She's amazing. I could listen to her all day.
Lucinda is so real and down to earth. Seems like a regular person, although as an artist she ranks with the very best.
A wonderful woman and a huge talent.🎸🎤She is unique and REAL.
Definatelly one of the best of all times! Love this lady!
I just want to make sure shes happy and content and taken care of and knows shes loved and appreciated.
I love how she describes her “unrequited love songs” as “Oh my baby left me, I’m so sad or whatever.” She’s such an authentic person, never trying to impress anyone.
Yet all she does is
Impress… her words and her emotions cut right to the bone but with eloquence and grace … she lives that phrase
Love yu Lucinda, you're our girl.
love your music have for many years keep- going on
I’m late to the party here, but Lucinda is just pure awesomeness… she’s the best songwriter….ever
I love her so much! ❤️
Lucinda can do whatever and say whatever she wants. An artists' artist if there ever was one and certainly in Dylan's league.
Lucinda is a national treasure.
Lucinda is a great artist. Great talent. I like her and she is still played on my local college radio station. Jacksonville State 91.9 in Alabama.Jamed out this morning listening to her on the way to work.
I love listening to her sing and the songs are so meaningful and heartfelt. It does sound like she may have had a stroke? God bless Lucinda Williams. Hope she is doing well.
Nothing like being interviewed after being worked over or falling down somewhere. Still, she's got this appeal that I like. She's definitely an original.
I LOVE YOU LU!!!!
Lucinda your the greasiest :; love you 😍
Love the lady
Lucinda is a great writer... first question: what happened to your eye.. who hit you..why? Very talented lady... saw her play a couple of times... thanks for all the music 🎼
Who would dare hit her? Only the most insensitive I can only imagine. She seems so tough but roughed up by life, and still so incredibly charismatic.
Great interview. Now I’m glad I majored in Anthropology. Lucinda is such a great songwriter and performer.
Lucinda's background is much like mine. "Lake Charles" --- can't beat it.
Very Cool Woman...
American treasure.
Lucinda, i like your song but i feel you so sad singing and speaking. Girl, you have to get happiness because you are a light on darkness
funny, cultural anthropology is in a way what you're doing now. You are a part of the culture and the times with your writing. So you did accomplish that. Very cool
"Always a comfort to see real, in a world that ain't so!"-gilpin 9717
Freely came it to me for you to use, like sandwich bread, like a song's message refrain.
May both 3:16's of John & Malachi follow you & your work. .
Can someone please tell me why she has a black eye?
I was wondering the same thing. I think she got punched. World Without Tears somehow got me tru a 7 year long divorce to (from)a narcissist.
@Bob Amato & @Alene Sheffield... Fuck man, sounds like both of you gave it to her! That’s an innocent question that’s probably on a lot of peoples minds.
Question 22 how'd you get that shiner and is there a song in there somewhere?
I wanna see the other person in the fight that gave her that shiner. I'll bet she won.
"Play Misty for me, Errol."
Hahaha, I'm sure the composer of Cat Scratch Fever really wounded the composer of Drunken Angel with his comments! Makes me sick to my stomach the idea that any man would diss Lucinda Williams
Lol...if it makes anyone feel better: Ted Nugent was the first concert I ever went to in Seattle around 1979. What was funny was seeing Ted getting totally blown off the stage by both AC/DC and Cheap Trick. Ted opened the show and at that time I hadn't even heard of either of the other bands. Ted was Ted...but both of the other bands were just catching their wave of superstardom success. The only reason I went to see the show was because a couple of my buddies liked Wang Dang whatever the hell song. But for me anyway Nugent from then on was a total "has been." I still like Cheap Trick...not so much AC/DC. FAST FORWARD: I saw Lucinda open for Bob Dylan at the Puyallup Fair Grounds in about 1998. It really doesn't get better than that. Really!!! Lucinda is a Goddess. I hadn't yet heard of Lucinda back then but I immediately became a fan. I now have a lot of her albums loaded onto my MP3 and never "next" her. I so love hearing her voice and soul. We saw her perform again at the Las Vegas House of Blues...I was in love with her! So beautiful...so talented. The band just tore it down...
I love how she says the word nineteen.
What's with the shiner Lu??
she obviously has a back eye band that is what Udi A. asked@@shirlelyhathaway2128
Well if you're ever in Phoenix will eat boxed lunches how about that? More so for me even than Joni I connect with your music this was a great interview thank you...
Bejeziz! Pretty shallow bunch of guys aren't you all! Grow up! Listen to her story! So what about her eye ! Meth??? What! More like a diabetic? Listen to her life it comes out in her music! Her loves her dislikes her influences Dylan ! Wow Lucinda is a grand dame! A poet, a human, refined and a rough diamond, strong and vulnerable thank you Lucinda for showing you can succeed just being you!
I think she should write a song about a Blues guy Rocky Hill “I want to kick your face you may think your something but…please let me kick your face
Jeesh, what a mess. 22nd question. Who punched you out?
Watching her laugh about the "eat your box" comment made me laugh. Obviously the liberal host here doesn't like Ted....OH.. what a surprise!
Wow, hard to watch
It's like watching a Keith Richards interview. And that interviewer is awful.
And we wonder why the Me Too movement finally took hold. The “Box” comment was probably intended as a compliment yet how gross it must feel to have to endure dum dum comments and realize that was intended to not be offensive but complimentary. The horrible reality of dog drool on you and at the sad realization that at least you weren’t mauled.
This is tragic.
Hard to watch, didn't anyone have some makeup for her?
I hear the meth has ruined her. So sad.
where did you happen to "hear" that? she was and may still be a drinker, but no record of hard drug use. also she's hardly "ruined". still cranking out albums and perpetually touring. making stuff up and saying "so sad", reminds me of Donald...
My guess is that its alcohol. I doubt its meth but its certainly something. Nobody falls apart this fast physically without help.
R u Ignorant or what? Why don't you research Lu before trying to spread Lies & Rumors. This is not true - Did Meth ruin you? Certainly not this American Artist. You are uninformed, yeah sounds like Trump ' simply mouthing off' with NO facts.
What are you talking about? Lu doesn't do heavy drugs. Maybe a little wine and or weed. She is beautiful!
Insulin resistance.
Lucinda, you're one of the greatest, and most original singer/songwriters of all time, at least in my book! I love you because you touch me with your music. You're the real deal, no doubt about it! Steady on my friend.
One of the greatest.
