I was just at his home in Mentor, Ohio. Quite a nice home for the era. He was a farmer, preacher and teacher. A man who valued education. He was reluctant to accept the nomination for president.

That was the train station he arrived at when he got to NJ. But he was shot at the Baltimore and Potomac Station in Washington D.C.

Harmon, Good to see you... I have been gone for a bit. I had a 23 yr old working for me,who didn't know who the FIRST President of the United States was? No Clue at all. Kids are so stupid today.
Ugh. Why do people completely ruin the look of their homes by placing those ugly basketball goals in their driveways? I digress. This is very interesting. I've been to his tomb in Cleveland (which is currently being restored) but had never seen his death place.
I never cared for Garfield. He was always antagonizing Odie and Jon never did anything about it.

garfield lingered for a long time (80 days) and should have recovered except for the fact he had 19th century care. it's said george washington also died from the care of his doctors (bled him to death)
