I just refilled this pen yesterday and kept the same ink b/c I love it!!
I felt the same way when they put out their video asking for preorders. I was happy to support such an amazing business. I also decided to keep the Home pen as it came. I loved the more muted gold tone. I thought it tied better with the colorway. I couldn’t agree with your sentiments more.

Sailor is my absolute favorite nib on any fountain pen (with Pilot being a close second). My favorite inks happen to also be in the browns and golds color family. I highly recommend KWZ’s Honey ink. It is also slightly scented which adds some fun! I think you’d love it.

I like the gold colour of “your” pen better. I love stroke of midnight by FWP so much I bought the 85ml bottle! I, too, fell in love with it after putting it in a matching pen. LOL and I put pelikan brilliant brown in my TWSBI 580 rose gold. I am curious to see how the shimmer ink performs in your beautiful pen!

The 'Origin' pen was my first foray into Sailor pens and I love the M-F nib in that. It writes so well. So it looks like you'll be completing your incredible collection of Yoseka pens if you do get one 👍🏻😄I went for that one for that green colour, just superb. There is just something about Yoseka green that I really like too. I also get what you mean about the team there at Yoseka, there is just something about them being so genuinely nice people that just care. Very hard to find sometimes. Hopefully I'll be dragging the wife there (NYC) from the UK next May when we go as I'm the mad addictive stationery one in our home so I have a list of places I am going.😆
I'm so tempted to use my credit from this pen and put it toward the Origin pen! The green looks perfect!! Have fun in NYC! It is a stationery playground! I'm hoping to get back to Brooklyn before Christmas. I loved the Fountain Pen Hospital too!! I need to hit Lamy on my next visit! Thanks for watching!

Gorgeous ink combo! I also put a brown ink in my Home pen and adore it. I have a few Sailor Medium nibs and I have noticed depending on the juiciness of the ink, it can come off more like a Sailor Broad nib. And other times it’s a bit thinner - super interesting and fun to test out!

That’s interesting that you’ve had issues with Olive Swirl. I keep it permanently inked in my Fine-nibbed Sailor Pro Gear Gin Martini. I’ve never had an issue with it. When you have issues with shimmer inks, do you floss the tines or prime your feed? I find sometimes it has so much shimmer in the feed after a fresh inking I have to do that; though I’ve been lucky not to have that issue with Olive Swirl.
That Cocoa Shimmer is gorgeous though! I Guess Im adding another ink to my wish list.
I started with Dusted Truffle in my Home Pen.
And I bought all three pens. I didn’t know how much I’d like the Origin but it’s gorgeous in person. I’m glad I went for it.
I am dying to connect with Olive Swirl! I love that ink. I need to give it another try, maybe in a broader nib. The broad nib made a huge difference in FWP Stroke of Midnight. I love that in my refresh. Thanks for the push. I'm going to find something TONIGHT that works for that Olive Swirl! #determined
