I'm dyslexic and I can't read anything in the game, all the text looks like a blobs if I don't scrape the screen with my nose and I don't have bad eyesight; Please give us the option for less bold fonts, I don't remember when was the last time I had so hard time reading.
This is my personal opinion, feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below: I'm thinking that the rival elimination doesn't feel as 'special' as other students yet. Sure, some of the other students are affected by this but, to me at least, it doesn't feel any different. What I think would fix this that instead of making it 'BAM, they're dead' I'd like to see a cutscene of the rival getting eliminated. Not necessarily with new animations but at least with some other angles/some parts of it in slow motion or also yandere chan's satisfied face when she sees her rival dead. I think that this would make the experience of eliminating the rival specifically better.
Yes! I mean, there is that cutscene where Ayano speaks to the rival after helping her with her issues, I think a physical killing one would be great too

While writing the story. Could you give Senpai some personality to make him interesting. He just seems too generic. I understand that the game is anime inspired, and he's supposed to be the generic male protagonist. But I can't understand how Ayano or the other rivals would fall for someone as bland and boring as he is.

I agree but if you've read the Webtoon "My Succubus girlfriend" the human love rival of Anastasia likes Izumo cuz he isn't loud and obnoxious like the other boys,He tends to be by himself,doesn't bother others in any way but is a reliable person if someone approaches him for help. The way she describes him as a person is the following : 1. Elegant. 2. Quiet. 3. Refined. See where it hits reality. Being a girl myself,I admit that boys who are too loud and obnoxious are really not the kind of boys girls usually prefer cuz they appear annoying. I love how the credits and menu is different if you are a pacifist or you killed someone. If think there should be an exclusive menu scene and credits if you don’t kill anyone at all when you beat the game when the final game releases. I would love to see an exclusive pacifist end that shows all the students graduating with nobody missing.

FE: If you kill all of your rivals, Sempai will think that he's cursed and perhaps he rejects you, because he would think, that you will die too, like other girls who he was with If you'll eliminate all rivals with matchmaking. Sempai just won't love women anymore. Befriend with everyone? Hm, I have no clue what will happen. What do you think about this?
The first rival should present a challenge, but Osana is the tutorial. If you change where everything is in the game (such as incinerator location, weapon location etc.) to where people who have been playing the game won't know how to find them quickly, then that'll make her less easy to defeat. The first rival's challenge should be "How do I use the game play mechanics?" with increasing difficulty later.
There are already tutorials in the game. So I don’t think there is a need for that, he also added specific steps when doing certain things players may not know.
I think it would be really cool if when you become friends with osana she’d appear next to yan-Chan sitting on the fountain and talking to her. It would also be really cool if befriending her was hard and had big payback if you do it like maybe keeping her alive and befriending her allowed you to do a lot of other things that help you eliminate other rivals

I personally think that Info Chan doesn't quite play a big role, this is just my opinion, but i feel like once you get to megami, she should play a different role than helping you kill your rivals, cause isn't the 9th rival senpai's sister? that's kinda f'ed up imo, and I think info would be the person to understand that much.

There's a cutscene at the end of the demo credits which leads me to believe the reason Info-chan is "helping" you so much is because she is now secretly working for Saiko corp and may want to settle things dealing with her father and ayano's mother. Mr Saiko is letting Ayano do the things she's doing and thus keeping his daughter away from the school till further notice, info-chan might be reporting activities to him. Definitely a fun theory to explore.
I personally feel that Osana's difficulty is perfect where it is. It is the first "mission" of the game. She is basically the tutorial. It SHOULD be easy as possible to eliminate her. It provides us with a learning point where we can test anything out. Sure, I guess Kokona is considered that. But I feel like Osana is a little more fun to experiment with.
I love the idea of schemes, but I hope that they don't limit the game in the sense of that being the only way to beat the game. Part of what makes Hitman fun is how you can come up with your own elimination methods.
I think schemes should be availible only once for every elimination method so you can come up with your own methods after learning how to do certain things. Moreover the difficulty will increase with future rivals so the challenge won't dissapeare😉👍

There is one thing i mostly dislike about this game. Idk this just annoys me, Osana and ribaru dont walk next to eachother.. i think they should walk next to eachother like the bully do when enterning school, this would make ribaru look more like a friend then an obsticle-

I’m not a creator of content or professional critic, but the demo seems pretty fun! My first time on, I thought to myself “I’m sure the dev must’ve missed something. And I’m sure it’ll keep me away from the demo for awhile.” But turns out, the demo is pretty fire!! I found nothing wrong with the demo and had blast sticking cyanide in Osanas bento. Personally, take your time YandereDev, I’ve played the demo countless of times and had fun every single time.
i’m confused because... you are replacing the character models with new character models, which means you probably need new rigs + maybe adjust the animations? so it’s not as simple as dropping in new rivals, esp because a lot of that happens in like a linear fashion
I love the demo of the game. I really want to get into coding so I can make a mod for this game as I have a few ideas/concepts for the game to make the game feel more lively. I’m honestly very excited to see more updates for Yandere simulator
Well, if the demo allows the game to be funded I expect animations etc to be made by hired professional and not volunteers (or at least said volunteers to get paid)

I really like the idea of Osana appearing differently on the title screen based on how you eliminated her. Those details I love about a game because it adds atmosphere and I can imagine say I eliminated her using the bullies and maybe on the title screen she probably is hanging cuz she couldn't take anymore of it. Makes me at the start of booting it up like "Whoa I did that? Geez I was harsh to her My Lord"
I’m glad Yandere Simulator is taking a long time. Because I like games that take me a long time to finish and that are really interesting. I don’t know why people get so annoyed that the game is taking a long time. I would rather have a good game then some rushed game.
im so happy this game is a step closer to being done. ive been playing the demo for a while now, and i won't lie, i once stayed up until 2 am hooked on the content. i left this game alone for about a year and a half before, which is why i was so surprised at the amount of things added. and don't get me started on the graphics and menus. im excited for this game. ♡
yandere dev if you need to find bugs or glitches or any other issues with yandere sim then just send the game to a few youtubers like kubzscouts. they'll find every bug and issue in the game in a few mins.
Im super excited for this and the demo looks AMAZING! However about the title screen differences... i think it would be better it was more subtle and organic in the background. For example, if osana is driven to suicide, just show a rope somewhere like if someone left it there (because i dont think that there really is a need to show the corpse). If she was arretesd by the police, leave some handcuffs. If she was eliminated with the matchmaking method, put her and the guy in the back with a red rope tied on there fingers, etc. Same for yandere-chan. If the player killed someone put a little bit of blood on her fingers, near her or behind the tree (sorry if theres some mistakes, english isnt my first language)
I had this random idea - what if Yandere Chan could find a specific point on the wall to climb down - this would benefit the player, as they could avoid being caught after doing things such as killing rivals or making shortcuts around the school, but would include a rhythm type mini game, bouncing from ledge to ledge, and would also become predictable to students who have witnessed you in the area before, as well as be slightly time consuming. This would probably be difficult to program, so I understand if you don’t want to add it. I just thought it’d be cool!
Yandere dev, I found a bug. I was wandering in the school to clean up blood and I saw Midori sitting on nothing, doing her homework. This also happened with one of the bullies.
During game development it is common for things to get adjusted, scaled back, or outright cut from the final product. (Even if temporary) In the event that the game's crowdfunding should struggle, and investors do not work out as anticipated, is their a chance we might see changes to the final scope of the game including but not limited to the number of rivals, elimination methods, and overall game content being cut or made into DLC in order to reach the completion of the game sooner?
I don't intend to reduce the scope of the game. I would consider that to be tantamount to failing to deliver on promised content. I do believe that I designed a game that is too ambitious for its own good. If I could travel back in time and design the game from scratch, I would definitely reduce the scope, and design a game that a single developer could feasibly make on his own. However, at this point, I've spent 6 years developing all of the content I've ever planned for the game, and now I've got a feature-complete demo that accurately represents my vision for the game, so reducing scope is no longer a consideration. At this point, reducing scope would just mean removing content, and there's no reason to do that. The only way in which scope might be reduced is to say "The final game won't have unique character models, any more voice acting, or any animations beyond the ones already created" which would definitely make the game look much lower in quality, but would allow it to be created on a shoestring budget.

So I played and here’s my feedback 1: Tons of fun, I did find a bug where osana wouldn’t do the phone call on Monday 2: Controls are a bit Janky (for keyboard at least) and I keep accidentally pushing osana off the roof while trying to talk to her 3: I got caught trying to set a water trap for info points, I was caught and sent to the counselor, but I couldn’t talk at all and was sent home Despite what little bugs this game had when I played, I had a ton of fun with it and I look forward to more murder and “tragic accidents” Keep it up! Edit: I had an idea after doing the matchmaking method If you matchmake osana or other students, you will develop a reputation as a matchmaker, and people will start asking you if you could matchmake them. sometimes, with your rival. Obviously, this would be op, so it would hurt your relationship with info-Chan, making her services more expensive since you are aren’t making people suffer the way she wants you to. let me know what you think!
How about if, you do a pacifist route or neutral and befriend a rival in some sort of way, like doing lots of favours or the befriend route, they would show up next to Ayano or wave at her from a distance.

I love the idea of schemes, but I hope that they don't limit the game in the sense of that being the only way to beat the game. Part of what makes Hitman fun is how you can come up with your own elimination methods.

I think schemes should be availible only once for every elimination method so you can come up with your own methods after learning how to do certain things. Moreover the difficulty will increase with future rivals so the challenge won't dissapeare😉👍

I'm happy the demo is here but I was maybe hoping that there could be an animation of Yandere-Chan walking or biking to school before bumping into Senpai
I’m not a creator of content or professional critic, but the demo seems pretty fun! My first time on, I thought to myself “I’m sure the dev must’ve missed something. And I’m sure it’ll keep me away from the demo for awhile.” But turns out, the demo is pretty fire!! I found nothing wrong with the demo and had blast sticking cyanide in Osanas bento. Personally, take your time YandereDev, I’ve played the demo countless of times and had fun every single time.
i’m confused because... you are replacing the character models with new character models, which means you probably need new rigs + maybe adjust the animations? so it’s not as simple as dropping in new rivals, esp because a lot of that happens in like a linear fashion

I love the demo of the game. I really want to get into coding so I can make a mod for this game as I have a few ideas/concepts for the game to make the game feel more lively. I’m honestly very excited to see more updates for Yandere simulator

Well, if the demo allows the game to be funded I expect animations etc to be made by hired professional and not volunteers (or at least said volunteers to get paid)

I really like the idea of Osana appearing differently on the title screen based on how you eliminated her. Those details I love about a game because it adds atmosphere and I can imagine say I eliminated her using the bullies and maybe on the title screen she probably is hanging cuz she couldn't take anymore of it. Makes me at the start of booting it up like "Whoa I did that? Geez I was harsh to her My Lord"

I’m glad Yandere Simulator is taking a long time. Because I like games that take me a long time to finish and that are really interesting. I don’t know why people get so annoyed that the game is taking a long time. I would rather have a good game then some rushed game.
im so happy this game is a step closer to being done. ive been playing the demo for a while now, and i won't lie, i once stayed up until 2 am hooked on the content. i left this game alone for about a year and a half before, which is why i was so surprised at the amount of things added. and don't get me started on the graphics and menus. im excited for this game. ♡
yandere dev if you need to find bugs or glitches or any other issues with yandere sim then just send the game to a few youtubers like kubzscouts. they'll find every bug and issue in the game in a few mins.

However about the title screen differences... i think it would be better it was more subtle and organic in the background. For example, if osana is driven to suicide, just show a rope somewhere like if someone left it there (because i dont think that there really is a need to show the corpse). If she was arretesd by the police, leave some handcuffs. If she was eliminated with the matchmaking method, put her and the guy in the back with a red rope tied on there fingers, etc.
Same for yandere-chan. If the player killed someone put a little bit of blood on her fingers, near her or behind the tree

I had this random idea - what if Yandere Chan could find a specific point on the wall to climb down - this would benefit the player, as they could avoid being caught after doing things such as killing rivals or making shortcuts around the school, but would include a rhythm type mini game, bouncing from ledge to ledge, and would also become predictable to students who have witnessed you in the area before, as well as be slightly time consuming.
This would probably be difficult to program, so I understand if you don’t want to add it. I just thought it’d be cool!

I was wandering in the school to clean up blood and I saw Midori sitting on nothing, doing her homework.
This also happened with one of the bullies.
During game development it is common for things to get adjusted, scaled back, or outright cut from the final product. (Even if temporary) In the event that the game's crowdfunding should struggle, and investors do not work out as anticipated, is their a chance we might see changes to the final scope of the game including but not limited to the number of rivals, elimination methods, and overall game content being cut or made into DLC in order to reach the completion of the game sooner?
I don't intend to reduce the scope of the game. I would consider that to be tantamount to failing to deliver on promised content.
I do believe that I designed a game that is too ambitious for its own good. If I could travel back in time and design the game from scratch, I would definitely reduce the scope, and design a game that a single developer could feasibly make on his own.
However, at this point, I've spent 6 years developing all of the content I've ever planned for the game, and now I've got a feature-complete demo that accurately represents my vision for the game, so reducing scope is no longer a consideration. At this point, reducing scope would just mean removing content, and there's no reason to do that.
The only way in which scope might be reduced is to say "The final game won't have unique character models, any more voice acting, or any animations beyond the ones already created" which would definitely make the game look much lower in quality, but would allow it to be created on a shoestring budget.

When I first saw this I thought he was joking but SHES FINALLY HERE
i noticed some typos on the subtitles for osana, just to let you know
So I played and here’s my feedback
1: Tons of fun, I did find a bug where osana wouldn’t do the phone call on Monday
2: Controls are a bit Janky (for keyboard at least) and I keep accidentally pushing osana off the roof while trying to talk to her
3: I got caught trying to set a water trap for info points, I was caught and sent to the counselor, but I couldn’t talk at all and was sent home
Despite what little bugs this game had when I played, I had a ton of fun with it and I look forward to more murder and “tragic accidents”

Edit: I had an idea after doing the matchmaking method
If you matchmake osana or other students, you will develop a reputation as a matchmaker, and people will start asking you if you could matchmake them. sometimes, with your rival.
Obviously, this would be op, so it would hurt your relationship with info-Chan, making her services more expensive since you are aren’t making people suffer the way she wants you to.

How about if, you do a pacifist route or neutral and befriend a rival in some sort of way, like doing lots of favours or the befriend route, they would show up next to Ayano or wave at her from a distance.
