This is one style I wish had never faded. The early-mid 90's had great dance songs like this.
It’s been brought back as of late kinda
House Music is alive and well!
Yes it reminds me of how much this never was tiring.
The 90's had the best house music.
1993. 21 at university and part time jobs near London. 1988-1994 were great days.
This was so big back in the 90s. The clubs were wild when this came on. Robin S delivers a powerhouse vocal performance: strength, vulnerability, and passion.
We use to tear up the dance floor for days to this song! With a whoop whoop thrown in for good measure! Loved it 💕
…..got to see her sing this live at the Bahama Beach Club in Malden Mass. back in the early 90’s 🔥🔥🔥she came out at midnight and brought the club down.
Not just clubs, it was skating rinks for me when I was a kid!
I KNEW YOU WOULD LOVE THIS SONG!!! This was a club banger, and it still holds up! Thanks for the reaction! ❤
Women artists during this time were the best! A lot with that powerful gospel-like voice. And they had more respect on how they presented themselves.
Yes! These ladies were class acts. We don't see that any more. I certainly don't mean that negatively toward the artists today. But, the ladies I grew up listening to were all class and pure singing talents. I miss that.
En vogue is another great example of classy and sexy at the same time.
This song packed the dance floor!!! People would literally scream when it came on!
still does!
You damn right!
Honestly I’m only 17 and I’m from the Uk and we still listen to this song every summer. It’s still really popular at parties, fair grounds etc :)
Tik Tok influence, perhaps? ✌🏽
@@gabrielmcdonnell8699 Nope I don’t think I’ve ever heard this song on tiktok, it’s just what we listen too. It’s always on the radio aswell.
One of the queen divas of 90's house 🔥🔥🔥🕺💃
After disco, the early 90's dance music was 🔥!! "Finally" by Ce Ce Penniston is another banger. Cathy Dennis "touch me", Haddaway "lady don't hurt me". ✌️
Do you mean what is love?
@sarablack2547 yes!! Thanks, doy!! 🤦♀️
Cathy Dennis had a few bangers, and she also turned into quite a successful songwriter in the 2000s, writing hits for Katy Perry, Britney Spears, and Kylie Minogue.
@@speedyhairyson no probs.i figured you knew it.he does repeat it prob more than the actual title?
Thank you for listing all the awesome songs that I used to get out on the dance floor at the clubs and dance my ass off to. Great memories.
Late 80s to mid 90s dance club songs were so good. You should keep going on that genre.
This was HUGE in the UK and was always on the radio, still is today depending on the radio station lol. Her growl is soooo good
When ever this song came on Everybody got up on the dance floor it definitely was a huge hit
You ain’t lying I was out there too on the dance floor when this song came on at da club
The dance clubs were on fire in the 90's with this song!
Yes and all the other bad ass songs that others have mentioned! Great memories of getting out there and shaking what your mama gave you!
Yessssssssss
This song is 3 decades old and makes me feel so old lol, this was HUGE and rocked every big club and party on the planet back then, absolute classic.
Oh hell ya! 90s.
House music 🕺
Came from 80s too. Music style.
This song was 1990. So yes. This music was popular in both 80s and 90s.
Sonique "It Feels So Good" (2000)
Y'all, that's my jam 🔥🔥🔥
That song, and production emerged from the gay house music scene and era. It's still a solid bop decades later.
Her voice is ICONIC.
The microphone catching the squeaks from your chairs while you were both chair dancing, 😂 that's truly precious to hear!
The 1990 s was the pinnacle of dance music especially in the U.K. and europe this particular song was remixed many times and still hit the charts
Another disco/funk diva you guys should definitely check out is, Evelyn "Champagne" King. Her top songs, "Shame", "Love Come Down", "I'm in Love".
The 90s Club Scene was so huge that songs like this, that were meant for "the clubs", just became huge mainstream hits! This song is Top 10 for sure of the entire decade when it comes to dance music! In that's in a decade that put out some of the biggest dance songs in history! Need I even need to mension "Insomnia" by Faithless? Or "Gonna Make You Sweat" by C&C Music Factory? On top of that, that keyboard bells riff that drives the song has been sampled so much, that it's almost absurd! Go to any dance club today, and people still to this day scream as soon as they hear that iconic riff!!!!
Robin S is amazing! Crystal Waters is another great artist in this genre. 100% Pure Love is a certified BANGER!
And "Gypsy Woman"
Don't forget CeCe Peniston
Ahhhh memories! Such a good tune!
Robin S, Sybil & Chrystal Waters is still big in Cape Town Flats South Africa. They perform almost yearly over here and tickets are always sold out. Every weekend you will still see and hear partygoers dance to this music. The 90's never stopped in Cape Town.
Love this song, what an absolute BANGER! A huge hit in the UK! If you're still looking for that 80s vibe, you're gonna LOVE LOVE LOVE Blind Vision by Blancmange!
Keep diving into 90s dance music, C&C music factory with EVERYBODY DANCE and Blackbox with EVERYBODY EVERYBODY, try and see if you recognize the lead female vocalist, you loved her in the Weather Girls
What an utter bop
90s dance music is leaps and bounds better than the EDM the kids listen to today! Banging beat and such a voice!
Yesssss!
Absolutely true!!!
and NEVER EVER goes out of style!! I keep 80s and 90s on replay
Yessss
This song reminds me of a bunch of other dance tunes from that same period: "(I Wanna Give You) Devotion" by Nomad from 1991, "Finally" by Ce Ce Peniston from 1991 (which you've already done), "Gypsy Woman" by Crystal Waters from 1991, "Strike It Up" by Black Box from 1991, "Movin' On Up" by M People from 1993, etc.
Loved all of them. And then Heather Small from M People had her song "Proud" a decade later.
I second all of these suggestions! Such an amazing time for dance clubs! Black Box one of my faves, also N-Joi's "Anthem".
It's that Korg M1 :D
House music❤❤❤❤❤
Late 80s too.
Oh now yes!!!!
Great dance song!!!!
"Love for Love" is another great song!
This was definitely a club banger back then. And no, "everything but the kitchen sink" isn't strictly southern we use that on Canada as well.
Straight up 90s club music. I was a kid when this came out so I wasn't running around clubbing but they did play this song at our dances in middle school an all that. She just has that voice that matches well with the instrumental beats. I have it on my dance playlist, it's such a fun song. I'd suggest C&C Music Factory's "Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)" and one of my favorites, MC Hammer's "U Can't Touch This" and "Too Legit To Quit". Don't care what anyone says I love me some MC Hammer. 😂😎👍
Still waiting on Phyllis Hyman (Living All Alone) , Jennifer Holiday (And I'm Telling You), Lisa Fisher (How Do I Ease the Pain), Sylvia (Pillow Talk), Betty Wright (No Pain No Gain), Stephanie Mills (I Feel Good All Over), Evelyn Champagne King (Shame), Angela Winbush (Angel) All these are awesome artist and songs!
All great choices. Far better than what she picks.
@@DanalynTuthill-yl4hdbe nice, she does a great job.
I've been giving a big list of female New Artist Alerts that grows every week. None chosen yet. Just added Phyllis Hyman this week :) Those are all great picks you listed.
All amazing songs! Great suggestions! 🤩
@@tonimartim5056 They have already reacted to those ladies! I'm giving them some awesome songs and artist who haven't gotten any exposure.
You guys would love Zhane’s GROOVE THING, HEY MR. DJ. Some more 90’s bangers.
2 great songs!! 👍
OH YEAH!!
Swedish producer Sten "Stonebridge" Hallström who edited/remixed this joint, from its original to this version, only got less than a thousand dollars for it. Btw... "house music all night long".
You still hear this song every day on local radio stations all over England. Timeless.
You gotta listen to Robyn with same name of song "Show Me Love" in the same year I believe but she was a short haired Swedish singer. AMAZING song. Definitely check it out. You'll love it especially Amber.
A banger 😊 just the best way to get a party going
There is this song (one hit wonder) Shirley &Company from 1974 called: Shame Shame (on you if you can't dance too) It's disco and it will get you dancing wheter you want to or not.
LOVE THIS ❤❤❤
The louder the better!!!!!!!
Black Box had amazing hits too: Everybody,Everybody;I Don't Know Nobody Else and Ride On Time. Female lead vocal. You two will love this group
Did a competitive dance to this in HS!!!
Early 90s dance/house music. The best.
"Everything but the kitchen sink," is a **very** common saying... not just a southern saying. I grew up Northern Midwest.
Play this tune at any party etc anywhere in the Uk, and the dance floor will be instantly packed.
One of my absolute FAVORITE dance songs - we had the BEST music!!!
Great dance song by Robin S. Ironically another woman named simply Robyn had a hit song with the same title "Show me Love" but not the same tune 4 years afterwards. (This is where you play Alanis Morrisette "Ironic") lol😂
This was one of my favorite songs. I loved this one!
New artists for Female Friday:
1. "No More Lies" by Michel'le (pronounced Me-shell-ay)
2. "Angel" by Angela Winbush (pronounced Ahn-juh-luh)
3. "Baby Come To Me" by Regina Belle
4. "Secret Rendezvous" by Karyn White
5. "Start of a Romance" by Skyy
Hello, I found your channel by chance and I got addicted to your reactions, especially all the songs that are from the 80's. Continuation of an excellent work. Greetings from Portugal 🇵🇹
This played at every fun fair in the uk in the 90s
This song dominated the clubs back in the day
Amber & Jay, That's what U called House Music in the house.
If you were at a club in the 90s...you love this song!...such memories!!!!
Party, dance, party, repeat. The song of my day. This song got people movin, and still does. Long live dance music!!
No one was sitting when this song came up in the club. Robin was fire as you all say. Sweat and heat. No room on the dance floor. Love it. Canadian Grandma. Lori. C.
Snap - I've Got The Power / Rhythm Is A Dancer
Definitely remember hearing this bumpin’ at the clubs in San Diego back in my military days. Good times!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ The Club was Packed dance floor screaming wow what a sensational awesome times thank u ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Oh heck yeah, we used to rip it up at the clubs to this and others back in the 90s! I posted in another thread but here are a few more awesome 90s dance hits to react to: La Bouche - "Be My Lover" & "Sweet Dreams"..... "Get Ready For This" - 2 Unlimited....."Rhythm is a Dancer" - SNAP!.......not really 90s Dance per say but I'll post it again....."The Power" - SNAP!
Robin S. is the gospel-bred New York singer-songwriter Robin Stone. She originally released "Show Me Love" in 1990 for the small independent label Champion Records. This version is heavy on piano, has some horn riffs, and runs 6:40. Targeted to dance clubs, it had little impact, but in 1992 the Swedish DJ and producer StoneBridge contacted Champion looking for songs to remix. They suggested "Show Me Love," and StoneBridge rejiggered the song with that now-famous synthesizer riff that dominates the mix. Champion released this version as a single and it became a massive international hit, going Top 10 in America and the UK in 1993 and also charting all over Europe.
The Clubs The Clubs The Clubs: Also, Chrystal Waters "100% pure love" the Remix, Everything but the Girl "Miss You" Remix version, Whitney's Remixes "Its not right but its ok" "learned from the best" Sandy B, "you make the world go round" Vanessa Williams "Running back to you" Rupaul "Supermodel" "house of love"
Urban Cookie Collective - The Key The Secret 🙂
Love it. And, Jay, I hope you realize that Amber is the very definition of "Everything and the kitchen sink."
I was at a performance at the casino I work at in January and it was a DJ playing hits and I requested Rockafeller Skank and he played it while people were already up and dancing and they danced to it!! How can u not?? It was a HUGE hit not only dance hit, but techno hit as well!!!
There is another Robyn who sings a banger called Show me Love
Yes, many times better than this.
I was young in this Era, its was incredible.
Funny thing, there's a girl named Robyn who has a great song called Show Me Love. You really should check it out.
Robyn in my favourite artist l! So clever. Be Mine
I totally requested that one too Joe. Good call.
Back in the 90’s, there was frequent confusion between both songs. I had to ask ppl “which one?”
See now I thought I was tripping and fell into another reality. I was scratching my head wondering who and what this is because this isn’t the Robyn and Show me Love that I know. Whew. So I’m not in an alternate reality. Excuse my language but wth is this? I’m lost.
One is named Robyn, the other is named Robin S. Both had a hit called "Show Me Love" which led to the confusion.
En Vogue's song "Hold On" is a must listen for female Friday.
This was THE Club banger of the 90’s ❤
Love this jam. Part of the mainstream introduction to the House Music genre that became popular in the late 80's and Early 90's. I think you all have already reacted to Soul II Soul and there are a lot other artists going back to the early 80's. Accessing more memories.
The queens of 90s house music were Robin S., Cece Peniston, and Crystal Waters.
This was another one of those songs that we played at every dance party my group of friends had...and everyone got out on the floor to dance when it came on.
Top ten house tune of all time for me. What a vocal performance!
Amber is right: "Everything but the kitchen sink" is not peculiar to Amber and it's not only a Southern saying. It is kind of old-fashioned, dating back decades, but it was very common at one time and meant "absolutely everything with nothing left out."
This still gets you moving 30 years on. Classic dance anthem from the UK
YES!!! This should sound familiar.😊
the early 90s had the best dance music
A+ video!
A classic and a club masterpiece, such a well-written song.
Solid 90's Club Banger. Ahhh. . . memories.
WOW! Memories.😊 I saw her live at a club back in the day. You'd just walk in and your arms just went up in the air. Fun times!💃 She was great!
I saw Robin S perform this song at a club in Nanuet, NY at it's height in 1993. Amazing! What a time to be alive. Club banger.
Best of Eurodance 90's songs! Great and wonderful Robin S voice, rhtyhm, vibes... ALL! LOVE THIS SONG! GREAT REACTION, GUYS!
I love watching the two of you react to dance grooves like this & Jay when a song really hits you, we can definitely tell you are transported right out on the dance floor. Love watching you 2, keep up the good work.
Good song good reaction
I played this banger at my wedding in 1994!! Everyone was up vibing to Robin S!
You guys are probably my favorite people to ever make reaction videos. Some people really do not put themselves inside a box and some people pretend like they aren’t and I can tell you guys are definitely not in one box. Your guys whole vibe is electric and the feeling I see you guys get when listening to some of these songs for the first time ever is a feeling I wish I could experience all over again.
LOL.. this took me back to Electric Circus.. a dance party that was on Much Music back in the 90's here in Canada!!!!! 🍁 It was so popular and they would take the party out on the streets.. it was just the coolest night of dance fun!!!! 🎶🎵💃🕺
Absolutely still LOVE LOVE this song. Reminds me of my long ago clubbing days.😊
I love love love this song. Really one of my all time favorite 90s songs, brings back so many memories.
I truly love these guys jay and amber their pure energy is infectious and the tune is top notch too.
Robin could BLOW! The production was tight, too.
A real banger I used to love dancing to back in the day. LOVE IT! ❤
It's not just a Southern saying Jay... lol... Everything but the kitchen sink.. is said up here in Canada too!! Very common saying up here!!! lol You two are so dang cute!!! 😂☺
It was sampled in Beyoncé's "Break my soul". The 90s always attract, there's nothing to do
That’s why I love break my soul
Yes, thank you for pointing that out! Reinvigorating Robin S’s jam in that Bey song…a masterfully incorporated and aurally enjoyable sample. :-)
I ❤ seeing you both get your dance on to these great bops!🎶
It's Saturday here so i thought i would stay up for you both . this track was my youth xx
Love you guys! You're adorable.😄
Great hubby/wifey chemistry. 🧡💯
This was early vocal house and still one of the best.
More 90s for female friday, C+C Music Factory: Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now) - Martha Wash on vocals despite the video and Do You Wanna Get Funky (also featuring Martha Wash), Here We Go (Let's Rock and Roll) and Things That Make You Go Hmm. Also, there's Black Box "Everybody Everybody."
There's one more from Robin S. that I want you guys to check out someday
She recorded a song for the Space Jam soundtrack called "Givin' You All that I Got" It has the same soul and energy she produced in this song
Thanks again for getting this off your new artist list! Based on your reactions, I feel the most proud for this suggestion than any other I've given You continue to be awesome hosts to this channel!
576st this song is the SCHIT! It was everywhere.... excellent get the party started music......great to exercise too as well
Definitely wore my dance shoes out to this one back in the day! This style of music could never get old! Y'all bringin it for sure!💃
