Joe Garagiola co-anchored the NBC "Today" show .. replaced actor Jack Kelly as host of "Sale Of The Century"....and was a commentator on the NBC MLB Game Of The Week with former NY Yankee Tony Kubek......and along with Nipsey Russell...would fill in as a guest host on "To Tell The Truth"....and would eventually host the show full time after Garry Moore retired as the result of his being treated for throat cancer

Sad to say none of the episodes of Sale of the Century that Joe hosted have survived

They cut out the intro of celebrities, so that they can put in more commercial breaks.

Since WML? was being produced for first-run syndication at that time, there wouldn't have been a specific air date; different stations would've aired it during different weeks, as they would essentially rotate physical tapes of the shows amongst themselves. (That practice was called "bicycling".) Only in the early '80s did syndicated shows start being distributed via satellite--possibly beginning with Entertainment Tonight.

Had to fall 1972,which is when Larry replaced Wally, because 1) Larry's pull tab still shows money amounts like the flip cards did 2) his full name is on his desk, eventually it was just "Larry"

Good thing the panel was wearing eye masks or the shine off Joe's bald noggin would have blinded them.
