Thanks fir watching and joining the channel
That is a bad ass truck. I love it.
What is sweet rig! Can sure tell previous owners took good care of it. I'd forgotten of the perforated planking used in the military. Thanks too for beautiful scenery! Stay safe!
Such a beautiful truck love the cat cold start. You could get a magnet signs for your doors to use when you haul something then take them off when home. Keep up the good work and stay safe out there.
I am totally jealous!
That has to be the coolest truck I have ever seen. Glad you found it 😁
In the Midwest we called these Internationals, Binders. My dad had a new Binder diesel in 1956 that we had set up with a grain trailer that we ran all over Texas and Oklahoma.
Awesome truck with an awesome history. Glad you were able to keep the history alive. The Cat diesel and six speed with 2-speed rear. This truck is a work horse with class!
Gotta LOVE the No Trespassing sign 😎 almost as good as the truck!
So cool I grew up with IH my Dad worked on IH most of his life and it in my blood 😀
That is *the truck* you need for your business and to grow your channel! Such a nice find! I live in the mid-west (Missouri) been around countless farms with old IH's and I've NEVER seen a sundance edition. Must be pretty rare. I'd keep that thing around for good 😁👍 Great video
Absolutely Amazing. Wonderful story. She is a Beauty. Thank You for saving her. Stay safe. Until Your next video.
Beautiful Truck 🚒
She’s a beaut. PSP( perforated steel planking) is what the bed is made from. We were still using it in the British Military in the mid 80’s. 😎🇬🇧
I think that truck should be called Tango after the Orange drink 👍🏻
Man, Casey missed out on this one! I love the orange and white and think I would keep the hand painted logo. Thanks for sharing your journey and the sweet ride!
Cool. I grew up on a farm in Idaho. I drove a gas load star for a neighbor once. We wired cans of food to the engine for a while to eat. Had to be careful not to leave it too long.
We had that metal in Vietnam at the 93rd Evacuation Hospital airfield (helicopters). We called it PSP (portable steel plate). I was the senior tower operator (45th Medical Company - “Dustoff”). 1968-1970
Thank you for your service sir
Very cool find!!
The name of the material on the bed is Marston matting.
I have such a soft spot for Loadstars. Thousands of were built in the IH factories where my dad worked in my hometown when I was a boy - I saw hundreds of them new, lined up outside a factory waiting for delivery. I rode to and from school every day on a Loadstar based bus and our roads were cleared of snow by Loadstar dump trucks. The small business where I worked right out of high school had a Loadstar box truck.
They are one of America's historical workhorses.
Oh, I had a 1966 LoadStar 1600 camper bus, and drove IH trucks and bus for 13 years. Love is the understatement.
Sweet truck
More road trip footage of each truck find (in the future), please. This was awesome!
Yes, it is nice to see a scenic view while driving to pick up the truck.
Awesome truck!
magnet sign✌
Awesome old truck from a era when things were built with pride . Besides the cool bed and transfer tank & pump the headache rack is pretty badass too . 406 garage would be hard pressed to find a better truck to represent your business . Love the channel and content & glad Casey finally talked you into starting a channel !
Thank you very much for joining the channel . Yes the ramp truck is here to stay , to say I'm excited about it would be an understatement.
Awesome 👌
wow that truck is quite rare never seen one up here in the north east
A magnet decal with your business logo would be a good way to cover the painted logo that you can take on and off whenever is convenient and preserve the history.
That Truck is So Flipen AWESOME !!!👍👍👍
Nice
Great truck, Ben.
Nice rig brother 👍👍👍
Pretty much the coolest truck ever
I saw you rolling through Sisters in this. It's very cool.
Looking forward to your videos, I came over from Casey's and I'm LOVING the old trucks.
Same here.
Amazing Truck with a Fun History!
That is one good looking truck! As soon as Y saw the deck, I knew what the material was!
Cool story cool truck 😃
Such a cool truck! I suggest keeping the hand-painted doors and then have a magnetic overlay sign with your logo made. That way you can have an unmolested original truck but your logo when you want it.
Beautiful truck. I would leave the hand painted logos....
The CAT is a good, but expensive motor. The DT466 was a great motor and the Loadstar was a good reliable truck to drive.
Awesome find....
Awesome truck, I'm anxious to see where it was built. I work for Navistar "International" in Springfield Ohio. Good chance that's where it was built. 🙂👍
Back in the late '70s on i-70 I would see them actually driving the International school bus chassis (no cab, just the front clip from the firewall forward) from Springfield to the Wayne bus assembly plant in Richmond Indiana.. They put something like a motorcycle windshield in front of the driver and a seat on the chassis and he was sitting out in the open. Must have been a fair weather job. They had two chassis piggybacked on the one they drove. But Wayne has been closed for a long time now, last time I went by the factory building was still there and whoever owns it was renting out business space.
Coolest rig I've seen you rescue so far, Ben!!! Love it!!!❤️❤️
So cool, been looking forward to this video. Thanks for sharing it
imho, leave the doors as is, and if you really want to, put your logo etc below it, on the bed, hood, or?
These steel plates are called Marston Mat / Marston Plate and were produced from 1941.
Love hearing the stories from the vehicles 👍🏽👍🏽🇬🇧🇬🇧
Cool old truck but of course all internationals are cool. Great job keep rescuing them 👍👍
That's an amazing truck! Thanks for sharing.
That's a real truck, no electric crap will ever come close to it
I am going to step on dangerous ground.. when I show your videos to people, they keep saying "Will he ever shut up and show the truck?" I am telling you this cause your telling very good stuff but to just stand and talk is real tough... this is meant nice so you can organise maybe a little more showing while you tell the back stories... I want to hear them too. I see part two so am going to go there... what a beauty
I have one that's the same year and color but it has 404gas.
"History"! I like that better than 'provenance'.
Great find and great story as always. Keep the logo. It can be a part of your story.
Been waiting for this one ever since you teased it on Casey's channel! Such a cool hauler!
And they do dimpling in air craft construction so they can run conduit anywhere to anywhere in a air craft.
Absolutely beautiful Truck!. Have your logo painted on a magnetic sign to cover the Coitos without having to ruin it. Keeps the stories coming.
Beautiful truck...disc or drum brakes up front?
Sweet. Why don't you put your LOGO on a magnetic sign board mounted on each side under the Coitos.
I can't say I have seen a Loadstar with Cat from factory
Very awesome truck and great video 👍the only way it could of been any better is if Casey made it with you lol
Leave the logo get a magnetic sign to go over it
Save off a door & give it to him. Replace the door & paint it the way you like
the bed is made out of marston mat
Don't paint over the trucks logo. Get a magnetic logo with your design to put over it when your hauling cargo. You can also use the magnetic logo on other vehicles then.
I don't think that you should paint you logo on the door. Get a magnet made that can cover over that logo, so that you can take it off when your not out and keeping the paint all the same tone
Hey, any idea where I can get a replacement window seal? I just got a 78 and it needs replacing.
Beautiful truck!
Ihpartsamerica.com
It's a 1160 or 3208 in it? 🤔
Is there some reason why you didn't show much of the interior and didn't show the engine or engine compartment at all?
Does the 1750 have juice brakes? or air brakes?
406.. Montana?
Yes
6 speed with 2 speed rear is different
Lmao your driving a Toyota
That big logo in the right hand bottom corner is very distracting
As soon as I saw the back Decking I knew it was the Stuff they used for Runways
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marston_Mat
Oh and here is the Runway mat you mentioned. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marston_Mat
