To put in perspective for this game, Shots on Goal: Tampa 42. Devil 24. That is not sustainable. You cannot expect to win when your offense is not hustling and the defense is lost and non-existent. During the game they showed a stat that the Devils offense right now - especially on the power play - is 50% of what it when Jack Hughes is in the lineup. Fitzgerald has to do something, -- but without being rash or hasty. What was that Kevin Bahl pass all about ? Kevin Bahl's pass epitomizes just how poor the Devils defense has been this year.

@@xTheGregxSuch a horrible take, Cernak is one of the best defensive blue-liners in the league. And Sergachev has been more reliable defensively than Hedman this year.
Devils just do not play well.Too many mistakes and defense makes the goalies life miserable.Congratulations to the Lightning for the win,as for the Devils,the break cannot come soon enough.Time to come up with a new playbook.
Vanecek was holding Devils up until sixth goal. Mistakes were made from his pass ending up in goal for Tampa. From there in went downhill... great game tho, wp lightning
