While not exactly a van, but I love watching tiny house making videos, they make homes out of a bunch of unique things, and could be good inspiration on how to make the most out of a tiny space, along with some tips on space saving solutions you guys could use. My favorite channels would have to be Living Big in A Tiny House and Exploring Alternatives , they also have a bunch of sustainable ideas and such as well! It's super cool so it maybe worth checking out for more inspiration! (Exploring Alternatives has some through the process van builds and some good tips if you plan on DIYing it.)
i really love the way roxi n matt do everything together by themselves ...absolutely innovative n inspiring..
My mum and dad bought a van and converted it into a motorhome, just like what you’re wanting to do. They got it done by professionals tho.
• I would recommend having the front seats as swivel seats with a removable table, it’s a good use of space and can be put away easily.
•Also a high fixed bed at the back of the van is a good idea as it gives you lots of storage underneath it and you can lay down and look at the views from the back doors
•Personally I think it’s a good idea to cook on a hot plate or something a long those lines outside the van. It gives you more space inside the van and also prevents the interior smelling of the food you’ve cooked

Be aware though that some of the adhesives, silicon and so on can't be used in low temperatures. So if you don't have a garage I would do the insulation and window installation before hand.
There are plenty of good Van Conversions on youtube. Eamon & Bec (Ca), Danny & Tulu (UK), Louis the Van (US), Levi Allen (Ca), Kensie West (US), Max & Lee (Aus), Dennis Koburger (GER), Trent & Allie (US), Tio Aventura (US).
Eamon & bec, they have whole series on van life and recent videos about their whole journey on newly built 2nd van. And also Mr.kate just decorated a van and its super cute too
Careful with the roof window because if you are doing solar panels they take up more room than you think. Also just make sure you take advantage of all the small spaces that’s the key to making a great van.. and storage under the bed/ sofa chairs will save you (if you take as many clothes away with you as I do) Another thing is that you can buy a lot of the interior second hand with can save you a lot of money! Xx

Aw wow so happy for you guys! This is a dream of mine and my boyfriends. I have lots of friends who have converted their van and a few tips I would give is, you’ll want some kind of burner or heating system, try to make it as space efficient as possible with as much storage as possible. You can make a temporary work surface that sits on the sink for more space, you can also. Fold out shelf’s and things are good too. You can put a little lip on all the shelf’s so things don’t fall when driving. Aw I wish you guys the best with this project and can’t wait to see the progress 😁 x

Love the idea of a van build that would be awesome!! Eamon and Bec (YT channel) have built a few and theirs are incredible! They have just recently build a new one from scratch during lockdown!! Xx
My mum n step dad did it just there day to day van so still have it separated from the front, they have a bed off the floor with storage under, kitchen area and a log burner and put a chimney in and also have solar panel on top, they love it so much especially for festival etc 😍 xxxx
We have bought our van direct from the manufacturer in Italy, it arrives with us on the 18th. Can't wait to get started on the conversion. Would love to watch videos of you converting your own van.
This sounds so exciting! My sister bought a van right before quarantine started and has just finished renovating the inside with a bed, bathroom, and kitchen and is going to be living in it for the next couple years!

I'm super excited about this, I've wanted to build a van for years but don't have enough money or time but one day I'll find both and get it done, maybe this video serious will inspire me even more although you guys have great pluming and electric stills.
For the camera if I'm honest I see no difference but I'm just watching on my little smart phone.

Well done to you guys, on having a go at building a camper van.
You can buy the modules that fit straight in e g sink unit and toilet unit, even the cupboards, watch how a caravan is built, it ll give you good knowledge how to build your mobile home.

You should check out fun for Louis as he concerted a double decker bus a few years back , it turned out so cool. Loved the B roll shots with this camera. Shame that it doesn't allow you much filming time though . I don't know anything about cameras really.
Try watching the videos of TrentandAllie and Eamon and Bec, both have built a few vans each from scratch, I think you will find these interesting.

Apparently you can get fans that you can rotate 360 degrees that are really helpful in the summer, the channel Kara and Nate have a really good example in their van tour

My husband and I are nearing the end of our conversion! We have a LWB Mercedes sprinter. It’s an EX DHL van! I have a few photos on my Instagram of it. You should 100% do it! We are currently travelling in ours and heading to Scotland next week. Xxx

Eamon and Bec have a CZcams channel that documents their van life. If you haven't seen them they are a couple that build and live full-time in their van. They had to leave their last van in Morocco when Covid hit, but have been designing their new van with what they have learned on their journies.

Sounds like a cool idea, I’m sure you already know this but check what weigh categories the van you want/ your driving license falls into, The B category license most of us have at our age is limited to a max gross vehicle weight of 3500KG and that has to include the van, all fuels/ fluids, people and anything in the van itself so I imagine a high top long wheelbase transit might be on the edge of a Max mass of 3500KG.
I think you should definitely do the van! It’s a great investment for how ever long you want and it’s a fun project for you guys to do I think it’s a great idea 🌻

i convert busses done 12 now for different people such a grey area around lenth weight and dvla rule changes as to change of class from van to camper

I have a Ford van and it is a great car; P.S. you should have a really minimal style because the van it is so small and you will need to be really tidy!
