Amma's take on Sang e Mah is absolutely right. We need to learn to not romanticize and glorify suicide and this is something our dramas have been doing for quite a while now. It's always the ending of a show that they ruin by rushing the drama. There are a lot of better ways to end a drama rather than promoting suicide and "trying" to justify it. I am saying it a psychologist, media should be very careful in covering sensitive topics like suicide. We need to realize that suicide is not always the end of it all and i can't remember the last time our TV conveyed such a positive message when it comes to suicide rather than romanticizing it the way they did in Sang e Mah.
I completely agree with amma on sang e mah's end. The drama could've easily has atleast 2 more episodes until a proper end. They didn't even advertise it's last episode or second last episode. Especially with a drama that was this good

Absolutely right, my 15 years old was watching it with me and when it ended, he said mama ye Tu haram maut mar gae na. Ye Tu seede jahanum mei jainge. Aisa end kio Kia, These were his exact words . Worst end of an amazing drama. Plus I don't know whether it's a rumour or true that Pathan community was offended with the unreasonable projection of that chaddar which was worn by Sania Saeed. And due to many such reasons they just abruptly wrapped it up like this . Sang e mah's ending totally disappointed like "Haji" committing suicide, the one who has followed Islam always used to go by its law did something which is clearly haram. If they have to show both of them dead they might have done it in a natural way,obviously they were involved in a murder so making them live "happily after" would be little unrealistic so either there would have been some punishment or they could have shown Haji died due to intense pressure and all and could have involved some track with Zarsanga too but not suicide at all. Fraud is not living upto expectations like if they have to show parents being so hasten about Maya's marriage they could have atleast shown her 28-30 not 24, she is educated why they don't want her to get her carrier established first like come on marriage is not the ultimate goal specially when she is just 24.And I understand Nael's hurt frustration but this is not a justification for him running on the nikaah day. Sticking to BB only because of Farhan, I agree it's about BB so the people and scenes related to her would be shown more but almost have of the show is done,want to see more of Yasir and Farhan hoping it from the next episode. Hope this doesn't get a rushed unsatisfied end like Hum tum, Ishq e laa. Started watching Mere humsafar, still sticking to it because of Farhan otherwise tbh it's has become a typical drama,Hala herself knows she isn't cheating Hamza and even knows he is understanding broad minded and isn't going to judge her like others so what's the problem in telling, on one hand she talks about being strong and the next moment she comes crying, better let Hamza know rather than getting know that through someone else because that would for sure break his trust and will create misunderstanding,his anger and hurt would be justified but I am sure again at this they will show Hala as a bechari and him as a typical man. Habs is although Basit= elder Rumi but it's engaging because of the three sisters story going on and yes Feroz and Ushnah's chemistry is adorable and Dania as Bano hands down the best thing in the drama she deserves a lot of appreciation.
I like the make up which doesn't hide her actual complexion, instead of thopa thapi or Gora chitta. Promoting actual colour complexion with same colour foundation stick, which is a daring step for the ordinary mindset to bring about the change of Gori or Chitti skin.

Sang e mah's last episode was such a let down. The jirga was hyped as some sort of judgment day but turned out totally flat. They must've added the deaths to create some impact but it didn't fit.

I agree with that suicidal scenes should be banned. But apart from that the ending was good. We are so much used to typical endings with all the main cast present at the end hugging and smiling etc. Hilmand on a prayer mat was the best curtain drop ❤

Sange Mah is a trilogy. So there will be another part coming, that’s why the vague end. However I completely agree with Amma that romanticising suicide has been the biggest mistake of this series.

I am highly disappointed on ending of Sang e Mah. Showing Suicide (running away from situation) of an adult couple in this way makes me disgusted on so many levels. 1. Haji Marjan was part of a murder in his young age, now he was mature old man who has been portrayed as a muslim who has strong soulful connection to Allah (referring to the meetings of Haji Marjan with Molana SB) 2. Writer has shown very weak Eman of a woman who murdered his own husband with the help of love of her life but now she has convinced him again in old age for Suicide. 3. I couldn't digest how Hilmand change his mind, they should have shown at least in flash back. Where is connection between Allah n a man? A soulful connection and Trust in Almighty is a key to success for a Muslim. Showing Suicide of elderly couple without knowing result of court was childish, running away from situation was childish. The narrative of fear of society can lead you to suicide is ok but showing no faith in God has disappointed me. It's high time for Pakistani Drama writers and producers to go deep in narratives they are setting in dramas as their Dramas can impact many lives.

Was waiting for ama's review after watching sang e maah episode.it was so illogical. The end was not romantic at all. they were glorifying suicide. The whole story,dialogues, performances were mind-blowing but the end ruined the masterpiece.

If you understand the genre of drama, then you'd know why they committed suicide. It was no regular drama. It had a lot of depth in it. No one is justifying/glorifying their suicide but it had to end like that. They were murderers who committed a cold blood murder without anyone knowing. When law is taken in someone's hand and then that person becomes the ruler of town, it just doesn't add up. Haji Marjan led a respectable life and he just couldn't bear the notion of being ridicule in whole society. Writer just couldn't give happy ending to murderers then it would have been glorifying the murder.

Habs is the most intruiging drama at the moment! Its the only drama I dont skip a single moment of! KTK just creates a HUGE HYPE from promos,teasers, but when those scenes are telecasted in the episode its really boring and not impactful! I thought habs was gonna be most boring from teasers, but its the most entertaining! it shows you shouldn't judge a book by its cover! inKTK mehak's father doesn't stop acting like a bichara which gets sooo irratating to watch! I mean, if these happen to ur daughter, u wouldnt cry, you would stand up to her strongly!!! in habs ushna shah's voice is enough to capture the audience, she sounds strong-headed, and her dialouge delievery is really good unlike other actresses, apart from Saba Qamar, Sajal Aly and the girl playing Banno in Habs (my opinion)

I felt disgusted after watching suicide it felt like all positively of serial was overshadowed with this suicide Ps: we all know someone has to die because it was adaption of Shakespeare Hamlet but suicide wasn't a way and such romantic , glorified suicide no way ! While I also think sang e mAh has been wrapped up early because there are some scenes in ost which are not shown and there wasn't any advertisment of 2 last episode too

Fraud is not living upto expectations like if they have to show parents being so hasten about Maya's marriage they could have atleast shown her 28-30 not 24, she is educated why they don't want her to get her carrier established first like come on marriage is not the ultimate goal specially when she is just 24.And I understand Nael's hurt frustration but this is not a justification for him running on the nikaah day.
Sticking to BB only because of Farhan, I agree it's about BB so the people and scenes related to her would be shown more but almost have of the show is done,want to see more of Yasir and Farhan hoping it from the next episode. Hope this doesn't get a rushed unsatisfied end like Hum tum, Ishq e laa.
Started watching Mere humsafar, still sticking to it because of Farhan otherwise tbh it's has become a typical drama,Hala herself knows she isn't cheating Hamza and even knows he is understanding broad minded and isn't going to judge her like others so what's the problem in telling, on one hand she talks about being strong and the next moment she comes crying, better let Hamza know rather than getting know that through someone else because that would for sure break his trust and will create misunderstanding,his anger and hurt would be justified but I am sure again at this they will show Hala as a bechari and him as a typical man.
Habs is although Basit= elder Rumi but it's engaging because of the three sisters story going on and yes Feroz and Ushnah's chemistry is adorable and Dania as Bano hands down the best thing in the drama she deserves a lot of appreciation.
Amma in habs drama the youngest sister is dark complexioned in reality! Please dont make insensitive comments calling her scary and african
I like the make up which doesn't hide her actual complexion, instead of thopa thapi or Gora chitta. Promoting actual colour complexion with same colour foundation stick, which is a daring step for the ordinary mindset to bring about the change of Gori or Chitti skin.

Sang e mah's last episode was such a let down. The jirga was hyped as some sort of judgment day but turned out totally flat. They must've added the deaths to create some impact but it didn't fit.

I agree with that suicidal scenes should be banned. But apart from that the ending was good. We are so much used to typical endings with all the main cast present at the end hugging and smiling etc. Hilmand on a prayer mat was the best curtain drop ❤

For the most part, I agreed with Amma’s take on Sang e Mah. HOWEVER, I genuinely believe, unn dono ka marna he banta tha. (the parents) They literally didn’t care about Hilmand, idk how much they cared about their other kid. They saw him “rebelling” and distancing himself and they were like oh well, shit happens, dafa ho fer?! Nah they deserved to suffer more 🙃 They ruined his life they were too busy “jaanu-ing” eachother.

I am highly disappointed on ending of Sang e Mah. Showing Suicide (running away from situation) of an adult couple in this way makes me disgusted on so many levels.
1. Haji Marjan was part of a murder in his young age, now he was mature old man who has been portrayed as a muslim who has strong soulful connection to Allah (referring to the meetings of Haji Marjan with Molana SB)
2. Writer has shown very weak Eman of a woman who murdered his own husband with the help of love of her life but now she has convinced him again in old age for Suicide.
3. I couldn't digest how Hilmand change his mind, they should have shown at least in flash back.
Where is connection between Allah n a man? A soulful connection and Trust in Almighty is a key to success for a Muslim. Showing Suicide of elderly couple without knowing result of court was childish, running away from situation was childish. The narrative of fear of society can lead you to suicide is ok but showing no faith in God has disappointed me.
It's high time for Pakistani Drama writers and producers to go deep in narratives they are setting in dramas as their Dramas can impact many lives.

And I’m not promoting any personal agenda, this writer Mustafa Afridi is also a Pashtun, he understands the culture and that is probably the reason why he made them both choose suicide over living an honour-less life. It is a very big thing for a “Mashar” to be humiliated publicly and in that magnitude, he had no other choice than to either leave the village for good or disappear. And I once again endorse that I don’t agree with the ending. They should’ve left the village instead of committing suicide.

Was waiting for ama's review after watching sang e maah episode.it was so illogical. The end was not romantic at all. they were glorifying suicide. The whole story,dialogues, performances were mind-blowing but the end ruined the masterpiece.

is justifying/glorifying their suicide but it
had to end like that. They were
murderers who committed a cold blood
murder without anyone knowing. When
law is taken in someone's hand and then
that person becomes the ruler of town, it
just doesn't add up. Haji Marjan led a
respectable life and he just couldn't bear
the notion of being ridicule in whole
society. Writer just couldn't give happy
ending to murderers then it would have
been glorifying the murder.

Habs is the most intruiging drama at the moment! Its the only drama I dont skip a single moment of! KTK just creates a HUGE HYPE from promos,teasers, but when those scenes are telecasted in the episode its really boring and not impactful! I thought habs was gonna be most boring from teasers, but its the most entertaining! it shows you shouldn't judge a book by its cover! inKTK mehak's father doesn't stop acting like a bichara which gets sooo irratating to watch! I mean, if these happen to ur daughter, u wouldnt cry, you would stand up to her strongly!!! in habs ushna shah's voice is enough to capture the audience, she sounds strong-headed, and her dialouge delievery is really good unlike other actresses, apart from Saba Qamar, Sajal Aly and the girl playing Banno in Habs (my opinion)
