For generation x'ers , the Red Hot Chilli Peppers are OUR version of "The Who" or "The Rolling Stones" or dare I say it "The Beatles".... Certainly when you look at the giant volume of work that the Peppers have put out and the quality there of it, few through out the history of rock can make such claims of greatness. In my opinion this puts the Peppers right up there in the same league as ANY of rock's historical icons. Further this video shows a side of them showing their love for THE MUSIC that inspired them. These aren't some industry created teeny bopper models who a record company turned into a band, these guys are MUSICIANS first and foremost. The difference shows in the quality of what they produce. I consider my self blessed to have seen them in 1986 in a tiny club with original guitarist Hillel Slovack... Every one in the audience that night knew they were witnessing something more profound than just another show at the Underground Railroad. This was history in the making. (my version of the experience baby boomers describe when speaking of of the beatles first performance on the Ed Sullivan show)

Love this band. They truly understand how to marinade the song with badass bassist.
Among these outfits, I see Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Twisted Sister, Ziggy Stardust, Kiss, Nirvana and maybe a little bit of Elton John, Jefferson Airplane, Guns and Roses and Led Zeppelin here and there. A bit of a nice rock flashback there. And I'm digging that white outfit at 0:57. and blue suit top hat at 1:32, who is reminding me of the lead singer of Panic!
