    2:16 onwards really reminds me of Borodin's Polovtsian Dances, really beautiful.

    Charming piece! Definitely needs to be played more often, though pretty tricky, a lot of figurations. It would also work perfectly well at slightly slower tempi

    the poco agitato (2:58), Rehearsal number 2 of the third movement (14:36), and the feroce in the 4th movement (21:30) all rank in my top 5 excerpts from any classical piece I've ever listened to

    great stuff. how come I've never heard of Glière?
