      Not for one that old. I've bought two ambulances that I converted to RVs and both of them were late 90's, 7.3L, and with less than 200k miles for $6k. They were in worlds better shape than that old thing.

    Them thar ambulances are a hot item in the vanlife world. You can live in it and park it anywhere undercover and never get hassled by the cops. Could have got at least 5k for it. Maybe 30 if it's all built out

      I build vans and busses for a living. That thing is really old, late 80s early 90s at most. Doesn't run. Needs 6 new tires. And as a pro, ambulances are the worst. They have an extreme amount of wires everywhere and its hard to gut empty, but yes, They are "Retro cool" hipster whatever and built out yes anything is worth more once you throw a bed in it and a 200$ solar kit lol. Thats how I got started. Now I own a 2016 bus im selling in Denver right now for 21k.. fully converted. Yeah its a steal, but I'm all in at 13k total cost and it took me 10 days start to finish, by myself. I already had tools and pre ordered the water tank and accessories ahead of time

    • @MrTruthAddict
      @MrTruthAddict Před 3 lety +1

      @@Partnerthedog well I'm in one of the cities that recently outlawed overnight parking for certain vehicles. The ambulance won't get ticketed. That alone is worth a lot, considering one ticket is $200. I got 2 in one night once. The ambulance guy had no clue. He's probably still there

    • @Partnerthedog
      @Partnerthedog Před 3 lety +1

      @@MrTruthAddict yeah I totally understand that. San Francisco was my favorite city for many years and anything over 7 feet tall gets tickets at night... everything depends on where your at. My friend has a flatbed truck he made into a box truck with cheap ply wood and put landscaping on the side of it he never got hassled. I currently live in a 2016 Ford shuttle bus. Its all white and super clean so I dont get looked at twice. I also avoid san francisco now too

    • @kalel33
      @kalel33 Před 3 lety

      No way that's worth 5K. I've bought two running 7.3L diesel ambulances that were from the late 90's, lower mileage, and ran great for $6K. That thing was worth, at most, that $1k that guy paid.

      The main cars worth 5k+ just cleaned up, completely fixed up lots more, the truck he checked out is a rare one and even up and running he could steal another 6, 1k off that ambulance and flipping the rest and thats breaking even, doing some better business and putting money into your valuable cars and selling them off, he's making atleast 30% of that 15k back in profit

    He needs to work on his maths definitely 15,000 divided by 9 is roughly $1,600 a vehicle and how can he say he made a profit on the ambulance selling for 1k 🤦‍♂️😂

    • @AZdavid
      @AZdavid Před rokem

      Its not that hard to figure out. He probably made 40 grand plus selling all the other vehicles. Which means he didn't need to sell this ambulance for anything and he'd still make a profit. The money he made on the other vehicles are a lot higher than $1666. I understand math is hard for you but when you buy a package deal on cars, you add the profit of all the vehicles as a whole. Not what you made individually

  • @ocean_beast8654

      @@PsicosisYT - I'm not sure how well you understand math, but in the video he clearly tells you he bought X amount of cars for X amount of dollars. Then tells you he sold X amount of cars for X dollars. The basic math behind it is he paid roughly $1,666 per car. He sold those cars for around $1,000 per car. If you can explain to me how losing $666 is making a profit, I'd love to hear it, because in the real world that is known as a loss.
