  • In this video I demonstrate how to achieve my personal favorite rolling mill texture. The texture makes copper look like leather! It is so pretty. I then demonstrate how to use the PotterUSA dish formers and hydraulic press to turn my textured copper into a trinket dish.

Beautiful work, Lynette! You’re so creative! I love this! Where did you find your thicker urethane?

Thanks for a great video. If you texture silver do you worry about the aluminum affecting the silver?

What gauge metal do you find works the best for you? I just order my silhouette die and now I need to order some metal. Thanks, I always like to have an idea of what I am doing before I do it.

Fun. Can you tell me what the yellow things are at the top and bottom of your mill? Are they to keep your wheels clean?

Oil impregnated foam, stops the rollers rusting, many Jewellers and metal smiths do this.

Yes, it’s a large sponge from Home Depot that I coated in oil to clean and oil my rollers each time I use the mill.

Thanks for the video. Wish there was'nt the irritatting repetitive loop of music in the background. Stressful. It's nice to watch tutorials that are more calming. That was a grueling loop to listen too.

I strongly suggest you sandwich all that in cardboard or a folder or a bunch of pages so that your rollers won't get marks. They are expensive to replace!

Nothing I am using here will mark up the rollers. Sandwiching is unnecessary. They are case hardened tool steel.
