I love the musicality of Taras covers, but I also appreciate an honest opinion from an expert, many people just say whatever the audience want to hear and they aren't truly sincere. Great reaction.
People will prefer listening beatbox with effects , since its easier to understand and feel less dry.
I think the song has a lot to do with it too since its a really catchy and popular song but the beatbox variant gave it a really nice touch!
Also the fact that he can do this live and for it to sound just as good is amazing!

Taras managed to make beatboxing an instrument of music for a song, this is a different way, which is why he is becoming a new star among billions
I can understand your Emotion, when I first watched these videos I had a similar reaction, I was not very enjoyed the first time I listened to them. But after that I re-watched this video several times and each time I liked it more and more. I understand that this is not the beatbox we are used to, but I think it is good that Taras attracts a non-beatboxing audience to our world. Also about Taras, in fact, he sounds great live without effects, he is very powerful and has good vocals, so he can perform these songs very close to how they are in the videos. I guess I prefer a more natural mix, like Hiss for example. But everyone does what they feel. In any case, I am glad that Taras got his attention, he has been beatboxing and performe since 2011 and has always worked very hard

I feel dumb for defending him when it's true, I'm no expert but I just watch his streams and listen to how he says he does it.
Taras performs it and then afterwards adds the reverb, delays etc.. in post production. He does actually beatbox and sing. He's just adding elements to make the song fuller and richer than it already is. You can watch him do all his songs on live streams without any effects and he still sounds amazing.
Taras is trying to make beatboxing more appealing for non beatboxers. He's trying to show that beatboxing can be and IS music. He's not doing anything different than any mainstream musician is doing!! I admire the hell out of what he's trying to accomplish and is accomplishing, especially when he gets backlash for it. I don't know, I'm a huge fan of Taras and absolutely love and respect what he's doing.
And he is succeeding at all he does. I think he is a humble guy that has major talent and has been overlooked for years. I've watched him do this too on his stream. It's something that comes naturally to him. Until I can make music just using my mouth, I have nothing negative to say. I think this guy's amazing. He is no dummy. He plots every move he makes. I've also seen him doing live streams looking totally exhausted. He works hard. He's a force that can and has changed this genre of music. It's a vibe. Please don't kill my vibe.
You have to understand that there are two schools of thought when it comes to Tarsus' viral videos. One point of view is the mass listener, and the other is the vision of the beatbox community. If you are not interested in how the beatbox community evaluates Taras’ abilities, just don’t watch these videos. Watch the reactions of people who don’t understand anything about beatboxing and you most likely won’t hear any criticism.
Alem the reason this videos is super popular because of two things, 1) the song choice, it's super popular artist, and 2) the atmosphere he creates, the reverb and delay creates a vibe that's liked more by the non beatbox community

Think about it, bbox is not a tool to create unrealistic sound with your mouth on competition, it's a tool to create real music for regular listeners

there’s also shorts of him doing parts of these songs acoustically and live. I don’t think it’s a question of talent that Taras can do the beatboxing of this effectively, but of course it won’t sound like this. I think this is for a different audience than the “beatbox battle community” and that’s ok, and it’s also ok to not feel like it fits within the spirit of the community. Taras would also probably agree. It’s fun to see what can be done with beatbox and how people can enjoy it

I will say Alem, you come at this from a "technical" perspective. Sure, being able to make a lot of different noises in quick succession is impressive, but a lot of people prefer musicality. We like to hear something that sounds like an actual song, that you could hear on the radio and enjoy. A string of clicks and beats might be impressive to other beatboxers, but to a lot of the general public, it just sounds like a bunch of noises 🤷♀️ I think Taras is trying to appeal to a different audience than the beatbox battlers. It's just different.
@@denisfisherman5280 Yh true, you also have to know how to use your anatomy to beatbox well before your are going to sound good with post production. Unless you go crazy with it I guess. Not the best analogy I know, it just gives more freedom to create more interesting and creative stuff is what I mean, with the instrument which is the persons anatomy in the case of a beatboxer.
the most important thing is that people enjoy what Taras creates.People want to see and listen this kind of beatbox. This is another level when you make music that is pleasant to many. You can make super technical sounds, like in competitions, but they won’t be interesting to others. People like what Taras creates, and it will bring him very good income.

Watch one of his live streams and then you can comment because he does it all on the fly. There's nothing fake about him it doesn't matter about the reverb there are artists out there that use a whole lot more than reverb.
Alem can comment whenever he wants. He's been beatboxing longer anyway. He just has a different opinion.

Alem, First off, I love your content and reactions and your beatboxing is phenomenal. I'm very new to beatboxing and love the whole scene. I understand why you don't prefer the heavy mix beatboxing songs but, Taras is the only beatboxer when I show my friends or family they actually perk up and and listen instead of kinda shrug off other performances... which is insane to me. I think people like that they can listen to a beatbox song and it doesn't have to sound like a more complicated acappella version of a song. I'm enjoying my new found genre of music from all the artists and while Taras might not be conventional, he's bringing a lot of eyes to beatboxing and that's an overall win for the community as a whole. You guys should be way bigger than you are because of the incredible talent.
It seems to me that this was done more in the musical direction, because this is a cover and all these effects in order to bring beatboxing closer to the original song and maybe show beatboxing from the other side. Try to look GBB23: circle jam , Taras is there too and you can look at him and his skills differently

I do personally prefer less reverb, but he does have lots of good live performances as well. And it is well done in terms of his integrating his singing and musical choices. It may seem “easy” to do some of the techniques, but it’s a lot trickier to make something good enough that it catches on with so many people.
Taras is a musical genius!! He has a beautiful singing voice!! He makes his music not for beatboxers but for everyone! Every single song put out has some kind of enhancements! They way he combines his singing with his beatboxing, well again, he is a genius!! The detail he puts into his music is increditable!! If you watch a live steam you can hear him do these songs raw and they sound just as good. Thank for your reaction and honestly, but I respectfully disagree.
his gbb wildcard is the variant with less reverb if you wanna hear something more natural, but the thing is that people especially non beatboxers like something closer to produced music, is somehting a lot of people can listen in their free time like music, a very good example is Improver and Taras ZHU Faded, you can listen that in in the car or when you go to work, in the every day life, i can t wait for d low to release his album
Thank you for reacting to his video, this is definitely one of the most amazing boxers out there. This video has so many views because it’s more than beatboxing, it’s MUSIC done in a different way than what people used to. But he does this song and others on Livestream, and he sounds just as good, the reverb, etc. just adds an extra touch the same way that other musicians who record and perform on stage uses. So yes, when he’s doing this without anything else, just sitting in front of his computer on a live stream, it sounds just as good. Another notable thing, is that he has a very wide range as far as his singing voice, and his voice is really that low, so when he adds base to that already natural baritone then it comes out the way it does. It’s a lot more complicated than you think it is, and there’s a lot more that goes into it than you know. People are looking for music to listen to at home, in their car, wherever aren’t looking for something that doesn’t sound like music, but those of us who are his fans who have watched his live streams many many times know what he’s capable of, and this minimal affects that he use is simply for purpose, more like the cherry on top of an already perfect desert. It doesn’t make the song or the composition better, it just adds to what already is perfect.
No one would buy any music track that was void of everything except the singer‘s voice. This is what people are failing to understand, this just isn’t beatbox the way people are used to hearing it. As he has said on live stream with. Anthony Ray and Eshplume His goal is to make beatboxing for everyone, and traditional boxers, make beatboxing for other boxers. That’s not a bad thing, it’s just the truth. The views that he got is because he drew in people, some of which have never ever experienced beatboxing, and some who never really cared about beatboxing and didn’t like it, and he’s drawing in people of all ages because this is music, it’s something different, and it’s something next level as far as beatboxing and music. And you’re right not everybody likes the same stuff, but it’s been really interesting to see how many men and women have the same emotional reaction, sometimes very strong emotional reaction to his music/beatboxing. When you have a grown man say that he has goosebumps from listening to this music, you know you’ve touched on something big. again, very few people are gonna be driving around playing your average beatboxing through their car stereo and jamming down to it, but there are already people who are playing his music just to enjoy it as music. Again, it’s not just beatboxing, it’s music. And again, not to repeat myself, but you would have a completely different take if you heard him do this live.

Сейчас бы людям недавно узнавшим о битбоксе благодаря вирусным роликам Тараса рассуждать о проблеме битбокса и битбоксеров) Проблема битбоксеров это вы, те самые новички которые ничего не смыслите в жанре, но уже упорно пытаетесь что-то доказывать и спорить с такими легендами как Алем. Критика состоит в том что эти вирусные видео от Тараса это оверпродюсированная поп музыка в элементами битбокса. Звучит ли это хорошо? Возможно. Если убрать эффекты, технически с точки зрения битбокса впечатляет ли это? Нет. Для вас битбокс это продукт, для комьюнити битбокс это культура. В этом разница восприятия. А Алем один из тех кто создавал эту культуру. Вы преждем чем спорить с легендой погуглили бы для начала что такое мастеринг. Я конечно понимаю, что хочется использовать умные слова, но хорошо бы еще понимать их значение чтобы не выглядеть глупо.

Alem, the views are not for the beatbox complexaty, but his voice, he his one of the best singers on beatbox(if not the best), and combine that with beatbox and reverb, make people put this on their playlist, and that way catch a lot of views. (With Den was almost the same thing)

I think your view is fair: Even though this is a beatbox video, is not *really* made for beatboxers (Otherwise he'd use many more interesting beats and combinations and such) but made for a really wide audience that likes popular music. Like if you try to think as someone who's never listened to beatbox or knows anything about music production your reaction is 'Wow, how is he doing that it sounds kinda like the song, quite a bit in fact!'
But to beatboxers and fans of beatbox is like showing a simple card trick to a magician: we go 'Yeah that's cool I guess' but average person is 😱😱🤯🤯

Алем в отличие от вас уже давно знает кто такой Тарас и как он звучит вживую, уж поверьте. Мы в битбокс-чатах и форумах вместе сидели еще лет 13 назад если не раньше. Алем лишь говорит о том, что с точки зрения битбокса в этих видео Тарас не показывает ничего впечатляющего и это так. Причем тут какие-то сомнения.

With a lot of reverb and effects it start to sound exactly like a song
the reverb fills the gabs and can make short sounds sound bigger. but the reverb is automated and I think the use of it has a big artistic approach. also, the music iseld has a lot soul in it.
That's all he uses. Is reverb. He does all his own editing. There's nothing fake about him with no microphone it's all him.

I think it’s hilarious that Alem can’t comprehend why people like Taras’s covers even though they’re not complicated XD
In simple terms, Taras uses reverb to enhance his vocals and beats to a real musical production standpoint. Like popular pop music you hear on the radio. Especially these 2 songs that he covered. If you listen to the real song and listen to his beatbox after then maybe you’ll appreciate it just a little bit more lol.
It’s nice to hear your honest thoughts about it though! When I first heard it I thought it was so cool and refreshing how Taras tries to imitate the real song with his beatboxing using his skills in audio production/mixing.

lol, I've been Rock Climbing for 25 years. There's a modern style to the climbing competitions that integrates a lot of parkour style with jumps.
I think I understand your point of view. The purist climber in me doesn't appreciate this style versus the old school climbing. It definitely fun to watch though so... 🙂

The thing is he can sing pretty good too, and he make usage out of it. And look at popular Music, it's mostly simple music. And he is using this fact to generate some reach. I saw a lot of stuff of him, he can do real "beatboxer satisfying" stuff too. And usually people who aren't into beatbox don't care about beatboxers talent. This is for the casual audience. I get your point, it's like the real hip hop and mainstream hip hop thing. But you just should enjoy the production and be greatful people making beatboxing more popular again. And there are life-raw versions too and of course they dont sound that great but he can do all of it in one bit.

Давайте начнем с того что Алем действительно чемпион Франции. Учитесь пользоваться гуглом. Я уже не говорю о том, что он чемпион мира и чемпион GBB. Алем без преувеличения легенда в битбокс комьюнити. Какие достижение у Тараса на мировой арене?) Ему приходится самого себя провозглашать в 3 раз чемпионом чемпионата которого не было) Так что если быть точным он все-таки 2x чемпион России (2013 и 2018). Какая разница сколько млн человек в России если уровень битбокса в целом и битбокс чемпионат на порядок слабее чем во Франции? Знаете сколько французов побеждали в разных категориях GBB за все время? 11. Это больше чем любая другая страна. А сколько представители России? Всего один раз это сделал дуэт Mad Twinz. В соло русские не побеждали еще никогда (последние два чемпиона GBB как раз французы).
C битбоксом все прекрасно. Никому такая популярность не нужна, потому что массы потекли весьма дурно пахнущего содержания. Тарас ничего нового в битбокс не привнес, продюссированные треки делаются уже очень давно. Вокальные битбокс каверы делаются уже очень давно. Он просто выстрелил в тик-токе/ютубе и привел слушателей поп-музыки с большим количеством постобработки, которые по прежнему терпеть не могут битбокс. Тарас популяризировал исключительно себя, а не битбокс. Уже много лет каждый год огромное количество соревнований и выступлений по всему миру. Да, жанр, нишевый, как и многие другие жанры музыки типа дез метала. Тарас ничего не выводил из тени, он привел огромное количество левой тик-ток и ютуб аудитории, которая никогда не интересовались и никогда не будет интересоваться настоящим битбоксом. Это люди которым нравися поп-музыка с большим количеством постобработки, и им понравилось вплетение битбокса. Кто-то вплетает в поп-музыку экстрим вокал или тяжелые гитары, и другие элементы тяжелой музыки. Но это не значит что мы должны взять и превратить все нишевые жанры в попсу чтобы угодить массовому слушателю. К счастью эта левая аудитория как пришла так скоро и уйдет, любой интернет хайп быстро проходит. Слушайте то что вам нравится и не лезьте в чужую культуру. Если у кого-то другие интересы это не значит, что все надо переделать под ваш вкус. Это очень примитивное мышление.

See,alem and many other Beatboxers wants that original sounds when Beatboxing as they are professionals and the videos with edits and productions the sounds become more synthetic and artificial which i personally dont like too, but for non beatboxers its not much of a deal breaker as they are most likely to like it even with sound edits...... Not a bad thing thou everyone has different opinions and perspective and as a beatboxer i fully understand alem critic's...
This is a production version made for ordinary people. You can do whatever you want in it. For pure beatboxing there are GBB and other competitions.
If you don't like the production versions, don't watch them. They do not affect Alem in any way and interfere with his life.

Hi Alem! I'm not french but the word you wanted to say is "dry" I think you said "sec" if I'm not mistaken. Anyways I thing that it's not only the amount of reverb that is too much, it's also the quality of that reverb that is rubbish, and as you mentioned that's not one take, he surely did multiple recordings. Performing like that it won't be good for him as when is going to perform it live it's going to sound really bad and empty. We know that popular is not synonym of good quality, to me, most of the best music ever made is not popular. Keep up the good work and keep it dry!! 🙌🙌

J'aime bien quand c'est 'au moins' 70% beatbox et 30% effets. La première fois que j'ai entendu "I don't wanna know", j'ai été surprise et je me suis dit que c'était une bonne idée d'ajouter de la reverb au beatbox, parce que ça sonnait bien et unique. Mais ensuite, la production a changé et c'est devenu 20% beatbox et 80% effets. Et c'est devenu un peu ennuyeux... Mais je dis pas que c'est mauvais hein, c'est juste que je pense qu'écouter une seule vidéo de ce genre serait suffisant.

For me its sounds cool but its not Beatboxing and ill just really dont like the point that he standing there with his SM7B and edit the shit out of the track afterwards and he is acting like he does it live .Seen so many non Beatboxer react to this thinking he can do this sounds all by his own.
