Stray dog in Moscow Metro
Vložit
- čas přidán 8. 10. 2019
- This dog was observed in Moscow Metro (underground rail) on 6th of October 2019.
It was interesting to see that dog was not only using public transport but also was following public transport etiquette e.g. going deeper into cart to let people in on station, finding the most convenient position latter and moving closer to the exit before stop...
For those who interested. The yellow ear tag means this stray dog was captured, vaccinated (including rabies), desexed and released back into environment.
Quantity of stray dogs in Moscow well exceeds possible capacity of animal refuges to handle them. This approach is being seen by public as a more humane than destroying animals. From what I read this type of programmes exist on public donations.
Такой славный песик,он зашел в метро не случайно, он вышел на станции ,,Курская,, и он знает куда и зачем идет.Собака с отличным интеллектом.💯🧡💛💚💥

in the Moscow metro you don't need a train schedule - they arrive every 5 minutes or so between 5:30 AM and 01:00 AM. the dog certainly knows his way around though! so smart
Love these people not insult or harm the dog… In my hometown Beijing, stray dogs are poorly treated. Many bystander throwing stone and kicking them for no reason. I used to give them some food when i come back to my hometown.
In Australia, this doggo would be taken to a shelter straight away and adopted in a heartbeat.
Chinese are bad people, it's good that you help these poor animals, if I witness any aggression, I would do the same to them
@@aumelb in developed countries you don't find dogs abandoned on the street because the people are aware and the government doesn't let them breed in the street.
@rheyder aredes occasionally, a dog can be lost or even abandoned. Most people would act if they saw a stray dog in the street and wouldn't just let it wander around. Most dogs would be microchipoed, so it's easy to identify an owner.
Да у собаки даже лапы помыты, и шерсть лоснится, глаза без грязи.. Мне кажется что она даже спит на мягонькой, чистенькой, тепленькой подстилке.
He's not stray he's Free and independent.
Ахах да😂
Stray dogs are the most social dogs. Friendliest as they are always around people.
That is a lie. If you're going to lie then at least make it believable, you're just being insulting.
Cook them!
True , they aren't anxious around people like pet ones

He presents himself as a good boy. So smart. This is so interesting. Dogs are courageous, we bred them to be that way, so now they're bold enough to do this if they are wild.

I've heard that the dogs have worked out a system where the smallest dog approaches people to try and get food. Then the larger ones gather.
Which station was this? Which day of week? What time of day? I would like to go to Moscow and see a dog riding the subway, too!
Села на "Площади Революции", вышла на "Курской".
Send it to china's yulin festival. That stray dog would make a nutricious contribution.
The stray dogs come from Suburbs to anywhere around circle line to central of Moscow, and in the evening they ride metro back to the suburbs ..
they are not allowed in the metro but they often sneak in when the securities aren't watching
@@TsarOfRuss Haha! Do the older dogs get a senior citizen dicount? Are you serious that dogs take a train to and from Moscow? How do they know the schedule? Not being ignorant, but this is hillarious!
@@hugbug4408 Russia not same with china
Australian in me: "Why nobody takes this doggo to a shelter? Where is his collar? Why are people in Russia so cold-hearted and indifferent and just ignore him?"
Commenters from China: "Wow people are so kind to the dog, they let it ride a train and don't abuse."
But how many never leave the shelter? In the US, we put down about a million per year, this is better
@Melania tha PUMP about 40,000 dogs are killed per year in Australian pounds, about 20% of total intake. Overwhelmingly, they are what considered dangerous or controlled breeds like pitbulls. Coincidentally, these breeds are the ones that are most often surrendered by their owners.
'Safe' breeds have a high chance of being adopted and rehomed. Some shelters here have waiting lists and are choosy with who they adopt out to.
@@aumelb ah, it's so sad to me, I would rather see them on a giant reserve or something. And our shelters can be so choosy too, some refusing you if you don't have a big enough fence. One just called the police on me cuz I wouldn't bring a dog there that had been dropped off at our farm by her human "mom" cuz I said I was just calling to make sure nobody reported one missing and that I was going to keep her and integrate her into our doberman breeding program if she wasn't spayed, find her a home myself if she was... The shelter lady told me "that's immoral" and sent the police to my house who luckily let her stay! We did end up finding her human dad and his son who were not aware what the mom had done, so she is back home and the mom is gone (for now). And it turns out the dog almost constantly dribbles urine cuz that's what happens to like half of doberman females when spayed, like the shelter wanted to force on her. Anyway, we tell everybody we give pups to to bring them back to us if they no longer want them, like I wish all breeders would. It's never happened though.
Shelter, really....? That's beyond stressful for dogs....prisons with other stressed out dogs. And how many are euthanized?
@classics39 in Australia, most dogs get adopted out of shelters. How stressful it is depends on the shelter's practices. Again, in Australia volunteers give each dog individual attention and walk them every day. Behavioural specialists also work with dogs that have behavioural issues (as a result of previous trauma or neglect) to make them ready for adoption and vets trea any health conditions they may have. They also assess any potential adopters to make sure a dogs goes into a responsible family. Much better than just letting stray dogs stay in the streets.
these dogs are always well behaved. dont make a mess. far better than some of the people there..
Well, to be fair, some of the Russian strays will sneak up on someone eating street food and bark at them from behind to get them to drop it in startlement. No harm intended, but just a little scare. =^[.]^=
@@Raycheetah as i said, clever dogs...times are hard, one has to use every trick in the book. but as one can see the dog is clean, no flea ridden, rib showing, starving -mongrel-. the dogs know how to take care of themselves, and Muscovites, including me, always had and have, even now still, a big heart!

Hi Sergey, could i maybey use this footage for my video? I point out 5 facts related to vehicles, this one being that Moscow trains have dog passengers ( : Thanks in advance for the reply! Awwwwww so cute!!
That dog is so happy Haha what are the tags for?
Hi Jessica. The tag is explained in the video description.
The tags in a lot of countries means that they have been castrated and vaccinated
@@younghefner8343 The nation that employs that preventiveness is smart!! That's what needs to be done. If you want your pet to breed then there should be selective certificates issued by govt. and, maybe, a small fee to initiate this!

Tags are attached to the dog's ears. What is that?
Whats that thing on his ear?
The ear tags on stray dogs are an identification mark indicating that the individual has been sterilized, vaccinated against rabies, treated for parasites, and released back into its habitat.

People need to pay, card or something to ride in a train. Stray dogs can go to train for free
Yeah, but what if dogs were a police canine patrol , and retired? Believe me, there is such a thing where dogs employed by police, after a certain amount of years, are elligible for a pension!! Do they get a discount on public transportarion?

That dog didn’t have a ticket!
HE IS NOT ALONE HE HAS THE WHOLE RUSSIAN FAMILY
Do they really know where to get on and off the train? Or it just happens by chance.
Yes. This dog really knows where he is going and where to go. Previously, such dogs could often be found in the Moscow metro. Now sometimes they meet. These dogs don't ride the subway during rush hour. They go there when it's not crowded. In winter, these dogs go to the subway to sleep. It's cold outside . Cleaners are required to expel dogs from the subway. So they run to the train and sleep there. To do this, they board a train on the metro ring line. The train goes in a circle, and there the dog sleeps peacefully. If she wants to eat or drink ..... in any cafe near the metro they will feed her. Passers-by also feed these dogs. Water in the fountain. In winter, snow instead of water. It's all good when they don't get sick. If they get sick.......then they will be taken to a shelter. They are being treated there. but they are no longer allowed into the city. And no one takes adult dogs from these shelters. These are large dogs and they are used to living on the street. When Luzhkov was the mayor of Moscow... Moscow dogs were not taken to the shelter. They were treated in veterinary clinics, castrated, microchipped and released into the city. Now take it to the shelter if the dog is sick. I don’t know .... Maybe they are killed there. But they don't come back from the shelter. They always came back from the veterinary clinic.

This is done by the city administration and private charitable organizations. There were protests against dog shelters in Moscow. People do not believe that these dogs are happy in shelters. Look... this dog is healthy, well-fed and free. He is in front of everyone. But in the shelter no one sees him except the shelter staff. Maybe he's not alive.

This dog is not homeless. He got
lost in Petersburg. Then he went to the subway and began to look for the route along which he was traveling with the owner. This has been written and reported. The owner was also looking for him. But the dog found it himself. It is unlikely that he remembered the name of the desired station. He memorized what the desired station looked like. Therefore, he carefully watches when the doors open. Dogs that ride the subway all the time don't. They listen as the announcer announces the station they want and exit.

These people will sell strays to dog meat markets. It keeps fhe stray population down, and it's a lucrative business in which some money gets back to their economy.
Now steeling pets should be strictly enforced as breaking the law. Strict rules need apply! Also, thorough inspections to prevent diseases in spreading throughout the world!
But, the dog meat market is pepoes perogative and keeps strays down and strays potentially can spread diseases!
