    make sure you put CA glue in all 4 corners and you wont get the fall off corner issue. This is a GREAT idea for making scales the same thickness and parallel THANK YOU!

    This is awesome and I wish I could do this but I don't have one of these saws or the money to buy one.
    I do have a chainsaw but obviously that would be an absurd way of doing this lol. On that note; I came across some *beautiful* quilted Oak burl that I plan to use for my handles and so that's why I'm looking for ways of splitting it and getting the most out of it.
    I'd had an idea for placing some machine screws through some plywood and using a double-nut approach to adjust the height of a single hacksaw blade above the plywood so that the space between the hacksaw blade and plywood would be the thickness of the scale.
    The problem with this is that I would be taking the wood-to-the-blade and moving the wood back-and-forth which leads me to believe the cut wouldn't be accurate.

    Can you cut micarta on a miter saw?
