Having been watching since 2017 or so, all I can really say is, Dave follows the money and memes. It's normal for him to try something every few months that ends up completely changing the feel of his stream. I've seen at least a dozen 'little changes' like these warp his stream a couple of times a year and he's going to follow the dollars, not the desires of a few fans. He's really good at pretending like he's about the fans though, huh?
I think if Dave was following the dollars he wouldn't be giving so much to charity, and would probably be doing ads in his videos. He doesn't even seem very focused on growing his channel; subs on CZcams have been right around 623k for almost a year now.
Also I got the name Dafu-kio (which isnt family friendly in origins lol.) from my Mii-s upside-down head.

I like to go into very remote and rural McDonald's on a dark foggy morning. Arrive 20 min before they open. Be sure to dress in period correct but slightly out of place clothing, such as a jumpsuit and rubber boots. Then when they open buy whatever newspaper is out front, then place an order from like 50 years ago I go with an eat in, big breakfast eggs up and runny, half bacon half sausage, sub o.j. for coffe, and ask for a jar of syrup. While they are in shock take out a highlighter and start marking dates and headlines in the newspaper. If u have an accomplice have them break out an old road map and ask how to get to some old county road. Finish ur food. Pay w cash only, don't forget to use exact change. Then just leave wo answering any questions about what ur doing, where ur from and where ur going in any depth at all. What are you doing, road trip, where from, the Midwest, where u going, heading east.

original FF7 speedrun time is anywhere from 1.5 to 6.5 hours depending on what platform its on (one clearly has a huge skip that saves 5 hours lol)

I love how Nintendo has made so many versions of Mario and the people keep demanding them, that Nintendo ran out of ideas and then just gave us to program so we could make our own damned levels.
And yet now we demand a better version of the level creator.
We demand being able to spin with items again in mario maker 3 and mid air shell jumps again

Noone who makes mario maker levels 'programs' anything. Same with the vast majority of romhacks. If you made your haha 'hack' with Lunar Magic, for example, you are a script kiddie and did 0 programming and 0 hacking.
You are half right though. People are never satisified and with the toxic environment bred by social media these days, everyone is a critic so it's easy to just blame Nintendo for their own shortcomings.

No one ever said the creators were programming the game themselves.

Amazon LoTR suffered because they "wanted to tell their own story" but decided to do that with existing characters. It suffered because they were horrible writers that cared more about an agenda than writing a good story. It was terrible because the worldview they shoe horned into the show had no truth behind it so it had no relatability or meaning for viewers to grasp. In short, it suffered because it was trash.

As someone who is running a supposedly family friendly channel, you would think he'd also be nicer to his wife especially in front of the camera. Others have even called him out mid stream about how he should be nicer to his wife. Just saying.
