How to not get jumpscared tips and tricks:
idk if you live alone or whatever but i used to play tarkov and always jumped. I just asked all the people who live with me to sneak up and scare me from behind whenever possible. I now never get scared, not even at the instagram reels where some sort of creature comes out of nowhere. I have the nerves of a golem.

Being scared is all about expectation for me.
In movies in tight situations : I'm expecting a jump scare so I almost never actually get scared.
But when ratman9000 sneaks up on me with a nailgun I jump too.

Tip: Repair benches can now refill jackhammers for free, just like workbenches (since 1 or 2 updates ago). One of the furnace bases you raided, you used a jackhammer to raid to the TC and had to run outside to refill it. But they had a repair bench right inside. Good luck in the future. Also for some reason pretending to be scared made the real jump go away, I guess part of the jumps are is not knowing how to react and the act of fear gave me direction in those moments

Jump scare training: I got over this playing ghosts of tabor in VR. Any time you go into a high risk situation just take some slow deep breaths. Gets you into the mindset that you’re going to get shot at reminding you not to jump because you’re readying yourself for it whilst also calming you and steadying the nerves.

Spoon go to an indoor shooting range with hearing protection, rent a pistol or w.e and try and get used to the loud noise of gun fire. It helps out a lot man

The best way to get over your fear of jumpscares is to always anticipate it.
Kev if u wanna not get jumpscared get a bowl with water and splash it in your face rlly quick while keeping your eyes open, boxers do it so they dont flinch while boxing or close they eyes

spoonkid i am a licensed psychologist, what you have to do to get over ur fear of jump scares is avoiding it as much as possible, at all costs avoid it. it is the only way. it works because evetually when u dont experience it u will build up ur defenses against it and u will become stronger and then u won’t be scared. the period you have to avoid it is probably about half a year. forgive me for my bad spelling english is my third language

14:10 I used to be a very fearful person, afraid of nearly everything, but now I'm afraid of NEARLY nothing. I'd say the one thing I really am scared of is losing the ones I love, but I'd say that's healthy. I got over them just by finding reasons to not be scared, I guess. I rationalized everything and grew a sort of mentality. "If I think I will fail, I will fail. So, I must assume I will win so long as I try my hardest." And that has carried me through everything fearlessly. I've fought rabid dogs, and even used to be an MMA fighter, so I am in a position that most others can't experience in their lifetimes. I've fought people bigger than me and won. That's the kind of confidence you have to earn... Unfortunately. My biggest fear was the ocean, but now I kind of want to live in the ocean, so it's safe to say I'm not afraid of it anymore. Always played with the idea of buying a decommissioned oil platform and living on it.

Jumpiness is usually the result of being under a lot of stress. Playing Rust, not trusting anyone plays a role. Poor diet and lack of sleep can also lead to stress. But the single greatest cause would be if you ever play with a player named Blazed. He's the no.1 cause of most young men's jumpiness.

For a large furnace base just a wall is enough, you dont need the half wall too. The slope of the roof covers it.
