@@nova62324 A lot of bad things can happen in 3 minutes. He took a big shot at the end of the round and he said he can't hear properly right now. Regardless, he still shows up to the armwrestling practice like a champ. Don't degrade someone else's achievements man. It's easy to judge someone until you step in his shoes.
Devon is a charismatic dude, he is good for arm wrestling. I like how he always encourages everyone and gives them pointers on their technique.

@@jainishsah3678 Because your body can heal one hand faster than it can heal two at the same time. If you train both, then your body will have to distribute its limited resources to both. Many arm wrestlers SORT OF train both though (E: Devon held the Nr.1 titles for both the left and right hand at the same time, though he was the only arm wrestler to ever do it) but they'll always mainly focus on one depending on which one they're having a match with next.
This is why he calls it the "way of the giant pumpkin", this is how giant pumpkins are grown, you take out all the pumpkins from the plant except one, so all the nutrients the plant absorbs are distributed to a single pumpkin, thus creating a giant pumpkin. The human body can work slightly similarly.
This is also why full body burns are extremely dangerous, because the body can't keep up and doesn't have neither the resources nor the ability to heal so many burns at once, so doctors need to implant "fake" skin, or sometimes even fish skin, to help it heal, otherwise the body will waste itself dry of resources trying to create the skin & nutrients & water needed to heal it all.

That's why he and Larry get a long so well and are so compatible they don't take it personally. I mean sure, they have ego and pride, all humans do to an extent but the way they channel it they don't internalize it negatively, they use it as fuel to improve.
He really is just like Goku. That man doesn't have a selfish bone in his body. He wants to see others be great so he can push himself to be greater, then he will help them again!

@@robosing225 but think this is days after his boxing match and if you watch any of Devon training he uses lots of muscle over technique when arm wrestling out of competition. You can’t trust Devons success when training or not in an actual match. Devon plays a lot when it’s not for real.

He is left handed , and arm wrestling isn’t bad hat popular and mostly right handers . With the quad tear he may go into this hard . He would win with all the CrossFit training and stronger arms to start for sure . With specialized training at this point larry could be the next Devon
The more I watch Devon and Larry’s content, the more I feel that they enjoy seeing other people’s successes and progression as much as their own. It’s great to see two genuine, hard working beasts 👍🏼💪🏼

What a guy, 12 hours out from a fight with the mountain. Totally changed his training for 5 weeks. Comes out to practice and not afraid to be somewhat vulnerable because of it all! A True champion for the sport and my country 🇨🇦 . Shows the quality of his character. Just loves the interaction. ✊

Wow, watching him against Big Loz was amazing. Loz holds world records in strength, and is absolutely arguably one of the strongest men on the Planet, and it looked like he was just hitting a wall while arm wrestling Devon. And this after Devon lost what, like 20 lbs for the fight, fought the mountain, and already was training Larry. What a beast.
Ya people forget he literally didn’t arm-wrestle once for like nearly 6 weeks straight. Imagine taking 6 weeks off from lifting weights and trying to hit prs right away. He’s a madman

I gotta say it again lol. As a former boxer, devon made me so proud! He came in swinging and went out the same way! In any boxing gym an in the boxing world in general anyone that comes in outgunned but goes sttaight at the opponent for a war swinging for the fences and goes out swinging like devon did gets hige respect. If you're gonna lose, going out on your shield is how you gain huge respect by trainers and fighters. I was really worried he might get the flight instead of fight because it was a huge stage with the world watching but devon showed why hes the ultimate baddas warrior who give no fucks! He went straight at thor looking to bang till the bitter end. Valiant effort and if Devon had a year to train hed learn how to relax and land bombs.

Watching Loz start out reminds me of when Larry first started. Tons of strength there but its hard to translate it to arm wrestling without practice. And all that specific training for arm wrestling to really hone it in. I'd say he has some potential, an absolute house of a dude!
