- I went to a Photography/Culture event held by Eugene Tapahe who is a talented Navajo Photographer. It was a 5 year celebration of his work. Also a Women's Jingle Honor dance was held in honor of the Standing Rock movement and our Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women.

tears for what women have to endure.
But do they have to?
@@free22 Like their murderers are giving them a choice?
@@vixendoe2545 That is the whole point. Something must be done to investigate the murders. Women do not “have to” endure repeatedly unsolved murders.
@@free22 Some tribes have set up night patrols. Some have tried to provide taxi service. If the perps are white, very little has been done to bring any kind of justice to the victims.
@@vixendoe2545 A full criminal investigation and a taxi service are not remotely the same thing. Who would be responsible for investigations in this case?
Props to you pat just wanna say there are alot more cases of murdered native women that go unnoticed by mainstream media so whome ever out there reading this say a prayer for the families n freinds whome lost a love one due to circumstances beyond our controle. Once again thanx!

Prayers and tears from Germany and solidarity with the people of standing rock
🙏🏽🙌🏽✊🏽
Sitting here in tears, feel the pain, the loss, the crying Ancestors
This is a reason our children need education in law so they can help our miss women come home and make sure the ladies who are murder that person gets handled by there tribes and not the White man's court. Has an elder this is my feelings
I absolutely agree that murderers and abusers must be severely punished, and for that some of children should choose to be lawyers, policemen and judges. Until more than 50% of every indigenous people have degrees, life will be very hard.
Patrick, you are a Blessing born to make the world better. Thank you for bringing attention to the MMIW🙏🏽
Bro. 😭😭😭😭 this video hit my emotions so hard.
I cannot stress how much of a great video this was pat!! Thanks for sharing this!
Thank You Natalie! This was a great event and I'm glad I got to experience it along with the other spectators.

All my prayers for the families and communities who still search and suffer in search for closure and justice..
I really love your words and your ideas. I wish that there were more people in this world that use social media with respect and with strong and positive messages.
Thank you for sharing this with us. You're the only person I've ever seen who has mentioned this issue. It's never in the media and what few natives I have ever known and what all I've ever seen via internet and tv have never even pointed towards this problem. I'll be keeping these ladies in my prayers and be keeping them in mind when I go to Colorado (found out this organization is in Boulder). Thank you once again for informing us. Much love bro! 😙
Colorado!
In my opinion, the reason it is never on the nationwide media is that most of the news organizations assume it is a highly local issue [ that only people in the state where she went missing would care to hear news of the search ] or a Native only issue. It is making the mistake that only Native Americans care about missing Native women.
Chihiro Sen, I have seen it, on TV, a few times. More than one show about it. I lived in WA State the first time, so late 90s, early 2000. They said it's been a bad problem, at that time, along this one route, on up into Canada. That particular show was about a lot of girls that were just disappearing, they were speculating a serial killer. But it has been so many, so long, the next I heard about it, I was in New Mexico, (Albuquerque), in 2004? I think. This show said it was so wide spread, they thought it was Trafficking. The last news type show I saw on it, just a couple years ago, (here, I live in Kingman AZ, but the program was done mostly in Montana) watched said it was, they thought, a mixture of issues. Some places are 'hunting grounds' because they are isolated. Trafficking, same, but they said domestic abuse is also a big problem. And, the channel 'Beau of the Fiffh Column' has mentioned it. He is a journalist, now more a teacher. He was also at Standing Rock. So just know, some of us care! 🥰✌😷🎃
Yes! I couldn't even find any info RE: The Heart March, Vancouver, B.C. this year - not even mentioning cancellation because of pandemic or anything.

This was a very beautiful event. Thank you Patrick for addressing the MMIW in your vlog. I was there with my MMIW+of Utah campaign crew tabling. You’re inspiring. Keep up the awesome work!
Patrick on Indian Time: “Actually, I’m just gonna take my time!” 😂 But seriously on a solemn note... prayers for all the missing & murdered Indigenous Women 😔🙏🏼😞😢 Creator, please comfort the families & friends of missing & murdered Indigenous Women. Only you can guide & provide for the spirits of these women. Our deepest thoughts & desires are that you... our Great Creator, will bring the missing back to their homes safely. That you Great Creator will guide the spirits of the murdered to everlasting peace w/you. Creator bring your strong 💪🏼 arm of justice to the person(s) responsible for these heinous & heartbreaking stories of what has happened to the missing as well as the murdered Indigenous women. Your protection is pure & your vengeance is sure. Offerings of sage & smoke for these women. 🕊
I was going to make a comment but I wasn’t sure how it be taken as every tribe speaks differently. You said exactly what I was thinking on every subject ❤️🕊
I am very sad to say that I have never even heard of this as an issue in this country. It makes me angry that media doesn't cover it. It makes me so incredibly sad that it's happening. I wonder if they are being trafficked? I will definitely be praying specifically for these women daily from now on. I'm sitting here crying in my safe bed, and it's not fair that these women are being abused this way...😢😭🥺😭
They will only cover it if ur black or LGBTQ.
@@N8iveUSA510 I just don't understand how they can justify that? How can they scream equality, and not see how hypocritical this is?
Conversation with Kat yes, they have found indigenous women and children being sex trafficked in the mancamps at oil fields and at the ports around the Great Lakes.
@@N8iveUSA510 missing and murdered Black women and girls are not covered in the media. I learn their stories the same way I've learned about MMIW - through following Native and Indigenous peoples on social media. There's also a huge problem with femicide in Mexico - again not covered by the media. Women from these groups need to band together and bring these crimes to light.
@@N8iveUSA510 That's rarely covered, too. It all is. A young 12yo Black girl(Chrystul Kizer) was able to escape and murder the man who ran her sex trafficking ring and they put _HER_ in jail because she dare murder a White man. The problem is a system that sees all of us as lesser people, ignores all of us, and encourages these crimes.
I was stopped by a guy outside of my job at 3am. He thought I wasn't paying attention and waited for me in his car until I ran back inside for help. Have a feeling he was a possible trafficker/kidnapper. I constantly think about all of the kids and women who never made it. And how the men(and their women) that run this system could care less, and find ways to cover it all up. I'm constantly fucking infuriated that I can't do much in my situation but raise awareness. I believe the main reason why we're even slightly noticed is because we're closer to the issue(more closely mixed into the population) and we will raise noise about it. Seeing how every ethnicity spoke up and made sure our voices were heard together last year gives me a bit of hope.
I pray every indigenous woman is found safely.. it brakes my heart to know how many are in pain and missing
I know I'm late to watching this but this was moving. I always cry when I think about the missing &murdered native women or hear about how we don't matter. I just want to say thank you for bringing it to attention. So,thanks Patrick.
Late isn't never. ♡
I cried. Thank you so much for this vlog. I dance old style jingle and this was so beautiful to watch. I also vlog but mine aren’t as fancy as yours lol.
We are a resilient people,
we have strong ancestors.
I found out my grandmother x3 was of the shawnee tribe in Oklahoma we dont know how she came to be moved to Europe as that's where my mum was born... but my heart has always been drawn to first nation america. I stand for MMIW x love, tears and healing from New Zealand
I just found your channel. I’m of indigenous Maori decent in New Zealand. This video was powerful, thank you for sharing it. Kia Kaha (stay strong)
NZ is so beautiful. I lived there a year, & met many beautiful people. 💜
It's good that y'all memorialize the women and girls you lost through song and dance and it's very powerful and emotional to watch. Despite the fact that I'm probably not Native at all (I haven't checked, lol), I still have a great love and respect for the culture and music. Peace and love from Douglasville, Georgia. ❤️🙏
My heart goes out to you. As a woman I know how difficult this world can be. Keep sharing these beautiful moments with us. It keeps the joy, and gives us strength.🙏💚💚
I cried. This was beautiful, but so sad at the same time.
This is beautiful 😥 thanks for using this platform to help make a change
Happy to see them together... healing is unity.. unity is power.. all these things together can heal anything...
one thing that just hurts. those red bandanas are a women/girl.
I'm not first nations, but my heart goes out to your people all across Canada and america. Your people have endured a lot and still do today.
This video surely got me emotional... so beautiful❤
What I great cause! I'm sad we even have to see that happen to women & children. Thanks for sharing. Keep on keeping on
Absolutely love the dancing and singing it literally gives me goosebumps ❤️ ....your humour is great Patrick enjoyable to watch! Be safe my sisters (and brothers) bless ❤️
The native Americans were supposed to inherit the earth.Just think how beautiful we would be with them as the earths stewards. These people are precious and loving. We must stop the murders now!!!!!!
We lift up our sufferings in baskets of clay. Heal them.

I rest my head in comfort only to hear the cries of those women who were ripped from theirs. May we never stop hearing them say, "I am no longer with you, but hear my cry in the silence and know that I am not truly gone for I am in all things. The cold and clear mornings and the golden sunsets. I am in the wind and rain and the silence that is deafening only when you are not listening. I am in the tall sweetgrass and the winding streams. When you have your children I am in their newborn cries and I fill their footprints in the unforgiving ground. I will watch over you all until all those who are missing come home to rest. I will never forget you so please do not forget me."
For all of the indigenous women who are now in all things, may you know that we will never forget you.

Oh wow. That was moving.
This was deep and very emotional. Ahe'hee for sharing. 👊🏽
This breaks my heart (MMIW). Pass it on, it should be on everyone's lips. Thank you for telling about this.
Great dancers, awesome singing and beautiful costumes ❤️🙏
thank you so much for putting eyes on this movement. you have a beautiful soul.
This definitely makes me want to vlog more. Editing is dope.
Yesssss. We need you to come back! Or we could even make a video!
Prayers for indigenous women. Great show. Thanks.
Red skin girl is like the best song ever!
The snow during the women’s dance just added such a special touch to the beauty of it.
missing, murdered indigenous women in canada is a prominent problem for decades as well. residential schooling was a huge mistake and destroyed family and tribal values. being the resilient people they are, thank God, they are growing back to be a huge healing community for all of us canadians.
Ugghhh this made me cry!!!🥺😭Much alohas from Hawai’i 🤙🏾💯
Thank you for letting me see this beautiful gathering with the dancing and singing. Tears for missing and murdered indigenous woman.
This is beautiful. Please remember that the official number of MMIW only counts Native women who are recognized members of recognized tribes. The woman whose blood quantum is too low to be "a tribe member" according to BIA still has family who are Tribal. The woman whose Tribe is not recognized will be listed as white out here in Seattle (this includes the Duwamish and other Coast Salish whose land supports the cities around the Salish Sea). Prayers for the forgotten sisters.
Beautiful..God Bless the Missing Women.. God bless all of those still Standing.. Mni Wiconi..🙏(Standing Rock💖)
How heartbreaking! The video of the women and the little girls dancing was just beautiful. Just speechless at the violence these women have to endure.
I just found your videos and I love them! I am from Standing Rock and this was amazing! ❣️ Thank you!
Powerful! Thank you so much for sharing
Its one of the many reasons your culture is so beautiful. The respect and honour you show to women is inspirational.
❤❤❤
This is your best yet, thank you for bringing light to this cause.
Just found this video and I hardly ever save any videos but this one I saved. This touched my heart and soul.
This hit me right in the heart
Made me cry 😭
It was beautiful
Smoke and prayers up for all the MMIW and all their families. Beautiful video, Patrick. Thank you.

Love your dancing. Prayers to all the families of all the missing and murdered women. May God bless you.
Скъпи коренни жени, пазете се една друга и нищо не премълчавайте.❤❤❤
Patrick, this was amazing. I would have loved to buy some art. Is there a web site they set up for sales during this event ?
Keeping tradition alive. Beautiful and inspiring.
I’m not Native, but my parents taught me to respect the culture and learn as much as possible. They took me to powwows and to listen to story tellers. I watch these videos when I’m home sick and missing them. Thank you .
Awesome video, thank you for sharing, our people, our women are strong, the women in my life, my mom, my grandma, my sister's, my daughter's and my girlfriend, they are my rock. People tend to take the women in their lives for granted, hurt, holler n abuse them. Thank you once again
I hope this problem gets recognised and solved very soon...it's outrageous that the Native women have so little protection.
Tears for the loss of the missing and murdered indigenous women. The ceremony was beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
Every time I hear the beautiful music I cry. It's so beautiful.
Powerful!!! Had the chills
No more stolen Sisters!
Love to all of the families!
I've only been subscribed for a few months, but This is my favourite video you've ever done, Patrick (and I like all your videos) it brought tears to my eyes, and my, what a privilege to see you dance, thank you. I've always been fascinated and had a deep respect for the people and culture of all First Peoples, but it wasn't until I watched the film Wind River that I found out just how many native people, esp women, are missing or murdered and the cases never solved. It really shocked and upset me, so to see all of you supporting the jingle dance women and the cause, made my heart swell 💗
Tears, Respect, LOVE from an African in Belgium. 1 Family 🙌🏾
Hi Patrick, I recently subscribed to your channel and have been loving the videos! I want to say THANK YOU so much for making this particular video to bring awareness to a harsh, cruel reality. I participated in something similar in Tlaquepaque, Jalisco, Mexico to bring awareness to the very same nature of this video, breaking the silence of abuse against women. It means so much that men are participating in this and I am so glad that you are using your amazing talents to speak out against this crippling nature of humanity .
TEARS. Way to shed some light on this epidemic our women and children face across Canada and the U.S. ❤👊❤👊❤
POWERFUL!!! They all have my prayers🙏🙏🙏🙏
Super powerful stuff, Patrick. I was sobbing watching the dancers, especially when I heard that they were honoring the Standing Rock dancers who did it in -25 and with snipers around. Thank you so much for sharing!!!!
It made me cryhow beautiful it was and the dancing and singing.
PATRICK You won that dance IMHO- You bring great honor to all those before- 🙌 On You
So glad that native languages are being reclaimed and spoken aloud again for all to hear.
Patrick, this was such a touching and beautiful vlog. I completely love the Grandmother's Song. It is amazing. Do you know where one can purchase the red scarves commemorating the murdered and missing native women? Thank you.💗
I too have never heard of this either. Thank you for bringing to my attention.
I want to come!!! I love that song in the beginning of your video!!! I do videos on MMIW I'd love to collab with you guys or just support you in anyway I can!!
I am so glad that I found your channel, Patrick. Nice work.
Brought me to tears.
I moved from AZ to Missouri and you help me to keep ties to the land where I feel most comfortable. This made me cry. May all of those whose bones rest in the ground help to change what is, to what could be. Blessings and Prayers. Thank you for sharing.
Really stunning, powerful dancing, art, costumes, & music. 💓
You are honoring all women that have lost their lives to senseless murders. There are many grandmothers, mothers, daughters, sisters and aunties that are survivors of horrendous abuse at the hands of evil in this world. It is through sharing these tragic happenings that awareness of injustices can bring strength to our people. I love you all!
Wow. Your channel is incredible. All of your content! Thank you for shining your light on missing and murdered Indigenous women. That Honor dance was deeply beatiful. ✨✨✨✨ it moved my soul.

Had no idea you were so talented Patrick. Prayers for all the women. The sooner we can all join hands and start looking out for each other the sooner we can take get back to living our lives as they were meant to be. Don't let your women walk alone. We all need to look out for each other.
Watching just after the 215 children have been found at Kamloops. Of all the videos you have made, that I have watched, this one sticks to my heart.
The snow made it even more magical.
