Sharks arent even atracted to human blood but a great white shark in a lake is even more crazy
Bull sharks can survive in fresh water and that sort of resembles a bull shark, but since this movie is ridiculous, I am sure they mean it to be a great white and why on earth a hammerhead is surviving in a lake is beyond me.
Obviously the idiots who wrote the script for this movie didn't do any research into real sharks. The only shark that can swim into fresh water is a bull shark. These damned movies are going to cause idiots to start murdering the sharks again, but people had better realize that sharks are a natural part of the oceanic ecosystem. The great white sharks are now in danger of being killed by orcas, and we need to find a way of stopping the orcas without killing them, if possible.

I thought it depends on the species. There was a US Navy ship that went down in one of the World Wars and a lot of the men were eaten by sharks.

When I first watched Crawl, I had to read up about it first on Wikipedia to check that the dog, Sugar, wouldn’t get eat by the alligators. Spoiler: she doesn’t, thank goodness.

If you actually saw the movie, you'd be shocked that it's actually entertaining. It's pure Popcorn, but a decent film to watch with friends and laugh at. It's definitely not as bad as this recap makes it look😂.

Shark Night 3D and Piranha 3D are both pretty entertaining bad movies. Piranha is a little more aware of its own absurdity and that makes it an even better movie.

This film is pretty good its not perfect but it doesn't deserve all the hate it's getting, saw it a few times when it came out had a 3d version too.

Donal Logue (the cop) has been in epic movies/series like Blade, Sons of Anarchy etc so this is a big step down for him😆. Plus Sara (Sara Paxton irl) has been in some great things like the Last House on the Left remake so, again, big step down the entertainment ladder doing this. I love sharks and shark movies but can't remember watching this all the way through. I've tried but...nuh. Will try again one day.
Edit - Actually, I think the other Shark Night is the one I tried watching. People get put in shark infested waters (including a pool🙄) to be eaten while it's livestreamed for rich sadists to watch. Different to this one. There's Shark Week as well so easy to mix them up.

Did the producers not do research? The movie isn’t horrible, but a great white in a lake is highly unlikely lol. A bull shark would’ve been more realistic.

That ending made no sense why would the Shark leap at them while they on the boat that's just gonna make it land on the boat and we don't even know if it got them or not just a dumb cliffhanger ending like dawn of the dead remake and that new shark movie under Paris

What’s to understand? It’s a typical psycho slasher horror film, only with sharks thrown in.
What I was told about this movie, the story was different. The way had the advertisement it talked about some kind of avenged story of that same character who wanted to kill his girlfriend for breaking up with him. She end up on his face and he still wants to kill her, but the cop was not in cahoots with them.
Sharks hate the taste of human flesh for one, and two did anyone else notice that "Red" has sharp top teeth?
It's not the taste of our flesh that puts them off but the lack of fat/blubber. We're too boney. Tiger sharks eat turtles and have serrated top and bottom teeth to break through the shells but because we have less fat than their preferred prey, they rarely devour us. If starving through illness, old age etc and opportunistic, a shark will eat us instead of just taking an observatory bite (like they did with Popov, Nellist etc when they actually hung around long enough to devour them) but usually they just bite and let go.

Ok, there are some sharks that can survive in fresh water. However, none of these sharks are the kind that can survive in fresh and salt water.
