I am still in my first year myself but here's one thing that I am starting to figure out: everyone will have advice for you, which is nice, until your start getting different opinions on what is best that all make a lot of sense but are in contradiction with each other. That's when you realize that ultimately it is up to you to get it together and find your own path to the version of success that works best to you, whatever that is.

I agree! That is what I did and I am so much more relaxed as a professor now that I have my own methods of instruction.

I'm still unclear how they have changed at my institution. I'm hoping someone explains that soon. I assume that these changes vary across contexts. What is it like for you?
