Absolutely wonderful performance featuring two artists who blend quite nicely and have beautiful voices individually. I think both are superb in these roles and am especially impressed with the Gilda of Siurina.

Bright personalities, world scenes with luxurious voices. Unsurpassed = amaze with its brilliance and beauty. Their voices are perfect for each other. Voices of extraordinary beauty. They are simply amazing. Aria Gilda, charming, in her image reveals the deep purity, tenderness and nobility of her nature = «In the temple I went in humbly to God to bring a prayer ... And suddenly the young man appeared to me, as a marvelous vision». Or, what sweet melancholy yearning Rodrigo = «Cry, cry, dear, Leave tears My angel». Touchingly and sad. The heart freezes when listen to this duet, tears appear in eyes, touching the thinnest strings of the soul. I express admiration and delight! A tremendous success!

@alexanuchid Sorry, but just... No. First, you can't say that larger=bass, smaller=baritone. It's about the colour and range. DH was a lyric baritone, nowadays is rather true Verdi baritone. His voice is a bit darker, but not anything to do with bass or even bass-baritone. The size of the voice has more to do with loudness and the way how the voice carries in space. As for the range, I have a recording of him singing a B flat below high C, and he used to have rather weak lows when young.

His voice is too large for the role-Rigoletto-wrong choice...He is Bass not a bariton!!!
First, the size of the voice not the issue. He has a good size baritone voice [not as large as MacNeil for example] which he uses in a technically excellent manner. This role should have a darkness to it which reflects one side of the character and in Dimitri's voice we can hear both the horrible manipulator of the Duke's court and the loving father. Rigoletto should have a very large voice [e.g., MacNeil, Milnes, Bastianini] with both a hard edge and the poetic softness for the father part of him.
