    Back in the day, working on dirt bikes, we use to put a little grease on a gasket to make it stay in place. Then you don't have to pull electric tape. Great videos, thanks

    Never use a screwdriver to separate the inner and outer primary assembly. Use a 5 in one painters tool. It is much wider and thinner while also being of strong material.

    I need to do this. The little magnet broke off when changing the primary fluid, and I'm worried it will bounce around and end up in my gears. Fkn rookie mistake. This is a great video and takes the fear of doing this out of it.

No service manual or such, couldnt have done it without your videos. Thank you for your content on here.

    Quick question. When it comes to a higher hp engine would it be more beneficial with a 2 in open primary or the stock primary set up? I have a 90 Heritage I got a Ultima 113, but I'm trying to decide between of using my stock primary or getting a 2 in open. I'm going with a chain set up for it. Should right around 120 hp.

    I did this today watching your video. While inside I noticed needed to change the tensioner. This all my first ever but while I was ready to install back I just happen to notice a bushing in the old primary and it was not in the new primary. I think it must be replaced and the dealer has them I just can’t finish as I wanted but why did you not mention? Is this necessary? I love your videos. Thank you for all you do. Hey brother, I need your expertise.... my daughter just bought a honda shadow 500, mid 80's I think... she called me yesterday saying her bike pops into neutral from first by itself... it doesn't happen all the time and only happens from first.... please help

    • @darianruttenberg4035
      @darianruttenberg4035 Před 2 lety

      First gear ( the actual metal gear that delivers power from engine to transmission ) could have worn gear dogs causing it to slip off or her clutch could be out of spec causing too little grab from the clutch plates allowing it to shift out of gear into neutral. Recommend taking to a shop and asking there. They’ll tell you better details and how to fix.
