11:00 I would expect the Superman/Olsen book to be MUCH harder book to find.
Yeah, Darkseid is a lot more uncommon. I think there's plenty of raw War Machine 9.8's floating around that can be purchased at good value points.
Living Dead Comics looks like a really cool store. Cool staff and nice prices.
That ASM 238 @3:29 for only $50? Even if it's missing the tattooz, I would be all over it.
Thrilled to find your channel. We love the thrill of the hunt as well!
Any store that sells a complete comicbook set of a series has my approval.
Coliseum prices are absolute traaaash. I really do hope you're making some money off these, just because something is a variant or has a nice cover art doesn't mean there's going to be any immediate demand. Miscellaneous variants may sell eventually but if it's not hot you'll be sitting on them a while. At least its fun to rummage
that florida mall comics store has more funko pop collection then comics. the millennia coliseum of comics got a lot of good comic keys just gotta spend a good amount of time in there.
Depending on how far away it is, try famous faces and funnies in Melbourne, they have a ton of stuff. Or Emerald City comics over in St Pete.
Thanks for the recommendation!
in my country those shops look like a dream...
the coliseum in millenia has the worst prices of any comic store ive ever been to. they overcharge on every wall book, assuming bc the area is very rich with the mall of millenia, but that location has terrible prices compared to their other stores
Whenever I see those classic Ron Frenz Amazing Spider-Man covers I get happy!
Will have to check these stores out for sure, thanks for the video tours!
Great video as always! Sara and Angelo, you guys have too much fun! Lol
Thank you so much! 🥰😁
0:12 Mikes comics and 1:51 the Colosseum of comics, I was there a few months ago, next time I go to Orlando I’ll have to spot in there again. I’ve mainly been getting sketch covers to make my own covers, and but hopefully I can find some key issues.
i just picked up the G.I. Joe comic at my LCS for $8!! total steal
Sweet grab!
Y’all gotta come check out Miami here!!!! Awesome video I legit was there vicariously with you guys while eating lunch … lovin’ it‼️🤣🤙🏽
Thank you so much!
Mikes collectibles was really nice, lots of statues though with is fine, colesium is probably my favorite just for the customer service and the very nice layout they have, plus they do community events pretty often and living dead is usually regarded as the best store for books
It’s pretty cool that I’ve been to all these
Great video guys!
Wish we had Lcs’s in England like that 😩
Would have got the Jimmy Olsen 👌🏼
Great pick ups…
Awesome video! So many cool books! Great pickups!
Thanks so much!
Hi Sarangelo,Superb video so Many Cool but Remarkable Comic Books, also The Three Comic Book Stores in Florida:1.Mike's Comics & Collectibles (Powell, Tennessee,2.Coliseum Of Comics Lakeland, Florida and 3.Living Dead Comics Orlando,Flordia are all awesome, also Remarkable Pickups, also thank you for sharing Sarangelo keep up the great work guys stay safe out there and have a nice day.🙂👍💪🇺🇸🦸
Darkseid I'd would have picked... love the master of apocalypse
Great picks on comics.. nice video!!
Thank you!
Great video thanks very much very enjoyable
Thank you!
Love this channel so much
Great content great videos thank you.
That last shop is great! You need to Do a video where u buy a big key!
The store you want is in Gainesville, Florida. It's a small shop but they have golden age comics. Also tons of Marvel silver and Bronze. There prices are below retail, keys, higher grades. They 1990s and most modern crap in dollar bins. Comicfest is at the Ocala Paddock Mall on August 13th.
Thanks for the tip! We will definitely try to make the con on the 13th.
Nice DC selections
What I LOVE about you two- and PLEASE don't take this as me being patronizing- but both of you are young (I'm 55; if I had to guess to win a contest I'd say you guys are late 20s/early 30s)---- yet you freaking GET IT. Now look, please don't think I'm saying "All Millenials are stupid!" or any nonsense like that; rather, I'm merely highlighting the fact that you two in particular REALLY see the beauty of older (meaning: from the utterly different world that existed decades before you were born) books, as not everyone your age does. SOME do- sure- but a lot couldn't care less.
Of course my saying that would be the equivalent of you saying to me "Ok, so you were born in 1967; do you 'get' the beauty of the Golden Age comics that came into existence 30 years before YOU were born?"-- to which of course I'd have to say to you "Ok, touché." But the only difference would be that when I was a kid there was almost nothing BUT comics (at least for US types LOL); I mean, it was basically comics and/or D & D- STOP- whereas you two have grown up in the short attention span/smartphone/"everything-good-is-new"/"everything-bad-is-old"- era.
Again- look- I'm EXAGGERATING-- my only point is that to be fair it is not wrong to say that there are a LOT more things grabbing at your mind space today compared to when I was your AGE! Understand: when I was in my early-30s it was 2002 for God's sake: the internet was in its infancy (and was low-speed dial-up) and the first iPhone was 6 YEARS AWAY!!! So yeah- sorry- but it was literally a DIFFERENT WORLD.
My point is that I just want you both to know how much I super appreciate this channel- and how friggin' awesome and beautiful you guys are- and how much I love- and look forward to- the content you put out.
BOTH OF YOU FUCKING ROCK!
THANK YOU SO MUCH❗❤
The spiderman comics are nice...no fading, bright colors!
Even according to a few months ago’s standards, those keys are so overpriced at the second store.
08:01 IM #99 was the first Iron Man for me, still like that suit the best.
I go to Mike's for Hot Toys all the time!!!
appreciate that you love comics sooo much, without any pretension…keep it up.
love watching your journey…
maybe in the future some love for charlton, gold key, and dell?
thank u
Thank you so much! We will definitely keep an eye out for some in our next adventure .🥰😁
Pretense is the word you were looking for not pretension
Yep Im subbing I can watch this allday
Thanks! 😊 New content every Friday.
Another video I really enjoyed a lot! Thank you for posting. The first shop needs to stop calling themselves a "comic" shop and need to change to a "statue" listing. The statues dominate the entire store. Coliseum of Comics is heavily overpriced, but some books you can land at a great value. That Millennia Mall location you all visited has a great variety and the store manager is awesome. I landed about a dozen books from the wall and the bin that graded 9.8 from CGC when submitted, without pressing, from purchases this past Christmas. Living Dead is awesome and the owner from your other video is really funny. The store seems a little tight, but their variety and knowledge of books is on the level. Hope to eventually meet you all soon when I drive down from Tallahassee for a comic meet.
I went to that Coliseum of comics and another location last time I was in Orlando. Bought some big books. A couple I did not inspect. Wish I had. One cover was detached, the other had tear on back cover. They have a nice selection of keys and silver stuff, but I found it overpriced and didn’t like finding that damage after the purchase.
Also, y’all braved the OBT?
I have an ASM 238 I'm about to send out to Spineworks. Thanks for the recommendation in one of your previous videos BTW. I've already sent off an ASM 252 and Secret Wars 8 for them to press and clean before CGC grades them.
That's awesome! Hopefully you get some really good grades back. Your books are in good hands.
@@TheComicsDen Barfinds/Yardsales have been straight gold for me. Drop jaw to find early editions in mint many times!
Great books
👍
I can’t tell you which one had the best prices I did enjoy the tour of the different places though
2cnd spot great prices!
3:33 Hmm, the Amazing Spider-man #189 was the first comic I ever owned. I made my mom buy it for me in 1979. :)
That's awesome! It's great you can remender your 1st book ever.
@@TheComicsDen I can remember most of the first books I read of each title, the first stories.
@@TheComicsDen The interesting thing about ASM #189 is that it was part of a short run penciled by John Byrne before he did the art for Iron Fist and Uncanny X-Men. The inks on ASM #189 are by Bob McLeod, who would later do the art for the original New Mutants.
Def the Darkseid, harder to find.
Coliseum is asking CGC 9.8 prices for probably not 9.8 raw comics
Great video I really like the second store
Thank you.
Florida is prime for comic book hunting. I got my first comic there that sparked my love for collecting. I’m in upstate NY not the best place for collecting in my experience.
the prices on those books at about 4:20 are so funny. $75 for a secret wars #3 thats going $150 in 9.8 and $50 in 9.6 on ebay. they want $25 over a 9.6 for a raw copy.
Ugh, them wolverines mini series looks amazing I got two more issues to hunt!!!
SICK!
I've been to Mike's several times. Acme is the best though.
All these modern variant covers remind me of the 90’s chromium ones and we know how all that turned out haha.
Nice video
War Machine!!
Living Dead had some bangers for sure
I would have left the store with the 1st kang app
Get those Batman slabs
They were awesome!
I would of gone with the superman just because jack king was the artist historically better.
She hulk can collect dust. Swampy all day.
Next time your looking at Miami LCS go to Metropolis comics in Homestead they got great books there
Thanks for the recommendation!
at 3:41 Secret wars #1 for $100 ???? IMO, maybe a $40 book
I would've gone with the Jimmy Olsen book, but you were wearing the War Machine shirt, so you had to stay true to your gear.
😂👍
Hi guys! Is Carlos from Brasil! Angelo! You look a little like Stallone mam! When he was young!!! ✌🤘
Did you end up with asm 23 ? I liked that one
We already have one so we passed. It was a great copy though.
Back issues of Spider-Man are becoming pricey
Nah tons of back issues from the 80s 90s and 2000s 2010s are still cover price
@@Davidweedlove He said "Back issues," not "shit issues."
😁😁😁
id take war machine
I've been collecting Golden and Silver (and even some Bronze) at antique stores and have found some steals. However, I cannot bring myself to pay that much for a key comic which is marked up at some comic book store
@@outlawtupac EC? And if I did they aren't for sale sorry.
i would have gotten the super man comic
Do y’all live in Florida? My friend and his wife are moving their lcs to Sarasota this week. Bat city comic professionals.
Oh wow thats awesome! We do live in FL. we will definitely try to check it out. Thanks for letting us know 👍
Living dead comics have great comic selection, but priced a little too high in my opinion
Man it’s sad. I used to have a lot of those older comics and mom and dad like 40 years ago made me sale them. To think I could probably be a millionaire with all the comics I had. And no I’m not joking
Does living dead accept card?
Comic Book Stores are Too High! Unless you are looking for a Key Issue and willing to Spend $50 - $100 for one Comic. Best Buy is Flea Market and Yard Sales. And Buying in Bulk with Pallet! 💰💰💰
Comic book stores are too high ?
No you expect to go to a flee market and pay a $1 for a $200 book
People are trying to sell 3000 comics for $5000 for run filler.
@@ho9439 Yes... 🙂😃😁
Great Channel but Coliseum of Comics is overpriced
Ops! I said "MAN" no "MAM"!!! Excuse me please!!!
Who hunts keys at a comic book store lol 😂 unless you gonna out it on your pc then for flip lol 😂 that’s just crazy
Darkside
Yes most of these books are over priced
O.B.T.? 🤦🏻🤔
Nice video
Thank you!
