  • In this Rhino Grasshopper Tutorial, I will model an Islamic Geometric pattern and make it parametric by defining moving lines and making a polar array from the main Unit. First, we will study the pattern and how we can make it as easy as possible and then we will start modeling it in Grasshopper.

    Great video! I was wondering how you could do an extrusion of that pattern with some width

      @ParametricHouse  Před 5 lety +1

      🙏You can offset the curves and use boundary surface , extrude to make it happen!

    i cant draw boundary around the pattern using brep wireframe command .

      You're welcome. Try holding shift to add multiple inputs

    Thank you for this great tutorial! I have a little question, how we can added some thickness on the pattern? I tryed to make this but the lines are disconected. Thank you in advance!

    Hi! Im trying to make panels on a hexagonal surface, but the panels dont keep the hexagonal shape, instead they turn on a rectangle... Could you help me please? As an exercise Im makin the Orquideorama by Plan B architects... thanks!!

    Hi, when i offset the pattern the lines tend to open up and not have connected corners, what can i do about that?

    • @ParametricHouse
      @ParametricHouse  Před 5 lety

      Hi split the surface with curves and try offseting the boundaries. You can also use a negative number for offset

      @@ParametricHouse Sorry i can't understand the first part, also even when i offset with a negative number i still get open corners.
      is there another platform i can contact you through so i can send you screenshots?
