I have a poulan pro blower that only wants to runs on half choke. Also a plastic piece on the throttle lever just broke. After watching this, thinking a new carb is the way to go. Thanks!

Very good video, however resetting the spring on the carburetor linkage using the needle nose pliers would be helpful.l

      Thanks Don!
To answer your question, I've run them through an Ultrasonic cleaner twice and rebuilt them using carb kits, sometimes they just don't run right, even after tuning/adjusting...
So in the end it simply isn't worth the hassle, as the price of a brand new carb equals what my labour and a carb kit would cost if I were to rebuild the old one!
Also, I don't charge my customers what the MSRP is, so they save a bit of $$$ too!

Did you figure out why your saw doesn't want to run? I picked up my 353 e-tech from a guy who had a pair of vise grips tie-wired onto the handle/throttle linkage! Bypassing the throttle assembly. (I definitely should have taken some pictures)... Anyway, I ended up replacing the: throttle linkage, fuel tank, fuel lines, primer bulb, air/fuel filters, chain brake, spark plug (of course), recoil spring, & pull rope. I also had to clean and adjust the carburetor. My point is; I would start with the simplest/ cheapest possible solution and work your way up from there. You're never going to regret fixing the little things before they become large things...It's regular maintenance and upkeep that keeps your saw running like it should.

Good video , . Do you still hang on to the old carb for parts . I know it is not easy rebuilding these carbs , even with the right carb kit it is only 60% chance of working . The price of new carbs has come down so much it not worth the money to rebuild carb any more . Looking forward to your live show .

Thanks, and normally the only thing I keep is the small screws from the carburetor. Always nice to have some extras!

Why not just get a full Carburetor kit, no need to change it.
