Thank you so much for this video bro I cannot tell you how much I appreciate this video! Honestly, I was trying to do some wicked Weird s*** between recording a Twitch live stream screen capture. And the cam on my phone shooting the mpc pads. Then, I'm clipping it all together trying to make it look like the audio is in time haha. Had a hard time I was rushing, so i probably made getting the screen settings properly harder than it needed to be. I really wanted to pump out a video on my new channel before the new year. Much respect... dope video...got me thinking bout getting that Tascam, I’m guessing you can use that to record from a condenser mic via XLR into your MPC?
Yessir! I used it as a Preamp for about a year when I first started my channel, lol. I had a cheap interface with no phantom power.

You're essentially talking about those of us that would use a camera phone to record
a short video of a beat we're showing off right? But instead of using the microphone on
the phone to pick up the audio coming out of the HS50s I have for example, it routes right
over to that Tascam? I'm pretty sure that's what you're saying? If so that's dope and I def
need to look into getting one of those rigs. I enjoy posting short 1 min videos of new beats
and posting them on Instagram. The quality is good but could definitely be better.
This would also allow my videos to have perfect audio if I decide to post much longer stuff
for CZcams. I've always wanted to show off working on beats live and post 30-1 hour long
videos of me working on projects but I want the quality to be solid instead of just decent.
Yeah man, the Tascam has a lot of great uses. Mainly for recording on the go, or without being connected to a DAW. It can also screw to the bottom of a camera so it can be one handheld unit.
iamsight so the audio goes to the tascam sd card? Im just wondering do you have to nudge the audio in place to put it all together
I haven't got round to it yet, but OBS must be just storing the config in a file, a script to start it to copy a script in would allow multiple configs with the same OBS version

Dope video brotha. I recently bought the tascam dr60 and I wanted to know which cord you are using from the mpc one into the 3/4 channel. I have the 1/8 to 3.5 jack but no sound. I use this cord to sample from my phone. Please help if you can

Bro, I've been looking for an alternative to recording mixes inside Serato and Audacity, especially since I plan to use a mic also. The Tascam DR 60D MKII can do the double duty of doing that and recording audio for my beat vids without having to record with my GoPro and bounce the video to my phone. Tascam should give you a cut of the sale they're about to get, lol 👍🏾👍🏾

Lol I was searching all around the phone to see if I had a mic jack and nope! Just headphones. I do have a laptop that has a focusrite Scarlett box. What can I do with that?
You can also get a usb c to USBA adapter and connect your interface, or a usb dongle with a mic jack.

Just check yr video out bro… I can get sound from mic to my iPhone but I can’t get sound from mpc to iPhone… I have tascam set for 4 channels and I’m getting levels on it from mpc… I’m stumped… If ya can help, much appreciated….

How do i record into my daw
what kind of cable do i need to go from the mic out of DR-60d to phone? I'm assuming a trrs cable? peace and respect thanks for the content it's really helped me get settled into the MPC live 2 coming from the 2000 OG
I like to use is a regular aux cable with a gaming "Y Adapter" which is made for PS4 controllers etc. It separates the phone's mic from the L/R out. Usually around $5 on Amazon.

There is a lightning to aux dongle you can get (comes with some iPhones) that will allow you to use these techniques.
What camera are you using

I think you can get away with a gaming “Y adapter” actually. I have been doing this and running an aux directly to the phone from my headphone port and it’s been great!

I think with StreamYard you just have to have some type of mixer going to your camera, even just a basic one so the audio will be sync'd up.

@@labandlegacy how do you set it up? I have an iPhone. I plug the 3-4 aux to xlr into the output of the mpcx. then I plug the aux cable that came with the tascam dr-60Dmk2 to the camera out. Then plug that into an iPhone aux dongle to my iPhone. I have an iPhone XR if that helps. when I go to record a video from there its not picking up the audio from the dr-60mk2 from the output sound of my mpcx.I can plug my headphones into the dr-60 mk2 and hear everything from my mpcx. Are there specific settings you have to set up on the pcm recorder
