- I tried the Brussels Airlines/Cityjet Sukhoi Superjet SSJ100 on a short flight from Berlin Tegel Airport to Brussels (1:10h) in Economy Class - a Trip Report Review of a great russian built plane (EI-FWE in Brussels Livery)! That's an amazing take off..very less noise inside the cabin ....that's cool
A very impressive aircraft! Have flown it a few times between Brussels and Stockholm Bromma, which is the city airport which imposes strict noise regulations. Until recently Brussels Airlines would use their four engine AVRO jets, and I consider the Sukhoi a far more modern and comfortable plane with superior interior and better room for hand luggage
When our factory developed the SSJ, the task was to create a regional aircraft, which, in terms of its level of comfort, would not yield to medium-medium aircraft. Therefore, the SSJ has a large space between the seats, voluminous luggage shelves, wide chairs, and a high ceiling.
It even forced to develop new engines for this aircraft.

Ну и отлично,супер джет летает, иностранцам смотрю тоже нравится, теперь очередь за МС- 21, чтобы летал и нас и их радовал а там глядишь и широкофезеляжный построим ну или на крайняк ИЛ-96 модернизирует. Радостно что опять начали строить гражданские самолёты.👍👍👍
Loved this video. I thought the SSJ 100 could compete in the West due to quality and pricing. If you cannot provide spare parts as needed, the investment in the jet is wasted if unable to generate revenue for the airline. I have read great reviews on this jet but most expensive jets on the market need new and rebuilt parts and equipment. I hope UAC-Sukhoi can fix the parts issue so Interjet can keep their fleet going. Great video by the way.
I think for Sukhoi this is not a real deal. They already sold and delivered 193 Superjets and their production line is alocated for next 4-5 years with capacity of 18-19 airplanes per year. So they have not real motivation to invest money into solving some issues for potential western customers. Anyway, for most western airlines it would be unacceptable to wait for first airplanes 4 or 5 years, so they have no interest to put orders and Sukhoi have no interest to spending money on boosting production line and solving problems with insufficient maintenance capacities outside of eastern Europe and Asia.
SSJ is intentionally made of US and European spare parts and avionics to make easy certification and service. That was ideology when plane was build. But turns out that fair competition does not work and trying to organise stable spare parts delivery to the clients Sukhoi meets constant delays and cancellation of delivery. That’s a whole story. Soon all Mexican and Belgium SSJ stay on the land. Raw politics
@@esharapov I would be in favor of the SSJ, the MC-21 and the Antonov 148/158 Being allowed to compete in the West. Building trade helps established relationships. Russia has built some good and reliable airplanes over the years. I believe US airline companies would benefit as long as parts were available. All of these jets are FAA Certifiable and can use Russian or Western engines and avionics. Would rather fly in the MC-21 than the 737 MAX.

This plane was cruising at +825kmh... in a much shorter route. Great Russian technology

Sukhoi should get serious in marketing their planes worldwide. They have a very good product and they're losing a lot business to Bombardier & Embraer.
Yeah Sukhoi ssj100 is cheap too it just costs 32 million but a bombardier 90 seater turboprop plane costs 36 million so ssj100 is a bang of bucks
A good product does not need advertising. The word of quality is quickly spread in the circles of people who are interested in such information.
USSR/Russia philosophy: 99% of money invest in product and 1% of money in advertising.
USA philosophy: 1% of money use to pack shit in golden foil and 99% of money use to persuade people that this product is remarkable and unsurpassed and for bribes and corruption in order to keep the product in the market.
Yes. That's why Boeing has almost no commercial aircraft sales and Sukhoi has sold TENS of thousands of these. You may hate the U.S., but don't lie about the quality of American commercial aircraft. We invented the modern commercial jetliner - the ones that don't break apart.
I guess you are referring to US tanker´s contract where Boing dickheads wwent to jail, Airbus won and cancelled the contract to sell the planes to good old Boeing with their "superior" B767 crap of the 60´s...BRUTAL FACTS

Very lucky of you to get to fly all these rare types! I've been trying to avoid as much as possible to fly on a russian airplane but maybe I should give the ssj a try some day :)

Russia has always been one of the leaders in the production of aircraft. In vain you are afraid. This plane is being built in my city at the same plant where the Su-27/30/35 and the new Su-57 (PAK-FA) are being built.
Do you think that people who build fighter planes will build a bad airplane for passengers? Maybe it will not be so convenient (it will come with time), but its reliability will be very high.
Aerospace student here, just yesterday we presented a project for a regional aircraft (1600 NM range, around 80 passengers) and we had to make it to be competitive. It was IMPOSSIBLE to beat this aircraft, believe me.
Russian planes are BEST IN CLASS, just check vids of IL 62 IL 76 landing in raw grassy surfaces and brake the plane like rally cars...
And no matter what you do, it will cope with it. Bad maintenance and old parts are bringing russian planes down, but look it at this way, current old russian planes still flying mahe double the hours of any wesern counterpart, yet they do the job domestically because high fuel prices do not affect Russia.

Плюс сильно фонила СКВ в 4-5 ряду, ее тоже переделали немного, стало вообще не слышно.
Вообще у нас завод их от машины к машине улучшает.
Детские болезни,подлечили.Суперджет теперь отличный самолет.Летал Аэрофлотом,понравился

Budget travel? Depends. In Europe you can fly very very cheap. Sometimes i pay less than 10€ per flight! Just be flexible on where and when you go

By now Brussels Airlines have phased out all Sukhoi planes and replaced them with Bombardiers.
I know. I was on one of the last flights last year... they were leased from Cityjet. Thats also where they have all the CRJ's from right now

The winglets, sharklets are not just for good looks. SSJ is Russian, like 20 years behind. Whatever SSJ is more than half made of western build parts, tech.

Pretty sad... only heard good things from the crews and passengers! Just the high down time for maintainance is the issue!
