  • A look at the 24-Volt Misting Fan (aka swamp cooler) from #KobaltTools and comparison with the older standard fan. This is available as a bare tool or in a combo kit, and is a nifty lifestyle addition to the Kobalt lineup, but has other uses as a means to water new plants, sod or grass seed in locations a hose cannot reach.

    I just got my fan today and I am intending on using it to cool down an excessively hot vehicle. The fan IS AMAZING. Honestly I was impressed with how much mist this fan produces even in low mist mode. I highly recommend this fan. I honestly can't wait to see it in action in the hot vehicle.

      Are you using the misting part or the fan part? Inside the car?

    I am right along with you with the boat application. I am thinking I can even hook this up to my 24v system I haver for the trolling motor and this thing would run all day. I would be worried about just plopping the hose into the lake water though. I am thinking maybe with an additional filter wrapped around the hose end that might work well.

  • @theperfectpaintertoolreview

    The vacuum and inflator are also brushed. Not sure why they chose brushed for the vacuum but it does still work good. Maybe cut costs idk

    You probably could use hot tub scents in the bucket of water to make your shop smell real nice like...👍

      @@OnTheWorkbench I also think that a brand new bucket with a lid would be optimal. I would use a drill and poke one hole for the hose and one hole for the breather in the lid. This will keep bugs and dust out.

    I just bought this... my question is.. if I buy bigger batterires... will the small charger that came with this misting fan, will it charge those larger batteries ?

    • @OnTheWorkbench
      @OnTheWorkbench  Před 3 lety

      The small charger works ok, just takes longer than the larger chargers, otherwise they work the same.

    If you had to pick one fan, which one would you choose?

    • @OnTheWorkbench
      @OnTheWorkbench  Před 3 lety

      The listing tube can be removed if necessary so the trade off is the hooks on the normal fan versus being able to use the Ultimate Output battery on the misting fan. To me, it's a game of tradeoffs with no clear winner (or looser either).

    That’s pretty cool. Do you think Lowe’s is going to have some good sales on Kobalt coming up?

    • @OnTheWorkbench
      @OnTheWorkbench  Před 3 lety +1

      There is almost always a sale on a few 24v tools, and rotates about every 30-60 days or so. Some other deals come and go within bigger bundle deals. The next big event starts on June 1. That will be two batteries and charger for $129 with a free select tool.

    • @OnTheWorkbench
      @OnTheWorkbench  Před 3 lety +2

      By the time you cut away enough of the lid to fit around this there probably would not be enough lid left for it to be worth it.

    Thing works great! Until the nozzles plug. And try and replace them with original parts. Aint happening. NEVER buy one of these from Kobalt if they aren't going to supply the replacement parts. Things pretty much worthless now.
