Appreciate you breaking down the cost. If I had a nickel for every build video I watched that doesnt mention costs lol. Looking at rebuilding my 2004 sierra 5.3 now i have a good ball park on what to expect.

I got quoted $8,000 for every thing you just got done and that’s me supplying the parts.. I might have to get a few more quotes 😆

Great video and shoutout to the guys that did the work for you. Now we all know when someone's trying to rip us a new one, and probably won't even do that work right

This is exactly the type of information I needed! Plan on buying a mustang s550 and since I’m planning on keeping that car forever I plan on doing a rebuild now so I can also do some serious upgrades!

We just discovered the main issue the other day. I'm working on the video that shows what we think happened. long story short, it looks like a parts selection issue.

sir I would like to know if gm 4.3 liter heads, casting number 14099064 with the eyebrows will work on an engine with the TBI intake set up.. the 4.3 engines are very confusing from so many changes over the years.. I have a 93 block. I have read that the 14099064 heads were an improved flow head, designed to be used with the CPI fuel injection system. I also read that some of these heads were used in the higher output K series and W series engines with the TBI set up.. I dont want to waste a set of head gaskets if these heads will not work with my TBI intake set up.. thanks
