    Sirakot Temple is a famous temple located in Didihat of Pithoragarh district in Uttarakhand. This temple is situated at a distance of 2 km away from Didihat. This famous temple is dedicated to Lord Malaynath (Lord Shiva). It is believed that this ancient Sirakot Temple of Lord Malaynath was built by the Raika kings. Every year a fair is held at Sirakot temple during Shivaratri, where a large number of devotees come to the temple. The hill on which the temple is situated, from there get to see a spectacular and fascinating view of the Himalaya ranges.
    🏔 Panchachuli: The Panchachuli peaks are a group of five snow-capped Himalayan peaks lying at the end of the eastern Kumaon region, near Dugtu Village Darma valley. The peaks have altitudes ranging from 6,334 metres to 6,904 metres.
    From this place you can enjoy the beautiful views of Panchachuli and other Himalayan ranges of Uttarakhand (like Trisul - 7120 m, Rajrambha - 6539 m, Nanda Devi - 7816 m, Sundnda Devi - 7434 m, Nanda Kot - 6861 m, etc) and the Himalayan peaks of Nepal (like Api - 7132, Bobaye - 6808 m etc) and China as well.
    📜 Historical Importance:
    Didihat was once ruled by the Raika and Malla kings of Sirakot. During the time of King Hari Malla, the region was governed by the Doti Kingdom of Nepal. Around 1581 A.D., the Raikas of Doti was defeated by King Rudra Chandra of the Chand dynasty. Even today, one can find the remnants of ancient forts and temples narrating the old tales. The city is also famous for the ancient Sirakot Temple of Lord Malay Nath, built by the Raika kings.
