Main Verse: Matthew 19:4 “…at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’[a] 5 and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh 6 So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
God designed sex within the context of marriage as an expression or celebration of a covenant between a husband and wife.
Prov. 29:18 - Where there is no VISION, the people cast off restraint.
When you don’t know that God has a great destiny and a purpose for your life, it is too easy to cast off restraint. Understanding your value and the vision God has for you will help keep you from compromise.
Steps for maintaining purity:
1. PUT UP GUARDRAILS - protect yourself and put yourself in position to win.
2. FILL YOURSELF - spend more energy on filling your heart with God's Word and His presence.
