The story was told in the comics back in the mid-90s.

It was at the end of the fatal attractions storyline.
And don't be surprised if they introduce a new villain called Onslaught.

This is literally a season worthy of standing next to something like Batman: the Animated Series. Genuinely, for me, this is just about on that same level of “we love these characters to death, and we want to show you why.” It’s got the *guts* to do something like this and that’s why it’s maybe my favorite Marvel project ever

I just don't understand, why are they fighting magneto?! He's the ONLY one keeping the sentinel's from killing EVERYONE. Why didn't they join forces to kill bastion.... THEN he would release the Earth's magnetic field and the world would be back to normal.
