- In this video I show all weapons of the Doom games, including modifications and upgrades! The games shown are Doom 1, 2, 3, 64, 2016 and Eternal. I did not include Doom RPG 1 and 2 because they are turn-based mobile games...
Playing, recording and editing for this video took me about 60 hours, so I would be grateful for Likes and Shares.
Which weapon do you like best? My favorites are the Heavy Assault Rifle with the Micro Missile Mod activated and the Super Shotgun. The Chaingun with Gatling Rotator Mod is also nice. The multiplayer weapons of Doom 2016, on the other hand, I find relatively superfluous, although there is a nice reference to Quake with the Lightning Gun.

I think it’s just simply the fact that pistols are useless once you get other weapons, and unlike in the original Doom, Doom 2016 doesn’t take those weapons away from you if you die, so it had no place in the game, not even as a ammo low weapon, as now we’ve got the chainsaw giving us ammo.
The chainsaw was undoubtedly one of the most badass weapons in a video game

No its actually the shotgun, any shotgun whatsoever because blowing off an enemies head is way more badass than sawing an enemy and getting a blood shower and end up smelling like unrefrigerated autopsy gone wrong x10

I still love the sound of the Plasma Rifle from Doom 3. Such a unique blast, even the reloading sound is a treat for the ears.

@@gloryb2yahuah990 I agree. I played it back when it came out and replayed it on the Doom 3 BFG edition, and it definitely gave me spooks. I know some don't like it but it was still a fun game with a decent horror aspect.

They missed out chaingun for Doom 1, 2, 64 etc. but it just sounded like a repeating pistol anyway.

I don't know if you realize, but damaging enemies on fire makes flame belch spit out more armor, and killing those affected gives the biggest and fastest bonus.
And mastered meat hook kills and hits to only the demon meat hooked also grant armor

Doom 2016's multiplayer weapons could've had potential along with mutliplayer itself since it was stale in 2016. Wouldve been cooler if they were added in eternal (with more game modes to not only get bored only by battlemode but keep in mind battle mode is fun, I'm not saying its boring but it could be after a while if id wants to keep the players entertained)

im not sure what you mean, i had a lot of fun with the 2016 multiplayer. But i do hope they get deathmatch for eternal, i like battlemode, but battlemode IMO should have been an add on instead of deathmatch if they plan to introduce it as an addon
@@brucehammadalee3835 It's because of the purists from the 1993 IPX connection, DWANGO maps..or whatever you want to call it, early Doom days didn't welcome the new changes done to doom 2016 multiplayer. check what happened on steam when they released the multiplayer beta, man it got ripped apart by the community accusing the game of being a Halo/CoD mix for the right reasons. Load outs and demon powerups in a doom game, isn't...."Doom" to me.

I actually have reaper lol. Its a (if i remember got to revisit 16) 4-6 burst shot normally and zoomed quick charge shot was a single heavy shot. It is very useful if you can shoot moving targets well, hits hard too

I completely forgot to add on when i revisted 16. It is a 6 shot with high recoil compared to other weapons. I recommend for killtime is shorter or shall i say easier to kill someone else with it. And the charge shot expends 1 bullet instead of 6+ which is very nice

15:56 It actually does do damage, I once staggered a soldier and went over to glory kill, but he got back up so I was gonna blood punch him, but a bug happened and it didn't work. So I punched him normally and he went back into a staggered state.

The sound effects for the BFG from doom 3 sound like they were ripped from Halo (Or at least the charge up sound does) but Maybe that's just me, I personally dont have a Problem with it tho

I really wish the Grabber had made an appearance in _Doom Eternal._ It was a lot of fun in _Resurrection of Evil,_ but it's a lot more tactical than _Eternal's_ fast-paced gameplay calls for, and with the emphasis on resource management, it would have needed a complete redesign to have some sort of ammunition pool.
I kinda like how the Eternal pistol is burst fire, and the secondary fire is single shot
As someone who started with 2016 and Eternal and didn't really care for the chaingun, going back to the earlier games made me love it because it rips in doom 1 2 and 3, something about the slightly slower firing speed and the constant thumping is just so satisfying

You can actually get your fists out in doom eternal, you just gotta run out of all your ammo and all of your chainsaw
Or if you are in the starting room you just gotta run out of shells and press Q (or whatever the weapon wheel is bound to). But it isn't really worth punching something in Eternal unless you got blood punch charged up or see a crack somewhere. Even then, blood punch only seems to connect with the enemy half of the time and never when you need it to do so.
I think in Doom Eternal, the combat shotgun feels a lot weaker than in the previous games, same with the heavy cannon.
I wasn't a big fan of the reg shotgun in doom3 idk to me it just didn't deliver no power.
@@gizmothehusky7676 it's not that it's not powerful, it's that the spread is so bad that barely any pellets actually hit the target. For maximum damage, just hug the enemy with it
They might not be the strongest weapons but with the weak points system they are key weapon of your arsenal. Sure you’re probably going to mostly switch between the SSG, Rocket Launcher and Ballista but if you want to take out a Cacodemon quickly or the weak points of Arachnotrons or Revenants you’re going to use one of them

I think the berserk powerup is arguably the only thing that's better in 2016 than Eternal. It's obvious that 2016 focused a lot more on power ups than eternal as well, however.

Its strange doom I & II, look "retro" and have aged ok in a classic way; but Doom 3 just looks old and a bit ugly.
(Doom 64 looks like a N64 game, not retro yet, but not aged like Doom 3; an uncanny valley problem?)
Doom 3 along with games like Half life is pretty great in the environmental department with enemies ambushing you or in general just scripted events which seem unscripted if that makes sense. I find Doom 3 to still look beautiful it’s timeless with that 2000s pc look. I’ve experienced Doom 3 in VR and found it amazing it was one of them games with just felts so well into VR ticking every box with great controls, interactive environments and great in game scripted events. It’s very Doom 3 in VR is far superior than Doom 3 but Doom 2016 in VR is just okay nothing to write home about.

The Super Shotgun has been my go-to for Doom 2016, along with the Plasma Rifle and Heavy AR, so it’s nice to see how it has evolved

The Gauss Canon is my absolute favorite weapon in DOOM.
Probably because of how hilariously overpowered it was. It was so good, that in most cases it actually out BFG’d the BFG.
The classics are amazing, and then Eternals are equally amazing. The others feel a little lacking at times, but all still fantastic.
Gotta love the ballista, it *screams* of power and destruction and is indeed pretty powerful.

Yeah, the plasma gun sounded like it fired snowballs in 2016 and the projectiles looked the part. Dealt about as much damage too.
The only things I'll give 2016 were the BFG and the chaingun. The former cus of the classic SFX making a cameo and the latter cus it sounds beefy. Eternal easily wins out on the rest.

@@marcywantsto7553 Very hard to agree with that. None of the gun sounds have any real... "base" (whatever that means). Just fire the shotguns in every other Doom game then fire it in Eternal. I can already hear the weak sounds in my head.

Nah some of eternal's weapon sounds better. The assault rifle for example sounds more suppressed in 2016 whereas in eternal you can clearly hear the clinking sounds.
@@Tirocoa Yeah. That one sounds way better in Eternal. But idk about the Ballista, chaingun, shotguns and even the RL (rocket launcher from 2016 and Eternal is a difficult choice to pick from tho)
I like how the Plasma Gun from Doom 2016 is the same one from Doom 3 the same model anyways. I remember reading in the codex stating that the plasma gun (2016) was an updated version of (last plasma gun name and model) so i imagine the Doom 3 and 2016 are updated models of the classic Doom 1 to 64 gun which makes since with the 130 years time jump. Curious why the UAC in Doom Eternal are using a more classic looking model.
Maybe the plasma guns in eternal are older models being pressed into service.

Less ammo usually for you to want to use chainsaw but no argent ammo drops so if were to guess, so it can keep its badass difficulty. Idk
