    Great breakdown and some hidden gems that I'm definitely gonna include. I want to mention a couple of cards for inspiration that also work really well in a fast Wilson deck:
    - Elvish Pioneer (basically a 2nd Arboreal Grazer)
    - Viridian Emissary and Primal Druid (similar to Sakura-Tribe Elder but they trigger on death instead of sac)
    - Guardian Augmenter (this thing just has everything Wilson wants: instant speed protection, buff for Wilson and is a creature that could be sacced in a pinch)
    - Sméagol, Helpful Guide (more of a flavor card than high impact but works thematically very well and does provide good value over time)
    - Sawtusk Demolisher (removes a noncreature threat and buffs Wilson by +4/+4 essentially. Unlike the 2 mentioned 4cmc spells it's at sorcery speed though)
    - Forgotten Ancient (for 4 mana this is a HUGE threat but does require to live until upkeep to pay dividends)
    - Golgari Charm (cheap and a very flexible card)
    - Ghost Lantern (cheap, continuous buffs for Wilson)
    - Belt of Giant Strength (this thing rocks. At best it's a 2cmc +8/+8 and at worst it's a 4-5cmc +8/+8)
    - Staff of Titania (a bit more expensive Blanchwood Armor but it does ramp & grows in power & creates sac tokens)
    - Hydra's Growth (with the amount of +1/+1 counters on Wilson, just one upkeep trigger is enough of a threat to potentially lethal someone)
    - Bear Umbra (another absolutely incredible Totem Armor. More protection for Wilson, gives a decent buff and best of all it's basically free - you untap the lands you tapped for it after an attack - not even required to deal damage)
    - Fight Rigging (basically reads: continuous buffs for Wilson and there's a decent chance it will immediately replace itself with another card of cmc 3 or more)
    - Mosswort Bridge (untapped Land with a free cast on top is great and it's very easy to activate for this deck)

    In my Wilson/Occultist deck I run as many utility lands as I can including lands that make a creature or straight up man lands. I find it helps Wilson avoid removal since players won't necessarily see that I have a way to feed the bear from my lands and will therefore not remove him on their turns

      Ooh, I like that! I've had similar success with some small creatures like Cult Conscript that can self reanimate as an instant to get out of scrapes like that. But Blanchwood Armor and Primal bellow have won me more games than those creatures have saved me, so I'm hesitant to cut the forests for the manlands. If they ever made one with a forest type though I'd be interested (besides dryad grove ofc).

    I really like the analysis of the gameplay (turn 1, 2...). How reliable does this happen? You maybe need to have like 14 cards to reliable draw at least 1 in opening hand (after mullingans). And what about agressive mulligan? Maybe its better to have all 1 mana dorks and mulligan agressively to have them allways.
    It would cool to have a simple analyis like: On turn 4 the deck wants to play one of this cards 8 cards, so the odds to get them at turn 4 is...(?).

      @aegisgamingofficial2178  Před 11 měsíci +2

      I've always found that the early turns are the most predictable and easiest to get right. There are enough 1 cost mana dorks that the T1-->T2-->T3-->T4 lines are really reliable for Wilson in particular, and so I usually say "turns 5 and beyond" when the probabilities start to taper off.

    Thanks for this. Comparing the two deck lists, it looks like you swap out $Commanders' Plate$ for Blackblade Reforged and $Llanowar Wastes$ for a swamp. Also noticed one list has Sanctuary Blade, while the other has Fungal Rebirth. Should this last swap apply to both decks?

      Thanks for watching!
      Fungal Rebirth probably should be in both lists, I'll fix that if I forgot 😅

    Hello, what is your opinion about "not dead after all", maybe it can work in this deck?

    • @aegisgamingofficial2178
      @aegisgamingofficial2178  Před 9 měsíci +1

      I love it in Braids, Arisen Nightmare, but for Wilson I'm less sure. I *really* like Royal Treament though. The instant speed hexproof with an extra layer of ward *and* a buff is crazy.

    Love this deck, but my group always focus me first, even if they play very strong commander like Kaalia and Yuriko, I struggle a lot to win, they hate a lot the deck, is very fun to play.

    I wouldn't discard Jadar as an option, it ensures that you have a creature to sacrifice and it's just 2 mana. The lists look so optimized though, it's very hard to find room for it.
    Also I wanted to ask what are your opinions on Jhoira, Ageless Innovator (not a deck request btw). On EDHREC you see stuff like cost reducers and cards that benefit from casting artifacts, but she puts them directly into play without spending mana. I built mine with cards that untap Jhoira/copy her ability so that I get more activations and bigger artifacts, and I keep mana up for card draw and counterspells.

    • @aegisgamingofficial2178
      @aegisgamingofficial2178  Před 11 měsíci +2

      Yes!! That's exactly what I was thinking. I've been looking at that Jhoira occasionally and it blows my mind that people put so many cast interactions in that deck. I think you're on the right track with that one.

    • @erosbronzo6518
      @erosbronzo6518 Před 11 měsíci

      @aegisgamingofficial2178 Thanks. I have to say though, it's kind of a nightmare to balance.
      I have 14 effects that untap Jhoira/copy her ability, I'm still not sure if they're too much or just fine. Late game they're not great to draw, but some of them still provide some utility.
      There's 11 card draw effects + 5/6 tutors, but I feel like I need way more if I want always in hand protection or artifacts to play.
      Speaking of protection, 5 counterspells + Swiftfoot Boots + Soul of New Phyrexia are usually enough. I would add The Ozolith to store Jhoira's counters but it's too expensive (having that said I do have Cityscape Leveler and Portal to Phyrexia. Although the former I bought for 5€ before it's price was quadrupled, while the latter was gifted to me).

      @aegisgamingofficial2178  Před 11 měsíci

      Yeah I can imagine that'd be difficult. It's not just that she generates value over time, but that it's all cumulative: if she *ever* leaves the field you're rebuilding. Instead of making it a game of "how long can I protect Jhoira for," have you thought about stax? Even in playgroups that are hostile to those effects, there are plenty of pieces that would serve your purposes that do more to reign in players in the lead than lock people out of their fun.

    • @erosbronzo6518
      @erosbronzo6518 Před 11 měsíci

      I don't usually play with stax, but I'll see what I can find. Thank you for the advice
