I bet Bojji will help Ouken regain his sanity and also that Daida will keep Bosse's power in his body and then Bojji will have the strongest army to challenge the Gods under his crown.
Bosse is a man who is guilt-ridden to a fault. He killed Miranjo's father (in a fair battle to be sure) when he was "young and wild", but then Miranjo's mother saved him. So he hung around to protect them, but he wasn't there when mom was murdered and Miranjo was mutilated. Then he went mad and slaughtered the village, including the innocents. Bosse feels he owes Miranjo more than his own life, he feels he wronged her in ways that can never be repaid; thus he can never reject or say to no to her.
Yes, it's not about LOVE, Bosse never defined her as a lover when bebin asked who is Miranjo to Bosse.

That demon has a kinda simplistic design, but is one of the most terrifying creatures I've seen in anime. And the fact that we don't understand the language he speaks made him more scary

The demon doesnât look that scary. It looks far too generic for an anime demon lol. Also helps that the art style makes the show have a more childish feel to it, despite being rated 13+
@@ComplexOri he doesn't look scary, but the way he acts and his size makes him absolutely scary, they way he appears after king bosse dies at his bed just pointing and then laughing with his deep a$$ voice and just disappear again. Was absolutely frightening.

I agree! It gave me literal chills. It kind of gave a little take on the author's perspective on hell and punishment. This anime looks like it's out of a children's book, (illustration wise) but goes way deeper. Definitely slept on by many.
@@shuhaymahhasan9659 Yeah, realistically no one deserves something like âHellâ. Most people live 70-80 years (give or take) which already feels like an extremely long time. Now imagine living forever, but also pair that with suffering. There's nothing you could do on your minuscule time on earth that would warrant infinite suffering.

Started this anime 2 days ago and caught up today, Bojji as an MC caught my heart right from ep 1, I feel fully connected with him as a character, the emotions following through him comes through me as well. This anime is by far the best within this Winter Season, perhaps even anime of the year, definitely a nominee though.

The storyboard this episode was immaculate

When Domas broke the gate to the underworld it was made of sewn up corpses of Kages clan. So Im gonna assume kage shadow pocket he keeps pulling stuff into has something to do with the underworld.

You missed the part with Desha, I think the "Ranking of Kings" System in that scene is very important. Because that Clown dude was kinda pissed at Desha for declining the first place. This Show is just starting I tell you

Studio Witt are goats, the animation this whole series has been amazing but this episode they popped off, the angles and perspectives they managed to get away with are ridiculous. Reminds me of levi vs beast titan, which funnily enough they also animated.
The director of this episode was inspired by the famous director that is known for his work on Naruto
The animation, storyboarding, soundtrack...EVERYTHING! WIT gave us a film-like qualities for this episode

The shot of Bosse walking Towards Miranjo was from the POV of the demon, you can see the shadow of his nose to the right, thats why it was an odd shot from under the furniture.
I like how king boss casualy activated his stand ability as if it was nothing
The Devil eating three souls constantly is a reference to Dante Alighieri's Nine Circles of Hell, where Satan eats the souls of judas, Brutus and Janus for all eternity as they are considered the worst sinners.
Bosseâs conflict after he was resurrected was an interesting case of someone trying to have their cake and eat it too.
Also I am pretty sure Bosseâs love for Miranjo was familial/platonic, not romantic, though Miranjoâs love for Bosse itâs exact nature/type is a little more ambiguous, but the bottom line was Miranjo desperately wanted to perpetuate Bosseâs lifespan (and her own too I guess) for as much a possible. Miranjo definitely knew the demon/devil thing as a kid though, that much is clear at least even if the details of her broken promise/betrayal to the demon/devil are still unclear.
I find it weird that people think Bosse x Miranjo is about love, when Bosse never defines her as a Lover when Bebin asked him.
Also I think Miranjo's promise to devil is a simple one, like "Not to leave him" or something.
The thing about their love though is that itâs understood that more than everything and everyone else they love each other the most. Bosse loves Miranjo more than he did any of his wives and even his children, and you can see that in how he explains his feelings about things. He found joy and happiness with his family but itâs only with Miranjo that he acknowledges affection and love.
It makes them so Shakespearean, or like The Notebook, how much they love and value one another.
I have a hard time accepting that Bosseâs love is purely platonic but I also canât fully call it romantic either. Itâs somewhere between there, and thatâs the same for Miranjo but she leans more to romance.
@@shanika4160 Bosse can still love Miranjo more than anyone else without it being romantic. There are plenty of parents who will easily state they love their children more than their romantic partner. And anyways no one type of love is inherently stronger/greater than another.
Considering that all the descriptors Bosse used for Miranjo and none of them were ones with romantic implications combined with the fact that Bosse knew Miranjo since she was child and was effectively her only parental unit/guardian after Miranjoâs mother was killed, I think trying to interpret Bosseâs feelings for Miranjo as romantic in any way is not only counter to the textâs themes but also creates some creepy implications in the realm of wife-husbandry, which while Bosse is a morally compromised character, he isnât framed to be morally compromised in that specific regard.
@@TheoVorster I get where youâre coming from but in my interpretation I feel like the love they share is something in between familial/platonic and romantic.
Edit: So upon seeing the newest episode I can agree with you more. From all the depictions up till Ep 21 i felt like it could be somewhere in between but seeing Bosseâs memories cements the familial love for me.

I love Wit studios for making this beautiful anime, I'm so heartbroken on the fact that many anime series they created are so underrated. I hope this opens up the possibility for people who don't know their other series will give them a shot because they have done great anime series.
Many people miss it, but it's beautiful how Domas was the first one to step up for Bojji.
The angle in the beginning, under the chair, was most likely the Devil's POV.

I don't know anything past the show, but I really think that the whole Ranking System is being used by the Gods to weed out the top kings. I also think Desha suspects this too, because he refuses to take the #1 even when this Ranking guy is tempting the shit out of him. I actually thought the Demon was going to be the primary antagonist but here we are probably getting ready to sympathize with HIM now, too. This show is INSANE.
I can't wait to see the japanese subs for this video, I found them casually and you guys have quite a good amount of japanese fans but might not understand well.
I like to think of the relationship of Bojji, Ouken and Bosse. kind of like rock,paper,scissors

I recommend you to watch Welcome to the Demon School Iruma-Kun.
It is a very good series but very underrated at the same time.

I love the detail in the Bojji vs Bosse fight where Bosse would literally just stop for a moment to be proud of his son and you could see it in his face every time.

in my opinion, bosse's 'true love' is miranjo and vice versa. that is why everything that they did, including for bosse to marry a giant, is actually for him and miranjo's sake. but further down the line, Bosse realize what he already had, a kingdom, loyal servant, a family. but miranjo still see him as the one she wants to be happy with not realizing that Bosse is already happy.

The Editor missed to add Prompts on the Fight scene in this episode it would have be really worth it and hilarious to watch.

its weird how Bosse wasnt moving fast but i guess hes used to his giant form. does that mean that if it was Daida and he had all of Bosse's strength Daida could move like super man because hes used to his weight?
Itâs probably more that Bosse wasnât moving fast _specifically_ in Bojjiâs perception. We saw how fast he could swing vs Ouken, and also saw that Bojji was fully restored from previous fight fatigue in the previous episode.
So far this is the best anime episode I've seen this year.
They got what they deserve miranjo and bosse heâs talkin like sheâs the only one thatâs suffered meanwhile bojji and both his moms been suffering for his choices too. And diada and domas and dorche

A lot of what Boose does for Miranjo is mostly brought on by the huge guilt he feels from everything she's been through. He Killed her dad, and wasn't there to protect her from being mutilated. Then he when on to live a happy life with a family, and neglected her. I also don't think Bosse knows what happened to Queen Shiina. Miranjo definitely did it behind his back, and when she mentions it in this episode, she's kinda talking to herself. Bosse never wanted to come back, or any of this to happen. He at least sees that Bojji is strong and has the support of the people, so he can finally move on to the afterlife and bring some peace to Miranjo (or so he thought). Bosse for sure has his issues, but ultimately cared about everyone in the end.
