During an interview Serj was asked about why he called the song what he did. He simply replied that it was for fun. That during other interviews with multiple journalists he found it absolutely hilarious hearing them all say Beethoven's Cunt in different accents etc. He did it for the joke, the controversy and the hype it would get the song/album me thinks.
to me the song is a meta-piece describing an artist's paradoxical relationship between his art and his muse. The muse draws him into creativity but also pulls him away from the artistic forms through which he must create. The song describes disillusionment experienced by both the artist and his muse and portrays this breaking down of meaning as sort of inter-personal apocalypse.
I think that this is just as amazing as a SOAD album, and personally, I don't feel like there's a need to even think about the hiatus thing. Just enjoy the great music, I say.

I agree. The self-titled was the best album, and Toxicity was a great breakout sophomore record. Now even though more people have a hard-on for them in the mainstream, the music is much more repetitive and self-indulgent. This has happened to too many bands in the past few years. At least it's reassuring that we're seeing the reuniting of many great 90's bands like Rage ATM and STP, and the pushing forward of others like Radiohead, NIN, and Tool.
