To be fair. The furry fandom is one of those that have a loooot of LGBTQ+ folks who can't at all express some of their basic needs irl, horny or whatever else, depending on where they live, what their surroundings are like. As in, there's still a lot of us who get oppressed and silenced just for being gay or trans or whatever. I mean look at LGBTQ+ bars n clubs irl, people are gonna be waaay more open about this stuff in general in places that are more open for them to be free. And sexual topics? That's just human stuff. Straight folks have done it for ever, like the infamous "just guys being guys" sayings, with their avidly horny talks about girls n everything without much, if any backlash. It appears in billboards, all kinds of media, movies, advertisements etc. All straight stuff. And most people are absolutely used to seeing it, to a point you might not even notice it irl because it's so common. But when others do it, it's suddenly a shock, because yeah, it hasn't been the norm.
Honestly so true for the horny groups. Though I see more gag/meme ones that are just so weird it almost always strikes a conversation with at least a few people.

I am honestly mind boggled each and every time that such putrid behavior is openly displayed to public audiences and individuals who clearly do not want to hear or see such vile things. I do wonder if their parents, or friends, or even strangers, ever memtioned to them that they should filter what they talk about. Then again, with how open certain people are about their vagrant actions, especially some furries, I just assume they were either unfortunate enough to not be told that, or they were given every chance, but chose to ignore the advice insisted upon them. Most times this happens, as well as the variably high amounts of toxicity, narcissism, and perversion in the furry fandom, I think about wanting to establish connections or a collaboration between many of the influential parts of the fandom that are against these things. How we could create an initiative to inform, enforce, and regulate things in the fandom somehow to the point that these issues downgrade. Then, I hesitate, because I remember how divided the fandom is, especially when concerning 18+ topics. However, someday, I or someone else will look past that partition in this fandom, and will somehow succeed in the endeavors to fix tge issues that have been building onto themselves for decades, ever since the creation of the fandom. To all who argue that the inappropriate content, the drama, the toxicity, and the general bad of the fandom is normal and that there we either can't or shouldn't do anything about, because these things exist in every community, I want to remind you that these issues are only a problem in the furry fandom because they dominate and covet most of the communities held within the fandom. It doesn't help that people who enter this fandom are given a culture shock, like I was when I entered a year ago, because we were expecting a wholesome and accepting community like we were told, but instead given this fragment collection of people. It also doesn't help that most people who enter the fandom are taught and influenced by perverts and narcissists, the unacceptable behaviors that rampantly flood this fandom, acting as a sort of positive feedback loop, as those people would later go on to corrupt newer members of the fandom. While I do not actively know the solutions required to at least solve the problem of NSFW appropriation and normalization in the fandom, I do know that gatekeeping minors or anyone else in the fandom will not solve the problem, but only slow its effects. This is also consistent with the high toxicity in the fandom, as well as the narcissism. If we are to solve these issues, we need to come together to think, arrange, participate, and enforce the answers to these problems. Another thing, to everyone who thinks that these problems cannot be surmounted, and that we have all the time in the world, like you and your older friends have said years ago, I would like to bring attention to the increasing hostility encroaching outside of the fandom, especially among popular media outlets and political parties. This directly threatens the entire fandom. Communities often die or break apart when an outside party or will forces the community apart. Consider this: once again, a popular furry con is littered with a myriad of problems, including sexual harassment and exploitation. Suppose a group of high-end conservative politicians who have aligned their aggression against the furry fandom, hears about this. What do you think they will do? My interpretation, is that they will try, and posdibly succeed, in passing a bill that makes furry con setup, organization, and initiation illegal in the US. This fact, and how it grows increasingly more likely, is a constant reminder that we have no time, and we need to put our heads together now, and think of an answer to these problems now. While I am not as familiar with the VRChat community as I am with the furry fandom, I would also like to discuss how, despite their situation being far less severe than the furry fandom, the VRChat fandom is still unhealthily contaminated with high amounts of narcissism, perversion, and toxicity. Every community has these things, yes, but a healthy community limits these things and enforces rules that overtake these issues. The fact that these aspects of both the VRChat community and the furry fandom is NOT an excuse to feign indifference. It is an irresponsible downplay of these issues. Finally, I would like to end things on a high note, to make my insistence known and acknowledged. If things continue, and the furry fandom breaks apart because of politics, of outward hostilities, of ubiquitous problems and unanimous indifference in the fandom, what do you think will happen to every other community?
I have a question. Where did Furry get so much money to buy expensive equipment for these games? In addition, they have money for pictures and furry costumes. My computer barely pulls adobe animate or minecraft with mods
Good question. Though one answer might be that a looooot of furs do stuff like IT work(a metric heckton in this sector), engineering, medical.. so forth. The big boi important jobs. Also, artists can make a fair amount too. Though, to be fair, there's so many of us at this point, while that part is true, there's also a lot of us who aren't that monetarily sound at all.
