Honestly, I have been sleeping so much on the Chevrolet Tahoe. It's actually kind of dangerous and deadly how much I have overlooked this SUV. This was the first SUV that my family had and owned and we all could fit comfortably within its cabin interior. After today, it will be on my radar as a vehicle of interest.

GM is doing everything right with this truck. I love that you get a big clunky shifter rather than that gay ass volume knob shifter FCA and Ford uses nowadays. I drove a brand new RAM and that is the most counter intuitive tacky thing I ever experienced on a car.

This RST might be a tick faster than a Denali or Expedition Platinum, but is not near worth the price asked.

Maybe, but if you look at resale, I think it would be a good decision longterm. 2009 Tahoe's with the 6.2L are still $20k+, way more than any Expedition or anything European. These Tahoe RST's are going to be pretty rare as well, and I'd expect to have very similar strong resale value.
That's on top of the Tahoe's already fairly strong resale value. GM trucks and truck-based SUVs tend to hold their value really well.
95mushroom that’s not the best of reasons to get one, unless you want to garage it for 10 years and wait for a market on it. For an optioned on at 80k you could have a much better appointed Denali, which is a better place to sit in with the same powertrain.
The differences are pretty negligible if we're being perfectly honest. I sit in Tahoes and Yukon just about every day; I work Internet sales/marketing/photography for a Chevy dealer that also deals a lot in certified GMCs/Buicks. Only GM brand we can't certify is Cadillac; that goes for most Chevy/Buick/GMC dealers since they want the exclusivity. Anyhow, at the end of the day, put the two interiors side by side and the average person in society won't see a difference at all.
I wonder who's idiotic idea at GM it was to have the reverse lights come on when the car is locked/ unlocked. How something as dumb as this was able to pass through the DOT beats me... Still aggravates me whenever I'm trying to find a spot to park in a lot, and I'm sitting there waiting for the guy to back out, only for the reverse lights to shut off with no one inside!

The 6.2 should be the base engine in that thing. It’s not fast. The RST should have the LT4.
5.7 seconds from 0 to 60 is pretty quick for a stock tahoe.
