honorably discharged.
this a pretty good channel. they dont beg for likes and subs instead incorporate them wisely into the videos that doesnt annoy the heck of ppl or at least myself. good job. keep it up.
I was honored to watch Bob Hoover airplane demonstration with landing on one wheel with stalled engine, etc.. he was an incredible flier!
Amazing stories!! Some I knew,some I didn't,but I always enjoy your Videos!
Man, Stanley was a Rambo☠️
As a Brit, you've got to do a series on the Falklands. The black buck raid, SAS back to their roots as airplane/airport destructors, the Paras and the Marine rivalry. The sinking of the Belgrano. First use in combat of the harrier. Such a short war but so many stories to come out of it.
Man, consider these are people who were in the grand grand father era.... they were so bad ass back then!
this channel deserves way more than a few hundred subs
Благодарю за то, что помните!
dude animation is SOOOO GOOD❤
I love your videos
I love that people said your animations are bad when their attempt probably look like that dinosaur game that jumps over cactus when you have no signal.
Best animation documentary ever! Keep up the great work!
Thanks so much for your content. You definitely deserve more subscribers!
Oof made it to the end... again. Thank you for what you do, seeing and knowing these are real people in the shit is great! Some stories, for what ever reason, jearks a tear at times... thank you again for the stories, as I share them from time to time. medick, ghost, escort, bullet note, bear joytek..... just great
Thx for all that you teach me in your vids
I thought jimmie was gonna make it... god damn brave man.
I grew up as an SDA and remember reading stories about Doss and his bravery
Can’t believe they didn’t include Americas most decorated war hero, Audie Murphy. 😔
everyone probably knows about him so there's no point
@@blokis6025 that’s the thing. Most of the time when I ask someone if They know who Audie Murphy is, they say no
@@blokis6025People like us with even the slightest knowledge of military history will know of Murphy; The general public or uninformed people, not so much. My good buddy from H.S. Is a Ranger, short like Audie was, and I believe he won an award named after Audie Murphy. He's been competing in Army fitness comps for years now and usually dominates on whatever teams he's with.... sadly we're not the young bucks we once were, and at 35 I believe he's done with that now. We were troubled kids in H.S. Back in the early 2000s but he had always been a disciplined boxer and an all around tough mthrfkr. I'd feel bad for anyone who had to face him in combat, especially hand to hand combat. Seeing his mother murdered in front of him at a young age hardened my boy like no other person I've ever met. Love the guy and glad he's on my side fighting for the U.S. I got a picture of him right after he got tabbed up.
Edit: I just looked up his patch under his ranger tab and he's part of the Army's 4th infantry division out of Fort. Carson I believe. The patch has four green ivy leaves on it with a little circle in the middle and lines connecting all fours leaves ( one on each corner of the diamond shaped patch) to the little circle in the middle. I didn't realize how decorated the 4th ID was until. landing on Omaha beach on D-day and even fighting with both the French and British in ww1.... being the only U.S. division to fight in both sectors. The Roman numeral four being IV is how they got their unofficial name " the Ivy." Sorry for the tangent but I couldn't be more proud of my friend. From where we were to where he's s at now is just an amazing feat that he should always be proud of. "Steadfast and loyal." The 4th IDs Motto.
and Daniel Inouye...
You also missed Charles Upham. But he only won two VC's, not really a hero then.
4:27 that Fight Club reference is incredible
The old video animations were charming, humble beginnings.
the movie for desmond doss is called hacksaw ridge.
I love the chef story
8 hours is a lot of time i need to pray first than i will return to watching and see what happens
Thank you yarnhub for making these videos i absolutely love them and you made me pass my Quiz of 8th grade 😁😁😁
I read Hoover's book. He was an incredible pilot. However, at this dogfight he was unble to actually drop his "drop tanks - thus inhibiting maneuverability.
Who tf thinks your early animations are bad?💀 their amazing and it shows just how fat you guys have come 😤, great work guys we love you
4:28 this fight club joke is amazing 😂
What I sort of love about Yarnhub's videos is that they never explicitly say someone died. "He turned to look at his friend and his body was limp". I sort of like that.
Obrigado pelo seu excelente trabalho! Todo sucesso para vocês, compartilhando e curtindo, vocês merecem muito mais!
I love seeing the cat in every animation! It looks out of place but it also fits if that makes sense
Огромное спасибо вам за ваши видео! И не слушайте плохие комментарии, ваши анимации отличные! Честно говоря мне интересно узнать как вы их делаете! :)
I wonder if it was more scary to land at the beach , or to defend one of those hills .
Bro desmond doss is a great freaking soldier bro
17:45 I just realized this, but he probably hammered the barrel with the hammer (flat) side of the axe, not with the cutting edge.
I'm sensing reruns. Compile old videos...like NBCs ridiculous "if you haven't seen it, its new to you!"
I learned more history here then I do in school
lol, a card on a guys head said jar jar binks, PLEASE MORE STAR WARS REFERENCES
Another great compilation!
You guys make great content! And I love when y’all stitch in movie scenes like Predator and Fight Club!
I think that yall have a great presentation keep it up
Credit to anyone putting their time into history. It's amazing how those who do nothing complain. I beg you, keep up the amazing work . Great job all who contributed.
i learn alot of ww2 history from this channel alone. i'd love to see you make a video of LT. Adnan at how he bravely fought the Japanese in Singapore in Bukit Chandu.
I can hear Harry Truman's squeaky voice during the prolonged handshake with Desmond Doss; "This is a greater honor to me than being President."
On the third one you can find a movie that he’s talking about and it’s called hacksaw Ridge
ww2 was violent and unforgettable thx 4 making this so everyone never forgets
Leo major is the definition of a Canadian when it comes to fighting he was ruthless but he still was polite to the officer and his captive like all Canadian should be and from the way he is animated it looks like he is a lefty and as a unbiased lefty Canadian I can say the Leo major is pretty cool
I don’t give a damn what anyone says, this animation style will always live in my heart
Great video. Just a small correction for the last story of Warren Crecy. It's not in Normandy but in Moselle, in the East of France.
The "critics" can piss off. What you were doing was far more important than the graphics. My father fought in WWII. So anyone who keeps history alive is performing a wonderful service in my opinion.
I love your animations thank you so much
Awe and inspired as I’m captivatedly entertained to the Nth degree by the story telling, music, camerawork- the whole production #cant eat applauses
Thank you for all these unique and fascinating war stories and for the graphics which are great. If critics want better let them help pay for it then.
These vidoes are fire
youre videos are so cool bc i really like the war history i love youre vids!!!!
Desmond Doss my favorite
34:03 Omar Bradley lived right across from where I grew up it’s in Clark MO
HOLY SHIT THEY INVENTED SEMI-AUTO MOSIN'S?!?!?!?
Dang they should make these into movies
I love the old and new animations
Great video yarnhub
I made it all the way
