WARNING! Wear OS 4.0 One UI 5 blocks GBoard on several apps. I'm dependent on this functioning and I'm paying monthly LTE so that I can enter data through GBoard voice input in my native language. Had I known, or remembered I'd seen this and that it was caused by Samsung's update of the OS/UI, I would not have "upgraded." This "bug" has been running for 2 months now.
What Google demands of other app developers they do not comply to themselves. I'm on the Wear platform since 2016, when it was called Android Wear. If it's not fixed I will never buy another Wear OS product. By New Year's the Wear OS goes pumpkin. Five months of ignoring their customers. Not surprising. Google's approach has been atrocious support over the years. The switch from Google on Tap to Google Assistant left all non native English speakers without voice interaction for over 2 years. There was no communication, no time frame, no nothing. There were workarounds that the community discovered but Google was NOT helpful in the least. They could have shared it, because obviously the knew. @@chomskysfavefive
Seems like the Watch5 Manager also got an update! Just checked after I saw this and there is a new update for the Watch5 Plug-in too, not only the Watch6.
The annoying dot issue of tiles is still present. It came for the tile of Google maps. Since i had just installed an update for that app on the watch, I think whenever an app gets updated, red dot is appearing again for their tiles.
Didn't yet get thet WearOS app update in the PlayStore... Google is surely doing something behind the scenes, look at that random tile renderer or whatever is called, popping outta nowhere.
Galaxy watches are full of bloatware and have Samsung versions of google apps, so often almost duplicating, only half the memory of the pixel watch 2, HR tacking and sleep tracking is poor. So no wonder there is trouble between watches as Samsung have their apps and things, so making it harder for Google apps. I perfer the pixel watch, not much bloatware compared to Samsung. And the pixel watch gets the updates before the others
So you can recieve whatsapp calls directly on the watch..Which watch version&OS do you have..?!(I updated and upgraded to the latest whatsapp.vers.but do not recieve an calls on the watch,just messages,I have G.W.4 LTE vers.
@@stureericsson9545 Works on both OneUI4 and 5. I have both Watch4 & 6. I DO NOT install whatsapp on the watch, as it's horrible as you will loose notifications, etc. OneUI4 didnt have this callerID bug, but OneUI5 does. There are reddit threads on this too.
Thanks so much! I've been hoping for the Gmail app to appear on the watch. Wondering if anyone else has the issue where when downloading on the Galaxy Watch 6 (44mm non-LTE) it does not use WiFi , even with WiFi enabled and on Automatic. My watch is connected to a Samsung S10 . If I turn off bluetooth only then does the watch use WiFi to download.
My watch 5pro weather widget now has a mind of its own, its set to every hr but will not update for a whole day or more on its own unless i tap to refresh and yes it's not on deep sleeping app list.
Well, i can't talk and hear through any of my GW5 pro and GW6 Classic anymore. I'm on One Ui6 Beta in my S23 Ultra. This started since last week, and I couldn't find any solution for it. I even factory reset my GW6 Classic, and no luck 😢
Have to ask have you heard from anyone that the watch 5 does things on it own like dialing a number or like putting the watch on power saver automatically and other things like that.
Is it me or anyone else is facing battery drain issue on watch 6 classic BT version?? My watch is not lasting more than 15 to 16 hours of normal use and no AOD or no health monitoring on
Interesting: when I watch the video and it shows that 53% battery life gives an estimated autonomy of more than 1 day and 14 hours. I know it's a Galaxy Watch6, but is my Galaxy Watch4 Classic so bad that, with a fully charged battery, it gives me an estimated autonomy of only 12 hours? And yes, I have the One UI 5.0 version of Wear OS 4.0 installed. And yes, I have also cleared the cache on my device. Why this huge difference in autonomy? It's normal? @@Phantigua I would do the same if my GW4 was still under warranty for that purpose. I think that switching to One UI 5.0 should bring benefits and improvements, not the other way around, as is the case with battery life, which was seriously affected. Bad move Samsung!🤨👎
On my GW4 classic, still not working on Reminder. Unfortunately I had to reset mine days after few days with UI5. After that my watch got very bad. After reset, battery looks better.

Samsung killed my Watch5 Battery with the last update. So I sent them back under warranty

I've tested like 2 or 3 times cycling, since I've got the OneUI 5 update and everything is okay, for me... Watch 4 LTE btw.
