Claudia cannot be saved. And each of her impulsive actions doom her even further.
The fact that everything dream lestat says comes from Louis’ mind is WILD just mocking everything Armand says and calling Claudia a poor decision, the insight into Louis hidden thoughts
Because even though LeStat is the meanest most Narcissistic "teacher‐non-teacher" of the rules he was absolutely right about Claudia.
Although LeStat was the worst narcissistic self-serving depraved "teacher" he was absolutely right about Claudia. She was a mistake, to be made so young with eternal yearning a gaping hole never to be filled, never ripened yet rotting. LeStat did not teach Louis [the "ways" of the vampire if you will] so that he could hold power over Louis. LeStat never intended to make Louis a better vampire because that wouldn't able Louis gave agency and independence, most critical it would enable Louis to abandon him in the same fashion that he used and abandoned Armand.
I feel like we kinda forget sometimes that Dreamstat is a manifestation of Louis trauma, guilt and shame. So a lot of these mind rambles read more as Louis’s fear of committing to something new with Armand and also the worst parts of his subconscious. And I don’t know about y’all but I don’t tend agree with my darkest thoughts. Dreamstat gives voice to Louis’s darkest thoughts
@@tigerlilly9038good observation
Okay how I interpreted the interview where Jacob speaks on dream lestat is Louis projecting his view of lestat and it manifesting as dreamstat and the things dreamstat says and does is Louis projection of Les. I don’t think it ever crosses Louise’s mind that Claudia is a mistake except for his guilt of making her so young and also his guilt for damning her or anyone because Louis in the books doesn’t want to make anyone a vampire he continues to battle with the morality of it.
Lord, even in death, Lestat is doing the most.
🤣🤣🤣
That part where Armand was like "I'm not Lestat."
And dream Lestat is like "Ok. 😕" had me dying
it's the Armand being the strongest vampire of all so far and a complete sub, for me.
power bottoms rise up!
It’s giving vers couple but lestat and Louie gives me lestat was a power bottom and needed his BBC
@@jeremyd5850🤣 I’m dead 💀
He said it himself, "why are the most powerful always the weakest"... being in the world so long and being this shame-filled and insecure. His backstory makes it make some sense.
😂😆
Arun is the name Armand was born with in India, given to him by his birth parents. Amadeo was the slave name he was given by Marius when he was bought at the brothel. And Armand is the slave/cult name he was given by the Children of Darkness/Satan in Paris.
But yes, there IS a power dynamic going on. But the name Arun is Louis telling Armand to reclaim his birth name; his human identity, not his vampire roles he never wanted.
One thing, I’m a bit confused about (maybe I heard the dialogue wrong) but I feel like in the flashback of this episode, Armand said that is maker name was Magnus and then Magnus went on to transform Lestat. But in the episode he told his backstory to Daniel, he said that (Marius was his maker) and that Magnus was in his coven but went rogue to transform Lestat. Armand is such a manipulator, he even has ME confused.
@Sarahlancey it's small details like that are intentional from the writers I think. Since this series is all about perception I'm not surprised if Armand misspoke in a moment to keep up his dominance over Louis and Daniel in the present time
@@danika94butterflys Thank you. I rewatched it and I had misheard it. His maker was Marius and Magnus was the leader of the coven who abandoned the coven before Armand came.
I had a similar reading of that moment too. And let’s be real here Louis has as much power in this dynamic as Armand lets him. The idea that Louis is manipulating him and that Armand is so blind seems a bit of an overstatement of Louis’s power. That’s not to say that he can’t play into that role, but Louis is no match for Armand he far too old and powerful, he’s able to maneuver this way because Armand is inlove with him. Because if he wasn’t,,, ooooo boy he’d be some hot fucking shit
THIS
Louis trying so hard to beat the bottom allegations 😅
Claudia be reading all the girls
I feel Armand is in relationship with Louis because he is also seeing Lestat through their "connection".
The way Armand hemmed up Claudia, he's punishing her for 💀Lestat.
I love how well done this iteration of Ann Rice's Vampire Chronicles. These tragic characters are so well fleshed out and relatable you start to invest in them personally despite knowing the end results. Each episode is getting better than the next one leading up to its glorious climax.
Yes another person who read but also appreciates this version of the story. I’m not mental or emotionally prepared for how it’s going to end. I know what’s coming and have read it multiple times but yet…❤️🩹
@Giraffe27 Did you see Lestat (no figment of Louis' imagination) walking through the audience during Claudia's ill-fated trial? The icing on the proverbial cake is Claudia wearing the yellow dress from the book, which only diehard fans can thoroughly understand or appreciate.
@@fortelewisandrew2426 yes I saw that! I can’t wait for Louis to burn that mf to the ground😭
i know miss claudia is tiredT. it's one thing for louis to pick lestat over her cuz they have a complicated history (to say the least). but he just met armand and just like that it's "my man my man my man"?? louis lock them knees and stand up for the love of gawd!!! that being said, i live for the mess and can't wait for more 😈
Louis 😤 Louis is the parent that enables the abusive parent, you finally get away from the abuse and they find another abusive a-hole to attach to.
WTF!
Exactly that's why I hate his character more than anyone
Adrian poor Claudia, I feel like she needs Louie to protect her but he gone, and its so sad 😢
Armand acting like Queen Latifa from the musical Chicago....like everybody's probation officer all the while hiding his hand ....great review you have done of their individual behavior
I was waiting for yu because this episode was a lot. I personally felt like I caught a couple of strays when Claudia was reading Louis. Chile!!!!!!
I had Adrian’s Voice in my mind when she read him lol!
Same
@@avant-garde365lol I remember Adrian saying something along the lines of “you’re abandoning me over ANOTHER vers bottom”😭😭
Idk why so many people think Dreamstat is somehow Louis' secret thoughts. It's always come across to me as the equivalent of intrusive thoughts causes by the trauma he experienced.
I’m starting to believe that Louis never truly loved and cared about Claudia. He’s been treating her like an afterthought, especially when it comes to Lestat and Armand. And he wonders why she is growing distant from him. Poor Claudia.
Furthermore, as much as I hate to admit it, I feel a little sorry for Armand. The fact that he started out as sex slave as a child before he was eventually turned into a vampire shows why he’s so twisted. This kind of correlates to Lestat being so angry due to suffering from child abuse at the hands of his father before he was eventually turned into a vampire. This shows how whatever trauma you have as a human, it gets magnified tenfold when you become a vampire.
Also, notice that Louis and Armand’s relationship is starting to seemingly fall apart after Daniel points out the inconsistencies of Louis’ photography portfolio? This is probably when Louis finally catches on that he’s been heavily lied to. And now he’s feeling angry, confused, and humiliated.
(The writers can stop following the book anytime, give me some hope!... I'm not ready 😭)
I so badly want Claudia and Madeleine to runaway together. Their banter is everything 😄. It gives cool teacher- troubled kid, best friends vibe. I love it!
I really wanted to have faith in Santiago I really thought that him and Claudia had some artistic, vampiral (?) connection. But I see that's not it 😫
The bag over the head deal, they specified paper bag. So he would f a girl basically if he didn’t have to look at her. Sounds like queer fear. I think Armand is triggering that memory because it’s particularly shameful. As for that wrapped up body, a separate instance involving he Louis and Armand.
I honestly thought that it was a memory of Daniel being a jackass. That the girl was apparently in Daniel’s eyes too ugly for him to even want to look at while fucking her. And that part of Daniel’s shame is that he feels guilty about having been so mean to her/ taking advantage of her low self esteem. Don’t get me wrong though I fully believe that Daniel at the very least is a closeted bisexual man and has kept that aspect of his identity under wraps out of shame and necessity.
Louis upset about the photography as if Daniel is there to help him with an art 🖼️ project
I think Daniel is having flashbacks, not Armand actively playing with his head. The digging Louis did in Ep 2 cracked his memory open, so now he's gaining it back bit by bit. Just like what happened to Louis about Claudia dreaming in Ep 1. And looking at Armand's face triggers him more.
Yes, I’ve felt that the whole time, but it is proven when Armand and Louis are busy arguing, and Daniel still sees the flashbacks.
Santiago is a sneaky hater of Claudia but very much in our face when it comes to his hate of Louis lmao. So so entertaining! The way this show is messy is how messy I needed Challengers to be.
I’m in love with your channel.
remember when daniel said his daughters don't talking to him anymore? that's when i started to think that daniel is as whacky as these vampires and that's why he is so obsessed with them
My heart feels for Claudia. And Armand's story was so sad against Louis being a pimp in the show version. I was kind of getting annoyed with Louis too at the restaurant with his bragging while all the other vampires have to follow the coven rules. Santiago getting irritated mimicking his thoughts, and we then see the real Louis come out. It's about to really get telenovella soon.
Yasss!!! Santiago is the youngest so he's not as powerful as Louis. He really doesn't know who he's playing with.... Ughhhh, I can't wait, but I'm sad about what's to come.
@@mstoni105but is he younger than louis?
I was going to say Santiago is the youngest of the coven, Louis hasn’t been a vamp all that long, he was made in 1910’s. Who is to say that Santiago wasn’t created before?
@@christinegee1752 That's true. But the way Louie handled Santiago said a lot. Just like when Louie kicked in his mama's doors, we know he has a temper.
@@mstoni105 Well unless they changed every rules regarding vampires, the potency of your blood makes your stronger as compared to age.
In the Books Lestat was far stronger than Armand even though Armand was older before Lestat's sire had potent blood, and Lestat was the one who had the various Dark Gift instead of Armand.
Claudia can’t play this role in the play for 50yrs or what ever!
Humans will see that she is an eternal child!
At the time technology hadn't evolved so the vampires most likely beloved they could pass Claudia off as someone else maybe the daughter and eventually granddaughter of the og and kill anyone who suspects differently
That's the thing she can the theater vampire are not hiding that there vampires so anything vampire like is part of the show human will wouldn't think a thing they'll just think she's vamp she supposed to look the same the logical Brain will make excuses for the supernatural especially if it's in there face
@@randomgeekcrap ok. But they are Vampires PRETENDING to be vampires for the play.
The audience has to believe they are human, otherwise they all break the law.
@KawaiiBri said that Claudia looked like Lafayette from True Blood, and now I can’t unsee it😂
the louisiana jumped out💀
#JusticeForClaudia; this ish just ain't fair! Someone save my baby girl!
IKR, the curfew stuff's ridiculous. Like, they're vampires, so they ALREADY have limited time to be out & about. Then you're gonna curtail their time even MORE?! Oof!
Not the Twitter/TikTok NDAs, stop it!
Melania Trump--the SOUND I just made, trying not to choke on my laughter!
I have no friggin idea why the coven was in that restaurant, AND they brought Louis along!? ASKING for trouble.
Did you know I'm a phoTOGraPhER!?
Gay artists talk too much--I love it. XD
Santiago, you still white, now! 🤣🤣😭😂
They both had good points--but Claudia's point was a sword and Louis' was a pencil.
Another headless Grindr Twunk, dang. U_U
Ur laugh at 17. Eats me up everytime, so contagious ❤❤❤
My head was spinning during this episode but at least I wasn't scared
Louis did his old pimp moves on Armand
curfew? WACK!!!!!!!
Delainey was amazing!, all the acting really! 😊
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
For the record, "metra" is REALLY close to how you say "maître" in French, but MARTA is a much better nickname for Armand's unreliable, slow @ss 🤣!!
You are a TREASURE, Love 🙏🏾 Happy Pride 🌈💕
#homosexualpoetssociety lmao 😝🤘🏾!!!
I need more of Santiago vs Louis lol
I think Louie has a split personality and the other personality is Lestat. Next episode is going to be so good!
you dragging louis for being gay and annoying killed me jfbriuig he's a yapper and i almost felt offended cus i'm like he's just like me LMAOO
Chile when I say this episode has me gagged! And we’re only halfway through the season I’m so scared man. Most of my theories are getting dogged so it’s really toss up for me where we’re gonna end up. I’m so damn excited
The LuLu play is basically about Claudia. And Armand KNOWS that!!!!!!
The way I cackled when Louis had Santiago's tongue!!! I said "Aww shoot" my toxic behind thought that was lightweight sexy. And Armand hitting that table and yelling ENOUGH was.....ooooo wwweeee!!!!
This show is bringing out my toxicity 🤣
The fact that Santiago clocked their NOLA accent should've let them know they are not safe. And Armand told Louis don't lie to them, they are not forgiving. Smh
Louis is sounding real Pimp DuLac-ish with that "You sure about that Arun?" All that was missing was "I can be your, mother, your father, your everything baby"
I don't feel for Claudia. The first night at the theatre, when they learned Lestat founded that theatre, Louis was ready to leave Paris. But, Miss Claudia wanted to stay because she felt she found her family even though Louis should've been enough. Claudia is so infantile. She wants what she wants. She ignored everything Lestat told her about European vampires. Therefore, let her eat.
She’s 14 damn 😭🥲, even if she has lived long, the only people (vampires) she has interacted with were Lestat (her abusive master/maker; ofc she didn’t trust his word) and Louis (the perpetual victim). She was only 14 when she got turned and had no meaningful human interactions. Louis at least was turned in his 30s and was a pimp (business owner) before. After his first interaction with Armand, I’m unsure that Louis truly wanted to leave… We know that he likes him a rich (crazy) old vampire.
I was a big dummy when I was younger. 😅 Let’s have empathy for my sis.
same. i understand her reasoning and actually i do feel for her. she’s had an awful life and desperately wants some semblance of family. but she made her bed and now she must lie in it. the signs were there from the very start and she chose to take an extremely risky gamble and she lost. simple as that. She dug and walked into her own grave 😭
Greay review. This episode was giving. Thay power shift was interesting. Seems like Armund gets love sick easily and lets power dynamics shift as a result. Louis did give him some good advice about the coven.
I was waiting all morning for this 😭❤️❤️❤️

💞🌹 DELICIOUS 🌹💞
“Arjun is a vampire that was made my Pandora. A completely different character than Armand. Armand’s given name was Andrei, then named Amadeo by Marius (his maker) and then when he was made Armand during his tenure with the children of darkness. Armand’s homeland is in Kiev Russia
Armand is HIM❤
ADRIAN, I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS SHOW WHY DID YOU DO THIS TO MEEEE.
I still can't tell if they edited Santiago's voice or if that was the actor and that gagged me a bit ngl 😂
But why is Santiago kinda hot to me? (I know he's a pos, but still!!!). Also where is the chess player Claudia we saw in season 1? I know my girl wanted a family but where is her self awareness? I don't think I'll be able to handle the coming episides😢😮
Me, too. Santi totally gives me lady wood. And when he showed his forearm to share his blood with Claudia, I was hoping for a scene of him shirtless before he kicks the bucket…caz if the arms are that great, the abs must be fantastic!
@casapiccola6630 yesssss!!! Like I know Louis is suppose to be the fairest of them all, but the way Santiago be standing! *whew chilleee* he has serious sex appeal to me!
I love Daniel 😊
I thought the play was a cultural sickness and the romantic relationship with madeleine compounded it. Claudia was on her own from start to finish and was looking for a place in this world only to find there isn’t one. Louis was a perfect failure when it came to Claudia. Claudia bio father was her first failure and it never stopped. I found Claudia character the most relatable.
Claudia can't catch a break
, well most black women can't unfortunately
We're being our judgemental selves as the mortals we are, but just think if you had to deal with your lovers and your exs for ETERNITY, we'd all be messy, and need therapy because as a mortal, you know your time is finite, so ain't nobody got time for this, but when you're immortal, you've got all the time in the world to be petty, to hurt folk, to make-up, to break-up, to trauma bond, and on and on because you can't share who you are with mortals and you know they'll die or you'll kill them if you do.
now that would be a great novel or movie: the vampire therapist. we can decide later if the therapist will be one man, mortal or vampire
You never fail to make me laugh!!!!!!! 😂😂😂
💞🌹YOU MAKE MONDAYS FUN🌹💞
Louie pissed me off. You know your man is the leader and he is trying to keep everyone in line. Why would you answer a question that wasn’t directed to you… then you start a fight. Now I gotta jump in… Armand is clearly a blouse dom top and I’m here for it
Congratulations on first "writing baby" ❤
The show stressing me out
Omg! I love you!!!! I just found your channel!!! You are hilarious! Fantastic review!
I was waiting for your review I love you new subscriber 🎉
As an expert on Anne Rice’s novels, I want to prepare everyone. Your hearts will be shattered soon, and let me give a clue…Lestat’s isn’t the Bad Guy, actually Louis is the most selfish, passive aggressive. Louis was pitiful as a human also a damn liar as a vamp.
But how do you know who is telling the truth? They are all unreliable narrators, Louis, Armand and Lestat, so there is no real bad guy and I think that was her point
Omg I’m new to you babyyy but I’ll be backkkk!!!!!!! ❤❤❤❤
Bababe....I was waiting for this breakdown.....I need the Keee😂😅 Claudia read Louis for FILTH!😭
Maitre is French for master..armand saying that to Louie caught me..what is that, some race play sh*t..
Right, just when he let's go over Lestat he becomes the dominant or leader of the relationship.
I don’t think it’s a race play thing but more so a power play. Louis is used to being a pimp while Armand’s past is him being a sex slave. Armand letting Louis be his master is saying that he does not want the stress of being leader of the coven while with him. He wants them to switch roles for a bit so someone else can wear that title cause it’s a heavy burden to wear that crown. It’s more of a dom and sub thing. Like “I’m tired of being in charge. Take control of me.”
Armand is letting Louie think he has control. The power dynamic switch up is crazy in this show!! Probably something wrong with me but I thought it was smexy AF!!!
@@tanishadee3883yeah, something is definitely wrong with you but I think most people that watch the show do 😂😂😂
I think we forgot Louis was a whole pimp I think he’s pimping Armand and I don’t like this dynamic. And maître basically means master in French. He making that boy call him massa 🤢🤮 a very nasty dynamic
Yeah, I didn't like that exchange at all at the end. He let's go of Dream Lestat to become the controlling partner of some kind idk.
I kept thinking they were calling him "teacher" the Latin meaning. It's more sinister as master.
did you see the new preview for IWTV?! ITS TEAAAA
Dear God,
Please let Claudia and Dressmaker Lady run away and live happily, sapphicly ever after in West Berlin.
If that is not Your Will, at least let them re-create the scythe scene from the movie whenever spit hits the fan. Please 😖??
Sincerely 🙏🏾
my gay ass when your gay ass says louis is being way too gay 😂😂😂😂
I have so many questions because of that bih named Armand, like sir get out of me head 😭! This episode I saw a vampire in the troup that reminded me that in Armand’s retelling of his first meetings with Lestat to Daniel, he said that all the members of his satanic coven k*lled themselves after Lestat change their views on vampirism, ok_ but why I see a bih that was living in the trenches with Armand now he is living “lavish” in the theatre des vampires. Like what is the truth, Armand?
This episode I wanted to jump through the screen and punch everyone but Claudia and Daniel (he needs to get his memories back quickly ‘cause Delu-Louis won’t).
Your reactions are the BEST! ❤
Don't sweat.
Whatever happens to Claudia....
We, the audience
Will do to Little Lamb Louis
And Ol Man LeStat 😀
🚶🏿
😂😂
I love Claudia and the actress is amazing, not a slight to her at all. It’s just hard to fully believe her struggle as a little girl when she appears older. She’s an older teenager/ young adult, & would not have the same issues as a 5 year old Claudia 😅
I slightly disagree. Her being trapped in a teenager's body is just as frustrating. Claudia is in her 40s at this point but society sees her as a child. Men don't want her. Women don't want her. Only teens, who don't appeal to Claudia. It still makes sense.
Claudia isn't in the body of a 5 year old though. She's in the body and mind of a 14 year old but she's in her 40s. That's why she can be volatile at times.
The thing is, this Claudia, that's stuck as a 14 year old has a different struggle than did Claudia stuck as a 5 year old.
This Claudia has to be stuck in a constant state of puberty with all the highs and lows and all the intensity and irrationality that comes with being a teenager and she's going to have to be like this, a grown woman stuck as teenager with all the hormones of one as well for the rest of eternity.
Like she told Madeleine in this episode, it always feels like she wants to go bang and then Madeleine tells her to go bang and then go back to being normal and then go bang again. Rinse and repeat.
This is my interpretation of her struggle as well the fact that the world will always treat her as a kid.
They'll never really take her seriously and most that would want to be involved with her romantically will probably be creeps.
In the book and the movie there was on person Claudia could depend on and that was lestat notice what happens shortly after she leaves him smh
This version of Claudia makes no sense. She's not an immortal 6 year old that can't function without Louis.
Just leave, Louis is a fuckboy and you're in danger from that coven. Just go!
