Tweaked the colour correction and corrected the aspect ratio as well as added enhanced audio.

For me, the fact that Eddie is prepared to play the keyboard and let Sammy jump about playing guitar and playing the solo just shows that Eddie was so confident in his own abilities that he never felt threatened and could let someone else play on one of their most famous songs.
Its great that he was able to step to the side like that. Too bad Ronnie Montrose was not able to do that as well. Montrose would have been another supergroup.
Well, Eddie did it until he didn’t. It was kinda lame to play the keyboards prerecorded over a speaker when you have a decent guitarist like Sammy.
5150 in my opinion is the greatest VanHalen album ever. Eddie stepping to the side for keyboard and letting Sammy take the light on guitar tells us a lot about the relationship they had at the time. Sammy took VanHalen to a level they never could have reached with roth
@Shawn White agreed! It hit all the bases and being the first without DLR who probably shit himself when he heard the entire album makes it even better. Sammy said I can play guitar very well, Eddie has a vastly superior guitar vocabulary. Actual track 5150 is probably my favorite EVH song ever! I wish they would have patched things up earlier but the virus of DLR wouldn't go away. That dude is an absolute embarrassment on stage regardless of past accomplishments. The first 3 albums with Sammy and EVH are just special, not many bands can pull that off. Sammy brought ideas to the table and I think as long as he could convince Eddie they were Eddie's it was all good.

5150 was the best of all times. I will never get tired of it. I drive to work listening to it every morning Sammy is the voice of Van Halen.

Ed was THE guitar player. Full stop. He reinvented the thing. But he was also a great songwriter. He pumped out hits for almost 20 years. Yngwie, Vai, Satriani... are all monster players. None of them have ever written a hit song. None of them can touch Ed.
Thanks Sammy for helping Eddie out. I know you loved him like his fans, but he just wanted to do keyboards for awhile. He is so humble & shy !!!

Yes the two brothers gave Van Halen it’s name but David Lee Roth did not fit in with this band.Sammy Hagar was the best by far.
No question. They're one of my all time favorite bands strictly from the Hagar era.
They would not have "been" without Dave ....but Sammy took it up a level
They were 2 different bands. With Dave, they were a guitar band and didn't need a great singer and Dave fit perfectly. With sammy, they were a vocal and keyboard band because Sammy is a much better singer so Eddie didn't have to stand out as much.
I thought when sammy came to the band it was the best move ever.and I love Alex's drums.the whole group is awesome and look way better with sammy,(more relaxed,and synced)

Yes. I have watched and loved this band with all of their lead singers. All of their lead singers were great in their way. I love old school VH with Dave. But I agree, with Sammy they peaked musically and vocally. That's hard for me to say.

Hard to believe it's the end of an era but maybe not as long our kids listen to this infamous group. LONG LIVE EDDIE.
