It's really great that you show semi-budget stuff. If a kit is 25% of the price but gets you 75% of thr capability then that's a smart choice for most people.
Great video, thank you. Really like that unlike other channels, the ratio of building yet another "world-best-troopy" to actual usage. You go out and use the vehicles and having a great time - PLEASE keep doing that. It's out using the vehicles, that is the exciting part, that keeps me following as a viewer.
This is so much better then 4wd 24/7. Proper wheeling, done right, not faking, no BS… and not immature behaviour that will get us locked out
@@michaelbaylis1631 💯
Blah blah blah.
100% better than 4wd 24/7 well said & so true.
Idk if better is the word. Definitely good. But it’s different
@@justinkatipa9577 it’s better… way better. 4wd 24/7 and behaviour like it will kill the industry
Nice 200, troopys looking premo. Would love to see a 300 on modified soon
nice ... diesel LC200 and. a troopy wish we had these in the U.S.
How long before we see the great Torb's back on the videos?
The production values and cinematography are great and and all but I miss the old days of just getting out on an epic 5 parter and actually going 4WDing instead of 10 episodes of click bait and teasers
Yeah true
Haha, love how chuffed you were showing off the 'tyre shop'.
Great, authentic Ronny Dahl video. Out with Travis again too, how good is that. Love the Troopy, love the Wandoo, love Sean's kitchen, love those kebabs.
Lost a few of your words at the end Ronny, waiting for that Willie Wagtail to reappear from underneath. Yep, made it! What was that you were saying? :)
Another great vid Ronny!
It looks like that vehicle has come together very nicely.
I'm glad that you mentioned the creaking of the body when flexing.
I have noticed the same thing in my Troopy, I think it's the cabinets that are making most of the noise.
So good to see the Troopy finally getting out there.
Looking good! Can’t wait to see what happens on your trip!! 🤙
Fantastic test run, looking forward to a travel series with the troopy
Looks so good now, great job mate and a great trip 👍
Its good to see Travis again, its been a minute. The troopy is looking pretty sorted. Too bad we can't get them here (USA). Boo.
Nice one Ronny mate ,troopys looking well mate 🎉😊
THANK YOU FOR VIDEO
GREAT SETUP GOT THERE
WISH BEST FURTHER TRAVELING AROUND AUSTRALIA
Love driving that hill climb in the rain. Nice climb close to home
Miss Torbs and your live Q&A's and are you done with channel 7?
SWAT did the suspension on my 200... drives like an absolute dream!
Very nice 👍😊
Such a great episode. Loved it!
Mate great setup. Don't like the dark camping though mate... I was out there last weekend, nice place to camp, and it was cold too. I set up in the light.😎
Yeah not a dark fan either, few hours before dark for me
Those upright fridges are awesome.
Interesting to see how it goes with 4 people in it and storage of swags and gear.
The kitchen rollout looks a cracker
Definitely looks the part!
Epic, I can see the love affair has begun. Enjoy!
Where’s Torbs
Lc trophy.. My favorite ever car.. Thank you
What a great setup. Love watching it evolve. Mate have you thought about getting an 85L+ upright? That one is miniature, no wonder you’re not in love with it ay. Get an 85 Bushmans, it really will make ALL the difference.
Ronny Dahl wonderfull video. Anyways can you do a full review of 1 HZ engine vs the V8 engine and which is better when purchasing a Land cruiser. Just a suggestion.
Hay Ronny the troopy's looking the tha good now legend
Awesome rig mate 😀👍👍
Love the Troopy mate! It’s come along so well. I was lucky enough to have 2 troopys at my disposal at Bamaga when I was in the Army and I’ve loved them ever since!
What knife were you using to sharpen the skewers?
Great video once again Ronny. Thank you for sharing. Will you be coming to the Melbourne 4x4 show?
Would like to know more about the suspension setup. 5.5k Probably more relative to the majority than spending copious amounts. Would like to see a review if you get around to it.
Damn good Ronny.
Kudos to Trav, I don't think I heard him say `obviously' once 😁
Loved it!! 🤘🤘🤘🇨🇦
That creaking would drive me nuts
Same, this is the first time hearing about this issue, glad Ronny pointed it out
@@jarrod1687 maybe it’s specific to the conversion he got, never heard it before
So technically, you could get done for 3' lift when only legally allowed 2"in W.A.? . I know would be really unlikely though.
Amazing build, hopi g to kit out a troopy for some solo travels once kids are all grown up, long way off though so will be sticking with the Prado for now. What is the rear tyre storage shelf on the FJ? Looking at something similar for my car. Keen to know brand/ how its mounted?
I guess I've had big V8's in my trucks for too long. Seeing those engines needing to work a bit to get up these hills is rather surprising to me.
Had a 1996 4-runner years back, and it was fairly underpowered with it's V6 for off road. I wonder if it's HP/torque numbers are similar to these. Will. Have to look it up, hope they have a good bit more power than that thing had, lol.
both these vehicles are turbo diesel v8s. twin turbo on the wagon...
@@danedavidson so I just looked up the troopys engine specs, and wow! They are ridiculously underpowered compared to pretty much everything else on the market.
Though it makes these videos even more amazing because of it.
😎👍
Also gps following 🎉
L.E.D bulbs from stedi next
Has torbs stopped his involvement?
I wish the troopy came in an auto, only thing stopping me getting one.
You can get auto conversions
Someone let Trav know that more lift won't help his rear diff clearance :)
Flex and 79 series should not be used in the one sentence! Paradoxical state of play! Defaulting to diff locks every time it gets "hard", is not going to help you learn the vehicles' suspension limits nor does it help you to learn the "lines" you need to use for it. Better to experiment with open diffs and learn what it can and can't crawl. It also makes you adjust to the different lines that a particular vehicle prefers, rather than masking the whole drive by just relying on the differential locks. Tell your buddy that more lift will do nothing for clearance under the pumpkins!
6:20 is the creaking and groaning normal on all roof conversion?
Great video Ronny mate.
Makes me want to trade-in our 2021 Dmax for a troopy.........
But I wouldn't survive the wife 😂😂😂😂
I like it. Seems to have handled the Tracks well. What are your thoughts on the Dobinsons Leaf Packs?
Toyota Australia must invite Ronny Dahl to test drive the new Landcruiser 70 series that will coming
Ronny?
Did you have a fall out with ASPW?
you guys should collaborate on your troopies
Unnnnncclllleee Ronnnnnnnyyy
Include more footage of the FJ in the future, please Dahl.
How do you become a member?
Hello from Russia!!!
Hey Ronnie what are your thoughts on the facelifted 2024 70 series?
Ronny seems like a straight up down to earth bloke. Keep it up legend. Will you be at melbourne 4x4 show brother?
Do the Gull Wings Leak?
Give it the Car Jet Wash Test?
If it passes...SIGN ME UP! HOW MUCH?
Are you actually from Denmark and i mean The real viking Denmark 😂
Yes he is, and so is Torben. They went to school here that's why they sound like fair dinkum Aussies. (Answering you Henrik, just in case Ronny doesn't have time.)
Don't understand why you try to hold onto the "LandCruiser" title when Toyota themselves gave it to the Prado years ago... hardly has meaning anymore.
Show more FJ on the trips!
I don't carry enough fuel lol
Haha yeah I know how that feels. My FJ is on 35's and my last tank was bad. 185 miles or so. Lots of hours in low range in the rocks though. @@reconadventures9257
The FJ cruiser is a petrol prado except with a little bit of a forger wheel base
Troopy looks great but you said budget suspension, I don’t think $5000 is a budget suspension, i spent about $2700 on mine and that’s not peanuts to a lot of people with families
Why nobody use Iron Man bumper snorkel stuff like suspension always Omi or ARB but no iron man.
Havnt the intros become very commercial. I’m not sure if it’s good or bad.
All bloody commercial these days unfortunately
I don't mind the change in production value and style. Odds are it's not far from the original vision just with more production value
