Based on George R.R. Martin’s book Fire & Blood, the series will tell the story of House Targaryen and take place 300 years before the events of Game of Thrones.
Staring: Paddy Considine, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Matt Smith, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, Rhys Ifans, and Sonoya Mizuno.
Martin and Ryan Condal will serve as co-creators on the series.
Miguel Sapochnik and Condal will be showrunners, and the pair will also serve as executive producers along with Martin, Vince Gerardis, Sara Lee Hess and Ron Schmidt.
Clare Kilner and Geeta V. Patel will also direct the series. Greg Yaitanes is director and co-executive producer.
Ramin Djawadi will score the series.

It does. Remember when they believed that dragons were last seen 300 years ago? And it turned to be a legend? But Daenerys came along with 3 dragons. So yeah, the House of the Dragon is set 300 years before since people of Game of Thrones believed dragons were last seen 300 years ago.
