OK, so I read somewhere that Sweet Caroline is one of the highest-used songs at Karaoke around the world.
Well when I hear something like that I hear the word "challenge."
It's like someone threw the gauntlet down to see who can get closest.
So I got out my bell bottom pants, my tie die shirt, and threw my hat in the ring.
I have always loved Neil, not just for his passionate voice, but also for his amazing songwriting.
I think I got pretty close. What say you!

Hey Ken my mom was in a band before I was born and she open my music knowledge from Beethoven Dave Clark Five The Beatles Simon and Garfunkel and I loved being able to get to listen to all the different music genres with Neil Diamond Kenny Rogers and not just saying that I'm just a hard rock person or this person but I am just open-minded to listening to other things and what want to be a vocal teacher to people because you are awesome and very talented and very knowledgeable and people are lucky to have you as a teacher

I love you are so happy every time you sing. I have quite simply never seen anything like it.
Do you know some opera singers like Tito Schipa, Beniamino Gigli, or Renata Tebaldi, Ebe Stignani, Claudia Muzio...They sung really, really well. I winder if you like Ken if you'd like them. He talks a lot about bel canto or opera singing in general, but doesn't show that much of it (obviously, that's what he aims to teach). I reccomend "Poveri Fiori" with Muzio and "Che gelida manina" with Schipa just to listen and think if you just might like it.

Hell yeah. Proof is definitely in the singing Ken. Everyone knows this song. If there is a standard for the casual singer, it'd be this song for sure. As you said, Neil Diamond is a passionate singer and song writer extraordinaire. His stories, his songwriting and his voice makes for a powerful mixture....I've always liked 'Brother Love's Travelling Salvation Show', needs that Gospel choir backing it though.... Maybe you should get the girls together.... :)

Its a non issue IMO, you’re gonna sound like yourself. You can say “Wow, Ken sounds like Neil Diamond here.” but that’s ‘only’ bc he can, he has the ability, which is a great thing.
Even pros who try to mimic others in tribute bands sound like themselves to an experienced ear underneath it all. 🙌🏼

OK so this one did it. With talent such as this I said this guy has got to be famous, so I looked ya up. Yeah, after all this time I finally got around to it, and sure enough, you have been gifted and blessed your entire life. Kudos to you my friend, you're totally awesome! Thank you! I've been working hard all of my life. I wasn't nearly called "gifted" when I started out. They wouldn't even let me near the mic in my first bands. I went out and sought training from every well-known vocal teacher in the Los Angeles area. Eventually I did start to get better and better. I have been at this for a long time. Thanks for taking the time to look into who I am and what I have done. I appreciate your Kudos very much, my friend!

Awesome vocals and great advice. You are so right about setting the mark high and trying to do what other artists do. One of the very things that helped me become a good pianist was chasing after some of the best pianists of our time. Great vocals Ken. Neil Diamond wasn't the perfect vocalist but not many can cover him as well as you did.
Neil is an icon of our times. He lights people afire and sets them free in their spirits. It's cool to be able to even approximate what he does, as far as lifting people up and making them happy.
